Yeah me too.
Anyway I just saw a preview on Rogers On Demand for a movie called JCVD where Jean-Claude Van Damme plays himself and robs a bank.
:-O
I picked that up on DVD a while back along with Outlander (Vikings vs. Aliens. Best. Movie. Idea. Ever.). I haven't gotten around to watching it, but I've heard its really funny. You can find it for like $10 over at Wal-Mart.

You might have fun watching Death Race or even Never Back Down, but you might need to be in a theatre.
Is Never Back Down any good? I had considered picking it up when it came out on DVD 'cause I like movies about people beating the crap out of each other (hence why 1/3 of my DVD collection is poorly-dubbed kung fu flicks), but I never got around to it.

Cocaine overdoes, WOW.
If you saw Crank 2, you'd know what I mean. You might even say I'm underselling it.
Crank 2: High Voltage was a million times better than the first one. Anyone who didn't see it because they thought it looked exactly like the first one (as it turns out, was a ton of people) REALLY missed out.

I wouldn't even expect to be hungry seven and a half hours after two burritos.
It's twelve hours later and I'm still not hungry. And these are Taco Bell-sized burritos, mind you. If this was Panchero's-sized, then yeah, I'd totally agree with you. But they pack these mothers full of stuff. HOW MUCH?
I want one...
It's like $3.50-ish per burrito. And it's a limited-time only thing, apparently.

Seriously, you need to check out the Yiddish version of "99 Problems But A Bitch Ain't One."
Does such a thing exist? If so, I'd love to hear it. Rap songs in other languages are always hilarious, like the Japanese version of "Gangsta's Paradise".

Recent music purchases:
36 Crazyfists "The Occulus" Anti-Flag "The People or the Gun" Anti-Flag "Which Side Are You On? EP" Bad Religion "New Maps of Hell (Deluxe)" Blink-182 "The Mark, Tom, and Travis Show (The Enema Strikes Back!)" (live album) Art Farmer "Gentle Eyes" Michael Giacchino "Star Trek soundtrack" NoFX "Coaster" Pennywise "Reason to Believe" Rancid "Let the Dominoes Fall (Expanded)" Sly and the Family Stone "Stand!" Sly and the Family Stone "The Woodstock Experience" (a recording of their set that they played at Woodstock)
I'm glad to see Anti-Flag bounce back after "Bright Lights of America"...that wasn't a terrible album, it just wasn't them. I must say that I was very impressed with Pennywise's latest - I only had a few cuts from various punk comps, and then they released the album for free to those who followed them on MySpace. I downloaded it, forgot it, and then finally listened to it last week...great enough that I went off and bought it.
I probably won't be hitting up the record store any time soon, but if I do, my next purchases will probably be thenewno2's album and The Vines' latest.

I've been up for 24 hours straight working and going to class. Good times.
I had to have both windows open in my car as well as blasting the new Anti-Flag album on my way home from work just so I'd stay awake.
The new album is okay. It's better than "Bright Lights of America", but not as good as "For Blood and Empire".
I barely ate yesterday, so I just had four Hot Pockets when I came home. Soon I will be going to sleep so I can be up for work at 1 PM.

I tell people when they borrow something that if they don't plan to return it in the same condition they got it, they either owe me repair costs or a brand new one.
I just give people one simple rule, "If you leave marks on it, I leave marks on you."

I take it you didn't play Ninja Gaiden Shadow on the Gameboy.

I've been playing the new Transformers game, which is pretty mediocre yet fun. It holds your attention for each of the levels, which last around 7-8 minutes each, and then after you turn it off you're like "Why the hell did I buy that?"
I picked up Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood today, 'cause I liked the first one.

My thoughts about Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
It was okay.
All in all, I was disappointed by it. It isn't bad, but it isn't nearly as good as the first one. New Autobots and Decepticons are thrown into the mix without you being told what their names are even though a bunch of them hang around until the final act (for instance, there's a new Autobot that's a silver car whose name isn't given until the end, and I'm not sure if it is Bolt or Jolt). The movie's plot, which is too long for its own good and feels like it should be a plot for the cartoon show, not the movie, feels like it's barely there. It's there and I understand it, but for the first hour it feels like the movie goes no where and throughout its held together with explosions.
The movie tries to be like Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, but it felt more like Mortal Kombat: Annihilation (except Mortal Kombat: Annihilation sucked to no end).
Was it fun? Sure.
Do I want to buy the toys? Heck yeah. Especially Jetfire.
Do I want to see it again in the theaters? Not really, unless it is on an IMAX screen.
See it on the big screen once; that's all you'll need.

If you like philosophy, watch Waking Life. There's so much in there I wouldn't even know where to start.
Thanks for reminding me about that movie. I own a copy of it myself (I bought it along with eXistenZ and Pootie Tang years ago), and you can find it dirt cheap at most places - an excellent film to donate to the library.

I've been playing The Maw, even though no one had suggested it (I had the demo sitting on my HD, and I decided to finally play it). Pretty good game; little kids will certainly love the hell out of it. I should be getting the first of many points cards today, so we'll see what I get from the many suggestions. I don't think it's that terrible of an idea. If you don't want to use it, then don't use it. It's meant for little kids so they don't get so frustrated that they never pick up the game again or lose interest in gaming all together.
Honestly, I could see myself using it just to see how I'm supposed to beat one enemy or how I'm supposed to get by something. After that, I'd go back and replay the section myself.

