Title: Reploid collaboration.
Post by: Johncarllos on 4 August 2008, 22:24:36
Basically, One person will draw each part of a reploid in a certain order.
First, we need to decide type and whether it's human or animal.

The order:
Helmet.
Torso.
Shoulders.
Arms.
Legs.
Additional Weapons.
Doohickies.

Nothing needs color or any certain media, and nothing has to be amazing.
Then one person will draw the thing as a whole. They have creative license to pull all the pieces together.

As I'm starting it, I say it's humanoid, and water based.

I'll start by posting a helmet in a bit.

This sounds like a lot of fun, but I don't think I can participate since it's midnight here and I'm too sleepy to draw, and by the time I wake up tomorrow this will probably be done. Anyways, I'd love to draw a part of it, or maybe even the whole thing when I wake up tomorrow unless it's already been done.

This sounds awesome.

HURRY IT UP ALREADY

OKAY.
Drawing the helmet now.

Scanning.

Posted on: August 04, 2008, 07:45:24 PM

Thar.
Torso is next. Have at it.

Posted on: August 04, 2008, 07:48:48 PM

This is not 100% final.
The whole thing is a work in progress.
Everybody can call a part.

Are those horns? 'Cause the side shot seems to be shorter and they're all curled back.

Not BAAAAd though.

When this Reploid is done, should we make another one, then another one, and so on?

Post by: preventerWIND on 5 August 2008, 11:29:43
Yeah, we'll make a lot. I just hope none of them go Maverick! M I RITE LUL!??!

I'll do torso.

Why did you have to pick water? XD That's the most difficult element in my opinion.

Does Head not count? >_>

Title: Re: Reploid collaboration.
Post by: Dragster on 5 August 2008, 12:35:04
Head has been done, or maybe you were talking about the face? in that case I'd say you're probably allowed to draw a face since John just drew the helmet.

Title: Re: Reploid collaboration.
Post by: Vinchenz Rock on 5 August 2008, 12:58:13
Technically, no, because only the Helmet has been done, not the head.

Post by: Dragster on 5 August 2008, 13:33:06
That's pretty much what I said. >__> Sorry if I wasn't clear enough about it, anyway, I can't think of any good ideas for any body parts... I hate making water reploids!

Title: Re: Reploid collaboration.
Post by: Johncarllos on 5 August 2008, 14:49:09
Faces are generic, and I didn't want to have anything specific.
Somebody can add a face of they want.
I figured it would be saved for the one who pulls it all together.

Also, They are pretty much shells in the helmet.

I know the helmet has already been done, but your helmet idea inspired me, I don't want you to use my helmet design though since John was first, but anyway, here's my version of your helmet John.

You are now my second favorite noob.
Good adaptation of it.

I am not really a noob since I was here ages ago, and then left, and when I came back I had to re-register. But thanks anyway.

Looks really good, love the art. But the head looks too much like a goat.

I have the body ready but I forgot there were separate body parts like shoulders to work on. Won't bother posting it, and I think I'll pass anyway.

I got next, then!

Posted on:  5 August 2008, 17:36:15

Done, real quick too.

I finished fifteen minutes ago but I just realized that my friend's dog is freaking out because of the storm we're having, plus other things happened.

Ignore the shoulders and legs I started to draw for him; I used those to help me out.

Also, those are water tanks on the sides and middle. Hope its clear enough.

A NEW TAKE ON IT.

NOTE: You don't have to draw previous parts.

o

Well, I did anyway. rofl

I think you should spend some more time on it, it's really not clear what's what... The concept is fine, but rushed drawings always look confusing, especially since you took the picture with a camera and not a scanner.

Yeah, other than the studded neck bit, I really can't see what it's meant to be at all.

Nice work on the re-do of the helmet, Dragster.

It's 3 water tanks placed vertically, made to look like a vest and tie.

eh...

*awaits Dragster's re-do of that/them/whatever...*

(no offense...)

And I'll form the shoulders!~

Posted on:  6 August 2008, 01:06:37

'Kay.
So yeah, oversized shoulder things that resemble Kappa heads.

Title: Re: Reploid collaboration.
Post by: Johncarllos on 6 August 2008, 01:31:36
ooooookay.
We can get those to work.

Title: Re: Reploid collaboration.
Post by: Captain Sanoguchi on 6 August 2008, 01:37:28
Well, they kind of make since.
This dudes, a water dude and he's got horns.
Horns are kind of demonic or something.
Yeah, and Kappa are water demons or something.
See where I'm goin'?

Title: Re: Reploid collaboration.
Post by: Snare on 6 August 2008, 01:49:14
The horns resembled a Nautilus shell or...any chambered mollusk shell for that matter. Am I right to assume it was that?

YES.
Astute observation.

eh...

*awaits Dragster's re-do of that/them/whatever...*

(no offense...)

I remade the helmet cause I liked the concept John came up with, I'm not too fond of the vest idea though. No offence. But thanks for the comment on my remake. ^^ Besides, it's stated in the first post of this topic that it doesn't have to be awesome. Making the whole thing work later on will be the challenge this topic is all about, correct? I did make my own torso to go with the head though, but I wont post it until this reploid is done.

Title: Re: Reploid collaboration.
Post by: Abominator on 6 August 2008, 16:38:31
I was half joking.

Anyway, I don't see why we have to be so humanoid...

Look at most of the Mavericks in the games.

Title: Re: Reploid collaboration.
Post by: Johncarllos on 6 August 2008, 16:40:50
Right.

Sano's shoulders are non too amazing, but we WILL use them.

Arms are next. Anybody want?

Abe, after this reploid is done, whoever puts it all together chooses the type and 'element' of the next one.

Since I started, I chose humanoid because it's something we're all familiar with.

Ehh, sorry, I was at my friends house when I took that, thats why it looks so blurry.

He doesn't have a scanner.

Title: Re: Reploid collaboration.
Post by: Dragster on 6 August 2008, 20:49:14
I don't know if it's allowed, but if it is, I'd love to try to pull this all together when all the other parts are finished.

I was talking about if it was allowed to call the last step like that before anyone else got a chance to say something.

Sure, I like what you've done so far on the pieces.
But just this once.

If nobody does another thing by noon tomorrow, I'm doing the arms.

Title: Re: Reploid collaboration.
Post by: Dragster on 7 August 2008, 12:20:37
I drew the parts we have so far, and I must say... the guy who made this robot must've been blind, on drugs, drunk and retarded. XD

Post by: preventerWIND on 7 August 2008, 12:27:14
I'll have you know I find that extremely offensive. As I am totally #####ing smashed right now.

I'm gonna make a doohickie BTW. I got some mad inspiration.

I think it's safe to say JC is going to be making the arms.

It's a design.
