1  MegaMan Series / Classic Series / Re: Remember Dreamwave's Mega Man Comics? on: 18 December 2012, 04:14:17
Yeah, it'll be interesting working him in there. Of course the series is ultimately its own continuity so there's always leeway of some sort. I could buy it either being set further into Megaman's future and thus why Bass is there or Bass will be activated/built early and play a role in the story but never actually run into Megaman to keep it in continuity.

What'd everyone think of the last issue? The "Rock of Ages" story.

Loved it. I was really happy to see one foreboding green robot. I wonder how or if he'll ever be dealt with in a real manner.
2  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: What game are you playing? on: 28 November 2011, 05:09:51
I'm playing Chrono Cross now. Yep, Chrono Cross. Not as fun as Chrono Trigger was but it seems neat overall. First time I'm playing it.
3  MegaMan Series / Classic Series / Re: Remember Dreamwave's Mega Man Comics? on: 8 September 2011, 05:23:54
Hah, the art is kinda  stiff but hey, they are robots! *rimshot* I like it regardless.

Can't wait to get issue 5 of the series came out today/yesterday/Wednesday. Man time IS SLIPPING. XD

The preview of the issue looked fun.
4  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: What game are you playing? on: 22 August 2011, 06:31:09
Currently playing Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep. Played as both Aqua and Terra so far. I collected all the items and did everything for Aqua and am now going back and getting all the same things for Terra before I play as Ventus.

Pretty good. Life goes on, and how!

Finished my Ba's in July and I'm off to begin a Masters soon.

Mannnnn the years have gone by since I joined up here.
7  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: The Introduction Thread on: 11 August 2011, 18:32:07
So. Hi folks! It's been ages since I've come here regularly. The new Megaman comic rekindled the flame of love in my heart.  Plus you know. I heard Fireman's was in it. That helped stoke the flames.

Dunno how many remember me, or if I did anything memorable to be memorable but regardless hi again!
8  MegaMan Series / Classic Series / Re: Remember Dreamwave's Mega Man Comics? on: 10 August 2011, 07:11:52
A little off topic but I thought it'd be neat to bring up I bought a piece of art from the Megaman series.

Anyone willing to guess what it is?

Take a look.

Two of my favorite comics right now (or one's I'm fully looking forward to) are Megaman and InFamous. Guess the gamer in me won't die.
10  MegaMan Series / Classic Series / Re: Remember Dreamwave's Mega Man Comics? on: 19 May 2011, 06:08:20
I heard the series is actually just a four issue mini, anyone know? I saw the variant for cover four (featuring Iceman) and it said 4 of 4 for the issue.   :o

Regardless I'll keep buying, gotta support good old Rock. Oh hey, and Fireman's there.

BURN IT ALLLLLL. *ahem*

Edit: Nevermind, crisis averted. Seems they're just using numbers on the series to depict arcs and issue 4 is the end of the first arc (first game maybe?).
11  MegaMan Series / Classic Series / Re: Remember Dreamwave's Mega Man Comics? on: 28 January 2011, 05:56:11
Been a long while since I was on the MMM or any Megaman related site. But the news of this Archie comic reminded me of all the fun times I had with all the Megaman stuff of the past. Can't wait to read it.

14  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Soul Calibur IV, I am your New Challenger! on: 13 August 2008, 03:44:43
I...I...how...How could a game be made so badly? The endings were awful, character customization feels way more complicated than it should and overall the entire games design and structure feels warped. I was ho hopeful. :-[
15  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Super Smash Bros. Brawl Discussion Topic on: 29 July 2008, 20:11:20
Well I don't own the game (since I don't want to get a Wii) but I must say I absolutely can't play well with the Wiimote. It's so awkward. I can;t even figure out how to use any of the moves I use because I keep wondering what I did with the mote to activate the moves, if anything.
16  MegaMan Series / Classic Series / Re: GENERAL CLASSIC SERIES ENQUIRIES on: 28 July 2008, 07:46:46
Is Super Adventure Rockman really part of continuity? If so when does it take place?

What ever happened to Dr. Lights first 6 robots? (Fireman, Iceman etc...) Were they completely destroyed, rebuilt?
17  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Games you wish had sequels on: 28 July 2008, 07:18:03
Goden Sun 2. One sequel is not enough!!!
18  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Chrono Trigger on the DS? on: 28 July 2008, 07:16:49
Time for a thread re-rail.

I can't wait for this. I hope it'll be more than a simple port but it seems unlikely. Regardless I'll be picking this up. I've waited for a portable Chrono Trigger game for quite a while.

God, Lavos was probably the coolest villain to never actually speak I've ever seen.

