I don't know what that means. Anyway the story of how it got to this is so long and complicated I'm not even gonna bore you guys with the details but, as some know from Facebook, I got THE call. Yup. I got a job career animating. I started on Monday. I can't say too much, especially since I'm not even sure what I can say about it, but I'm working on this new Disney show called Fish Hooks (working title) which is coming out in fall sometime. I've watched rough cuts of a couple episodes and it's actually really great. Really funny.

What? They always cross... At least, Ho-Oh was in Silver and Lugia was in Gold, just at different points than in their actual versions. I like the black one at least.
This is where I'd say "That's what she said" if I wasn't funny.

The thing I don't like about Flash is that it WILL randomly do weird things even though your actionscript is fine or whatever you drew should be OK.
For instance if you draw on two frames, tween them, and then undo the tween, it can totally change the drawings completely instead of just putting it back to the way it was.

Woahkay. In my absence I've posted a LOT more frequently to my blog. I'm gonna update here with that stuff slowly over the next while, but I'm not sure I'll get to all of it since it goes back a bit. Anyway, here's just some sketches and doodles for now that you may have seen on, in, or around Facebook and/or have noticed my blog feed on there. Posted on: 13 May 2010, 01:25:11
Alright. Here's some other stuff. The Economic Hero, myself in Jamie Hewlett (Gorillaz) style on the Plastic Beach, and a toony fanart of DC Comics speedster character Jesse Quick. More soon. It's a bitch to put anything up from home compared to at school.

I'll check it out eventually but it's not something I'mma rush toward. The three segments with MacGruber and Charles Barkley from the show are good enough for me, really.
We have MacGruber trucker hats with what I guess are quotes on them to give away at my work.

Hey man, if you want this go get it. You sound like you've made up your mind but I just want to help you along, and I know just how you feel. But I know the program works, at least for some. No program works for everyone but I have a few friends that took that program and one of them now works at Fuel here in Ottawa (which is hard to get into, at least for illustrators/animators, not sure about people on your side of it) and another friend works out in the Maritimes.
Lawyers have to go to school for seven years and have a work comparable to what I had in animation. I don't think your program is easy--I know it's not (after first year, anyway)--but I don't know if becoming a lawyer is easier. I have a friend that actually had a nervous breakdown in law school recently and came home from England early, with a sabbatical for school.

It's possible, but they at least sound like their BEING dicks. I don't mind anyone's beliefs until they start pushing it on other people. It's the same I hate like every commercial source of news for pushing an agenda.
I'm getting this from a name, so it could easily be all be unfounded. I mean... You could think Aqua was all about water, but instead they were about far lesser things. Far... far...

About weather; It was 39 Celcius in Ottawa today. That is #####ing way too #####ing hot for May.
Other sexier news; This weekend I did testing at an animation studio in west Ottawa from 9-5 each day. I'm the LAST person to be actually cocky but I thought my stuff was some of the best in the group tested. I haven't gotten word from them yet, though that might be a good thing because everyone I know of that HAS gotten word from them didn't get a spot. A confidentiality agreement keeps from talking about what I did there but wish me luck guys, I'm really hoping I get this job now!

I haven't been here for a while so I'm behind on making fun of it.
This ree in my class liked it. It wasn't shocking if you know this asshole but it was funny when he piped up after I said how terrible it is.
Oh yeah I went to Yuk Yuk's recently on a wednesday night, which I think is something I'm gonna do more because it's a night when established comedians you've seen on TV AND new unknowns (as well as in between) all try out new material but it remains one of the cheaper nights to go. Badass.

This probably doesn't apply to people outside of Canada, I'm not sure if it's been/going to be released outside the country, but I got a pass to see The Trotsky the day before it opened and I thought it was REALLY good.
It stars Jay Baruchel as a 17-year old who claims to be the reincarnation of Soviet revolutionary Leon Trotsky.
I liked it better than Kick-Ass and Iron Man 2.
I don't know if it's everyone's thing but if you get a chance, you know what to do.

I know it doesn't affect this, nor should it, I was just mentioning this reminded me of it.
Anyway yeah he's in the credits of the show, but what happens in those credits never had any explanation. In the movie, those scenes actually play out as sort of a prologue type of thing so you actually find out what was happening there.

I actually like Dice Man a lot but I think his name sounds stupid, which is a concept issue.
I hate that the MM style keeps five fingers and a thumb, it works against itself.
Punch Man's got some cool stuff, but I'm not so into Cactus. I find Sound Man is trying way too hard to be Soundwave.
I really like Surf Man's design the most, but I don't think his name suits him. Something more like Sub Man just makes more sense in my opinion.
I think it's great that you guys avoided colouring them in obvious ways, such as with Inferno Man.

Yeah I watched like the last 30 minutes of a newer Dock What today and I actually didn't mind the new guy, though he got ridiculously mad rather often. Maybe it was just that one though. It was the one with angels. I dug it more than what I've seen in the past.
Anyway, I have to say that Detroit's local commercials via ABC 7 (or whatever) have equal to worse acting than Atlanta (via Peachtree TV). And yes I'm complaining directly to you, Alec.

OK, Topper. That's like saying you bought a deck of cards at the dollar store for a buck right after someone says they got one for two.
Anyway Audiosurf is still five bucks, I've heard. I don't know. I'll wait to see about this Mac business.

I don't see how this is better or worse than the last 800 iterations of Pokemon. I stopped after Silver and I still fell that I'm better for it. This one's cool though. And I have to admit, calling it "Black" and "White" actually intrigues me a bit.
