Seeing IM2 tomorrow, but you know I'm excited. I thought Kick-Ass was only alright, the romance subplot really killed a bunch of it for me. Posted on: 10 May 2010, 14:20:10
OK so Iron Man 2. Met my expectations (whereas Kick-Ass did not). I think it's as good as the first Iron Man; Not really better, each have third act problems, but not any worse even if it didn't surprise by how good it was like the first one did. And I'm a big War Machine fan, so yeah.

Not enough ammo for the M-90 Cain? I don't understand this. I have never had this issue unless I'd JUST used it. Anyway I use the sniper rifle a LOT. I'm only just getting into using the tactical cloak now, though. Really helpful when crippling synthetics in a firefight. They do have weapon upgrades but the upgrades themselves aren't customizable since they all just stack together.
Not the kind upgrades I'm talking about but yeah. I don't know if I'll play through it again. Not that I don't like the game a ton, but it's not really my thing to replay this kind of game, and I don't totally have the time.

A MMO set in the Mega Man X universe, where you can create your own character, make him either a civilian, a maverick, or a maverick hunter, and do pretty much anything you want?
That's why.
Sounds like one of your theories and I don't think it would work. Nor do I want it to.

I've only played an infiltrator in either, really. But yeah, if you killed the Thresher Maw people will talk about how noone's done that since Wrex did the Rite (although I killed tons of them on foot in the first game it took longer!). Using the M-90 Cain, as long you time it right, makes it easy to kill the Thresher Maw with like 3 minutes left on the timer.
But I'm pretty sure that's the only time I've used that weapon without killing myself in the process (it launches something like mini-nukes, for anyone who hasn't played).

My assistant manager agrees. He accidentally downloaded just the audio tracks from every single episode but gave them a shot anyway and said it was still just as good.
Anyway I don't know if I've been on since it happened but I'm really into the show Chuck these days.

I'm not done but yeah the characters have more to them, still you can't really change their armor/manage them other than they're stats and weapons which is kind of weird.
I agree on the helmet thing. I keep buying new ones but I don't ever use them unless the game makes me, at which point I get mad that it makes me use the N7 helmet when I have better ones. Every time you get a full armor set, whether through DLC or whatever, it's a lump that you can't customize or change in the slightest, which sucks. So even though they might be better I don't use them. I can't stand walking around a city or other DMZ with a helmet on like a jackass.
The first game might have had recoloured weapons but it seemed there was actually more of them and their stats were clear. I LIKE that they could be better at some things and worse at others, same for the armor. And I miss the upgrade slots. It was really useful to be able to put a Scram Rail on a weapon on the fly.
Anyway, Did you manage to kill the Thresher Maw? You can pass without killing it but using the M-90 Cain made killing it pretty simple.

It fixed a lot the issues people had with the first one but I think it streamlined it a bit too much. There's stuff missing that I really liked. Other than that, so far the story of the first one was better, but the second game in a trilogy usually suffers in that department.
I guess I like the first one better so far, though there's neat new stuff in this one.

I'm not a big Ultimates fan.
In that... I haven't liked anything I've read from Ultimate universe. I started The Ultimates (the first one) but I didn't really get into it. I really don't like Cap in it at all.
Ultimate X-Men supposedly gets better after the first volume but it's UP TO the first volume to get me into it so that didn't work.
Ultimate Spider-Man is done by one of my favourite Marvel writers but... It's really weird.

I guess that's convenient but I don't see the point. I said NON-Pixar. Meaning since this isn't Pixar, it's surprising that it's not just another one starring animals.
Not how it read.

Here's the new design for Iron Man. I like it. It makes him look like a bodybuilder Iron Man and not a Marvel Iron Man.
For what? A cartoon? If it's for anything else I don't like it. The best thing they did was bring in the Extremis armor, it only makes sense that his suit is similar in style to a fighter jet, and it's also completely stupid for Iron Man to have muscle definition since he's a guY IN A SUIT! Although it does kind of make sense since they've changed the way the armor works now, but still, muscley Iron Man was always pretty... not gay, but...
Yeah yeah, we get it, you're an Iron Patriot. I still like it.
... I don't know what that's even supposed to mean. I just like the old armor better, don't be a dick. Do you even know what the Iron Patriot is? Anyway I'm warming up to the new armor but it's nowhere near as cool as the last one.

Yeah I really hate those talking animal Pixar movies like Toy Story, The Incredibles, and Cars.
In all seriousness I am really tired of talking animal movies. Also those kinds of jokes ASR mentioned are more typical of Dreamworks..

I'm still deciding if I'm gonna put any prelim film work stuff up or not until I'm done the year... But here's some of my life drawing final I haven't decided if I'll put up on my blog or not.
I handed in better photos than these but I can't really access them right now.