I mean the game perfectly builds up his greatness and power and he never does anything directly until 1999 except in those weird attempts to access him where he goes berserk and destroys stuff by shooting fire up.
19  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: What game are you playing? on: 26 July 2008, 21:44:29
Final Fantasy Tactics A2 Grimoire of the Rift and Final Fantasy XII.

I'm really loving A2 it seems as great as the original but even more so. Could've had a longer story though and it's story ending was kinda weak.
20  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Soul Calibur IV, I am your New Challenger! on: 1 July 2008, 03:38:28
You know what else looked fun as hell? Soul Calibur III.

Yeah. Exactly.
...It wasn't? It seemed much better than II.
21  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Soul Calibur IV, I am your New Challenger! on: 30 June 2008, 05:58:20
Now while I was thinking of starting a new thread for SV IV since their already was one I thought I'd post here.

Now it's just about a month left until the game's release and the trailers for the game have been coming out.

As much as I felt it was odd for the Star Wars characters to be in the game they do seem to have been balanced enough thanks to how the Force has been oncorporated in the game.

Also the idea that you can damage your opponents armor somehow and make it last the fight looks fun as hell.
22  MegaMan Series / Classic Series / Re: The Official Mega Man 9 Topic on: 29 June 2008, 00:15:12
*Blink* My god it's not a joke, a hoax or Megaman and Bass?

First off, sigh, Wiiware.

Second off, gfgdgfvsdfffsfv.

Now with that out of my system I'm interested in seeing what comes from this. I thought Capcom forgot all about Rocky Light here. Is it only coming out for Wii so far? If so, I'm quite saddened.

Now while 8 bit doesn't automatically mean it'll be bad I'm a bit annoyed since I do like the higher bit sprites of Megaman.
23  MegaMan Series / Legends Series / Re: GENERAL LEGENDS SERIES ENQUIRIES on: 15 May 2008, 20:04:25
Exactly what was the Master? An advanced humanoid? Robot? I can't remember much about him. I remember their was this huge talk with him and Trigger when I played it a long time ago but I fail to remember anything about it.
24  MegaMan Series / ZX Series / Re: Megaman ZX 3 a definite *warning possible spoilers* on: 15 May 2008, 19:59:33

Wow, I suck.
25  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Comic Book talk (I.E. Marvel, DC, Image and the rest) Spoilers ahead on: 15 May 2008, 03:49:42
Alright let's kick this thread into a Lazarus pit and continue the talk.

Booster Gold #9: If you ever liked the characters from the Justice League International this is one great issue. You'd think alternae timelines would get annoying but Booster Gold makes them fun.

The Titans #2 is also out. Giving some more info as to why Trigon's started attacking the Titans is given. No one has yet found Tempest.

Amazing Spidergirl #20. Clone Saga Take Two, maybe. This could be interesting.

Guardians of the Galaxy #1: While I've heard great things about Nova and Annihilation I've never really been into Marvel's space stuff though I did pick up Annihilation: Conquest from the start. Honestly the teams and it's semi existent dynamics are great andeven without the endings teaser I'm definitely gonna keep reading.

Wolverine #65: Wolverine and Mystique continue brawling virtually killing each other. The ending felt awfully forced but I guess it's to be expected as there was never a real chance of Mystique getting killed off.

My top three of the week in order of greatest to not as great but still greater than the rest is...Booster Gold, Guardians of the Galaxy and Wolverine.

Ah Countdown, at least you made Buddy Blank into OMAC again. Good enough.
27  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Comic Book talk (I.E. Marvel, DC, Image and the rest) Spoilers ahead on: 25 April 2008, 02:53:01
Let's see. This weeks releases were decent.

Hulk #3 was a fun read since I dig the whole "who's the new Hulk" aspect of the story. And by now from what I infer the new Hulk's been narrowed down to either being
Doc Samson or General Ross, though there's always a possibility for a surprise twist I hadn't planned on
Countdown has finally ended and left me with a bit of a did anything really happen feeling since only Mary was really affected, not counting the New Gods dieing which was its own seperate thing.

The Birds of Prey finally get back on friendly terms and the team's getting ready to relocate.

Death of the New Gods 8 certainly left me reeling a bit since it somewhat makes the battle in the previous weeks Countdown make some sense and less sense now.
28  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Comic Book talk (I.E. Marvel, DC, Image and the rest) Spoilers ahead on: 23 April 2008, 15:56:13
I think you can only hate it if you try to take it seriously. Which I don't think you should ever do with the Dark Knight Returns universe. I'm only a bit annoyed with it because of how craptacular Batman and Robins relationship becomes in the future.
29  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe on: 22 April 2008, 21:36:20
I myself am looking forward to this but I kinda wished they kept the DC characters more street level, I mean if you're going to weaken the character or handicap him to make him playable is it really needed? Oh well.

