I beat Borderlands the other day. Not a fan of the lack of an ending, but I'm probably going to finish doing all of the jobs before I move on to another game, which will probably be Assassin's Creed II or The Saboteur. And then once the kids go home for Christmas break, I'll get my copy of Jurassic: The Hunted back from one of my student workers.
And then I get to punch a raptor IN THE MOTHER#####ING FACE!
If that alone isn't worth $40, I don't know what is.

It was really good, but it was really depressing.
I started examining my own life as I was watching the movie, and in all honesty...if someone had handed me a gun while I was watching it, I would've blown my brains out.

That was a bull##### call by the ref on that catch. Absolute #####ing bull#####. Last time I checked, catching a ball with your hands and then landing on the ground with the ball in your hands was a fair catch, not "juggling".

Barnes & Noble is currently running a 50% off sale on Criterion Collection DVDs, and my brother's library was having a book fair, so I went off to B&N today to get some new movies.
I picked up:
-Charade -Ikiru -Tokyo Drifter -Youth of the Beast
I was thinking about picking up The Red Balloon, but that would be with money I don't have (so no go on that), and Salo: 120 Days of Sodom. But if I picked up Salo, it would've been nothing more than a curiosity that I would have probably only watched once - and hated myself for it.

This week has sucked.
-My stupid Wapanese roommate tells me that he's decided to take the whole day off (November 10) from both of his jobs. I had decided to do the same thing weeks ago and never even told him. So I had to put up with his dumb ass all day.
-Picked up Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (SWEET!). One hour of gameplay, and my 360 RROD'd (#####!).
-I have class tomorrow morning (Saturday), and this stupid textbook is becoming more and more unreadable. I am going to burn this book when the class is over.

For all of those that care, starting today and apparently running until the end of November (they may cut it shorter, I don't know), Barnes & Noble is selling all Criterion Collection DVDs at 50% off.

I saw Saw VI on Friday. I thought was a lot better than Saw V. The series is getting more and more unlikely, yet it is still pretty well written...but I'm really looking forward to the conclusion of the series. It needs to end, and soon - like, within one or two more movies.

Supposedly if my college gets two more confirmed cases of swine flu, the whole place will be shut down for a week and decontaminated. One week of paid "vacation"! Here's hoping it happens the week of Modern Warfare 2.

For the time being, just about any game that's out on the PlayStation 3 or Wii and not on the Xbox 360.
I'm not a console fanboy - I was originally planning on getting a Wii before I decided to get the 360. I've just got so many damn games for the Xbox 360 (according to IGN, I have 166) that I don't have time for other consoles.
For the Wii, I would like to be playing The Conduit, Madworld, and the various Super Mario and Zelda games. Oh, and that Epic Mickey game? Hell yeah.
For the PlayStation 3, I'd like to be playing the Uncharted and Uncharted 2, God of War 3 (when it comes out) and the Resistance games.

I'm playing Assassin's Creed now. The graphics are beautiful and the plot is oddly intriguing.
The game is a nice change of pace for me; I'm no longer the one-man army that I'm so used to being, and I have to constantly be stealthy and watch my ass. Coincidentally, those same reasons as to why it's a nice change of pace are also the reasons why I'm hating this game.

I beat Gun the other day. If you want ALL of the achievements, you have to play the game four times. ##### that noise, especially with the final boss.
I'm either going to focus on Assassin's Creed or Brutal Legend.

Hey,
While working on some stuff for my class that started two hours ago, I started thinking about this old game I used to play on my Macintosh back in the day. It was based on Asimov's "Foundation Trilogy", and you had to visit 20 planets within 1000 years and get them to join your empire before civilization completely crumbled. Very early RTS game, although I got to be pretty good at it when I was a kid.
Does anyone know the name of it? It was something like "Galactic Empire" or "Galactic Conquest", but I can't find any information on it. I'd love to play that game again...