I gave up on SoulCalibur IV because the Tower thing is pissing me off.
I've moved on to Mirror's Edge, which I'm having a helluva lot of fun with, despite me dying every 2-3 minutes. My only problems so far is that the tutorial doesn't let you practice enough, and I'm really regretting having fired a gun twice so far. You get an achievement for not having fired a gun, and both situations I could've handled without using force. Still, I love the frantic feeling of the game.

I saw Land of the Lost the other day. I thought it was pretty funny, but there was no way in hell that this would have made its budget back even with proper marketing. I'll be picking it up on DVD.
I'm going to see Year One later this afternoon.
These are my recent DVD purchases:
American Gangster (3-disc) Fearless (Unrated) From the Earth to the Moon The International Newsies
I'm glad to see my library's DVD collection is finally growing. When I came here I started donating some good titles, and the library has finally picked up with their purchasing. So far I've donated:
Appaloosa Apollo 13 From the Earth to the Moon - Complete Series The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly The Last King of Scotland Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World Newsies No Country for Old Men The Right Stuff Street Kings

It was like they cobbled together all of the things that have been time-tested to tug at your heartstrings into one book, and the resulting combination is either extremely effective (to girls!) or pathetically obvious (to boys!) and it's just lame.
This movie will be a HUGE hit.
To GIRLS!
The plot description you just gave sounds like a made-for-Lifetime.

My feelings for Mass Effect have blossomed into love.
Just don't turn into me while you play Mass Effect; I skipped countless classes to keep playing through the game even though I had already beaten it before. Yet my GPA went up those semesters...odd. Anyway, I beat X-men Origins: Wolverine the previous night. Pretty good game, when it isn't busy crashing. Right now I'm on Resident Evil 5, but I may switch over to SoulCalibur IV.

IIRC Ikaruga is on XBLA, so I'd suggest picking that up if you like shmups that fill the screen with bullets
Is that the one where you have to flip your ship to kill different colors enemies? I've played the demo before; it seemed pretty insane but I wasn't sure if I liked it. ...Banjo-Tooie?
I'm really considering that one; it seems like a no-brainer since I already have Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts.

Hi all,
It's been a while since I've posted here, mainly due to moving, getting a new job, and starting up my MBA. Woo hoo. Anywho, a buddy of mine is friends with another person who is able to get us points cards for free. I'm not going into details, but we're not talking "five-finger discount".
ANYWAY, I'm looking to get some new XBLA games with these points which I'm about to receive, but I don't really know what to get.
I already plan on getting Mega Man 9 with the points, so don't suggest that. I'm also going to be picking up the GTA add-ons and the two Watchmen games when they appear on physical disc, so don't bother suggesting them either.
This is what I already have: Aegis Wing Alien Hominid Arkadian Warriors Assault Heroes Banjo-Kazooie Battlestar Galactica Bejeweled 2 Bionic Commando Rearmed Boom Boom Rocket Brain Challenge Carcassonne Catan Cloning Clyde Dig Dug Doom Doritos' Dash of Destruction Fable II - Pub Games Feeding Frenzy Galaga Galaga Legions Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved Hardwood Backgammon Hasbro Family Game Night - Battleship Heavy Weapon: Atomic Tank Hexic HD Luxor 2 Marathon: Durandal Marble Blast Ultra Mr. Driller Online Ms. Pac-Man New Rally X Outpost Kaloki X Pac-Man Pac-Man: Championship Edition Rez HD Samurai Shodown II Small Arms Soul Calibur Streets of Rage II Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Texas Hold'em Time Pilot Totemball Undertow Uno Virtual On: Oratorio Tengram Wik: Fable of Souls Wing Commander Arena Xevious Yaris
So, any suggestions?

Don't bother checking out Damnation. The steampunk western stuff might make you think it will be really cool, but the coolness factor stops at the concept. The game plays like a #####ty Gears of War 2, the weapons are all complete ass, and the voice acting sucks.
It's always the games that I look forward to so much that end up sucking incredibly. First Too Human, now Damnation.

I picked up Clerks II for $5.
I saw Taken the other night. I really liked it, although I'm annoyed that it was cut so it could get a PG-13 rating. I'll pick it up on DVD when it comes out.
What really bothered me about the movie is his daughter's friend
After he discovers her dead, he just leaves the body in the room. What happens to the body, did the authorities recover it and send it home? Or is it there still in France? And what about her family? They never really touch on the fact after Bryan gets his daughter back, that his daughter and her friend just spent almost 96 hours in a world terrible, disturbing world that caused her friend to be filled with drugs and be used for sex and die because of it. Granted, Bryan's daughter was probably also coked up at the time, but don't you think that would cause her to come out of it #####ed up?
I also watched Babylon A.D. I thought it was okay, but it definitely isn't a good or bad movie. Interesting enough to keep my attention while I wait for another Riddick movie (which you know the studio execs were trying to go for), but not great enough for me to recommend people going off to buy it. Rent it.