Hmm, it'd be amazing to have Blue Beetle (Ted Kord) as a playable character.
30  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: The "How Was Your Day?" Thread on: 21 April 2008, 04:57:50
I got a bunch of my comics signed at NY Comic Con.

My favorite reaction was Phil Jimenez saying "Whoa! Blast from the past!" when I asked him to autograph a Justice League International comic (#68) from 1994. It's pretty interesting when you see the artists in real life and seeing the artists interact.

Also, I bought an artwork of Spiderwoman even got it lower than usual thanks to haggling.

Then I went to work immediately after. My coworkers could tell something happened to me for I was happy. Boy I can't wait for next years Con.

Whoo boy. I went to the New York Comic Con today only day I can attend this week. My god it was great. Sadly I should've cut class since I was not able to get to the line for Alex Ross signings fast enough and wound up carrying many comics around for no reason. That and no one for Dynamo 5 comes in until Sunday. Sigh.

Anyone every read Captain Atom: Armageddon? It was actually a pretty sweet mini series, that was a nice break from the standard DC and Marvel universes. Plus the Wildstorm Captain Atom rocks what DC's looks like.
That was the DC Captain Atom. After that run he vanished and came back into the normal DC universe during Infinite Crisis got a new suit and suddenly became a bad guy.
34  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Comic Book talk (I.E. Marvel, DC, Image and the rest) Spoilers ahead on: 3 April 2008, 23:20:56
Nope nope there's only one "Omniverse" DC, Marvel, Image and any other universe of Multiverse is a part of the "Omniverse" since Omni means all. Or so I've been led to believe.

But let's see this week was great. Action comics and it's Superman and the Legion of Superheroes story has a grand finish and an even grander teaser for an upcoming Final Crisis mini/tie-in.
The Legion of Three worlds which will have Superman-Prime and the Legion of Supervillains and of course 3 of the incarnations of the Legion.
Strangely I wonder if the 5 years later Legion will ever appear again?

I feel a bit disappointed in Young Avengers Presents #3 as I was hoping we'd see the Scarlet Witch at least a bit.

Secret Invasion stirs things up with at least three confirmed Skrulls.

Countdown was alright but I was hoping that
Mary was going to stay good, so I suppose this means she'll be evil during Final Crisis and during her fight with Supergirl.
New Exiles was a bit too wordy for my taste this time around.

Supergirl features the return of
Resurrection man
I don't think I've seen him since DC One Million.
35  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Comic Book talk (I.E. Marvel, DC, Image and the rest) Spoilers ahead on: 26 March 2008, 03:13:25
That's one thing I dislike. The Captain Britain Corps and now the Exiles are the Gaurdians on the OMNIVERSE which means any alternate reality anywhere including DC, Marvel, Image,Dark Horse, real life, etc... but we know they'll never have a crossover with another company in it, except maybe Image like that one Marvel Team Up issue with Invincible.

I will always complain about Magnus' death, way too quick.

As for DC that'll likely be fixed in Final Crisis given Rip Hunters mention of the Megaverse in 52.
36  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Comic Book talk (I.E. Marvel, DC, Image and the rest) Spoilers ahead on: 26 March 2008, 02:48:14
It's amazingly silly if you type it out yes. Well at least they had the Weapon X Gambit and Storm as a couple before they died due to dangerous mission and King Hyperion. That and Magneto and Rogue who had Magnus as a son, sadly he didn't last...

Exiles has killed off lots of characters when you think about it. Some in quite gruesome ways. IE Mimic possessed by Proteus and turned into pretty much a mummy.
37  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Comic Book talk (I.E. Marvel, DC, Image and the rest) Spoilers ahead on: 25 March 2008, 05:51:28
Yeah she's around. The Black Atlantean Gambit is making passes at her in New Exiles right now.
38  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Comic Book talk (I.E. Marvel, DC, Image and the rest) Spoilers ahead on: 25 March 2008, 04:06:39
Psylocke joined after New Excalibur and the Exiles (in the crossover X Men Die by The Sword) fought against Mad Jim Jaspers I believe (never was a big Excalibur reader) and almost all of the Captain Britain Corps is annihilated. The 616 Captain Britain is saved by two of the Exiles and taken to their Crystal Palace and is saved with the help of alternate universe doctors Psylocke calls in with the Palace's systems. In the end after the whole war since the Army is wiped out it's up to the Exiles to oversee the Omniverse now and Cap Britain entrusts Psylocke to help the Exiles or somesuch.

Hmm, which Rogue do you mean in Exiles? The one on the team who just joined?
39  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Comic Book talk (I.E. Marvel, DC, Image and the rest) Spoilers ahead on: 24 March 2008, 18:10:27
A lot of 80's comics were pretty bad. And I can't stand how they were all into in the heavy inks and many lines back then. Like.. Look at Image back in the day, urrrrrghnnn.

I think New Universal starts again soon, can't wait.
Yep. newuniversal starts again May 14. I can't wait either.

I've also been rereading my Exiles trades. The series seemed to be great until just around Mimic died. Just felt off after that. The current New Exiles story seems kinda eh. But it might be getting interesting again with the lasts issues cliffhanger of that worlds Black Panther. Also, I hope they resolve the whole Proteus issue soon.

Not immune from what I know but HIGHLY resistant.
41  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Comic Book talk (I.E. Marvel, DC, Image and the rest) Spoilers ahead on: 23 March 2008, 02:33:40
Seems like I'll get the ball rolling again. DC this week shocks us with the return of a character who died in a controversial way in Robin 172.

Brave and the Bold 11 was a fun read having Ultraman(Anti Matter Universe) and Superman start a team up. Though Superman erroneously stated that Ultramans power comes from the sun. He actually gets it from Anti-Kryptonite but I'll let it slide.

Countdown: I feel robbed by the entire hinted origins of Kamandi's universe being ignored as the Morticoccus unleashes itself.

Death of the New Gods, JLA and Tangent Supermans Reign felt like boring filler. Though Death of the New Gods angered me with the death of two more well known New Gods.
42  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Comic Book talk (I.E. Marvel, DC, Image and the rest) Spoilers ahead on: 2 March 2008, 05:18:09
Damnit, I've been reading back issues of Azrael and damn it all I wish DC hadn't gotten rid of him.

Aside from that the best comic out without a doubt is Blue Beetle 24. Use of his entire cast, a great tribute to the prior Blue Beetles and even an in joke about Amazons Attack.

I had to read and present on a bunch of Luke Cage, Power Man issues yesterday. I really liked that Security City issue; plenty of parallels you can draw between that and the Green Lantern/Green Arrow comics that were coming out in that decade.
I read some of the Green Lantern/Arrow stories in a trade from my library once. Wasn't their team up series mostly about getting people aware of social problems around the world and the like?
44  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Comic Book talk (I.E. Marvel, DC, Image and the rest) Spoilers ahead on: 27 February 2008, 01:43:49
Who here read the Seven Soldiers of Victory series (from 2005 I think it was)?

I'm currently buying back issues of it and liking the story.

It's an interesting concept for a series, a team of people who never meet (except for a few who do at the very ending) and stop an invasion from the future because of their apparently predestined actions.

For one I love the Sir Ystina character though I do wonder where the other Shining Knight dissapeared to. I haven't seen him since Identity Crisis and the Firestorm mishap.
45  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Comic Book talk (I.E. Marvel, DC, Image and the rest) Spoilers ahead on: 22 February 2008, 05:26:29
Ah, I now looked up The Hoods bio. He can turn invisible while holding breath, walk on air and has some kind of electrical discharge ability, pretty interesting.

As for Death of the New Gods, I don't think it'd make Kirby spin in his grave. Decent explanations have been given for why it's happening.
46  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Comic Book talk (I.E. Marvel, DC, Image and the rest) Spoilers ahead on: 22 February 2008, 03:42:26
My knowledge of The Hood is sparse to say the least. All I know is he works similarly to Cloak I hear.

I've started reading some of the Tangent comics series. I've managed to buy The Tangent Superman, Atom, Joker and Sea Devils. I honestly love it so I'm now stoked for this Tangent Supermans Reign mini coming up.

Also, Death of the New Gods and Countdown are definitely picking up toward their conclusion.

May Solicitations have now been released for Marvel and DC.

I'm definitely looking forward to Gotham Underground and Robin, though mostly to find out if this new Spoiler running around is indeed a revived Stephanie Brown.

Back issues I'm reading. Some of the Tangent Comics which I'm reading for the first time. Tangent Joker's great.

50  MegaMan Series / Miscellaneous MegaMan Games / Re: On a scale of 1 to 10, how good do you think your Mega Man playable skills are? on: 9 February 2008, 02:27:52
Classic: 4/10. I've played a few of the games but the early ones like 1 and 2 seem impossible to me.

X: 7/10. Better overall here. I think some of my suckiness might be just because some of the games IE 6 made it impossible to pass some areas unless you had a specific character. Random areas: I hate you.

Zero: 8/10. Except for #1 the rest of the series seems pretty damn easy to me. Scratch that, the first level of #1 with the Boss before you have any weapons seems unbelievably hard to me. (Aztek Falcon I think? The thing Harpuia flies on)

ZX: Don't have any.

Legends: 7/10. I've only played Legends 2 so my answer is based off of that. I did tend to get lost in the ruins.

Battle Network: 9/10. I shine in Battle Network in all except making a flowing chip folder but you don't really need to make it flow that well to win anyway.

Star Force: Don't have any.
