51  MegaMan Series / Classic Series / Megaman Legacy Collection announced on: 9 June 2015, 20:38:06
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yVfeUq5TmQs

http://www.rockman-corner.com/2015/06/mega-man-legacy-collection-announced.html

Long story short, original NES set will be sold on all major platforms this summer, including PC, and have new stuff in it. Things that seem to be like NES Remix challenges as well as art galleries and other things. At the very least, this is gonna be a good bargain by merit of the original 6 classic games, and I do believe this is the first time people can "legally" play the original classics on their PC.

The big thing to note is that this is a CoA project, which is important due to them constantly mentioning in past interviews that CoJ kept blocking them from doing stuff in the past with the series, even as simple as allowing X8 and other PC released games to be put on Steam in the past. This is a good indication, since it means we're not repeating the Sega of Japan vs Sega of America mentality that ultimately put Sega out of business, only Capcom edition, so this is a good step for the future.

Another major note is that the article notes that this is being done in a new engine that is intended to act as a "future proof" design, basically remaining faithful to the original games, while also being able to be ported to just about anything. As I rambled at a wild eagle earlier, this potentially means that at the end of the day, CoA now has a fancy Megaman editor style program with which they can churn a functional MM11 out that functions just like the original games, compared to before, where MM9&10 were created by scratch and likely discarded like most source codes after the project is completed.

Baby steps, but this is a step in the right direction finally. We've gone like... 5 years now without any real Megaman games?
52  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: Matrix Archive? on: 9 June 2015, 20:08:48
Seeing as Capcom USA JUST announced they're porting a new NES Classic set of the original 6 MM games with a slew of features to all the current major consoles AND PC, you MAY just want to consider slapping up those old guides once more.

http://www.rockman-corner.com/2015/06/mega-man-legacy-collection-announced.html

Your guides were the best, and I still remember bits of the help you gave when I replay classic games, like the enemies that love to jump out of pits. I say go for it, Abe, and reclaim some of that well deserved glory and respect you once had from the community abroad, since if you don't do it, who honestly will? GameFAQ guides? MMHP? Megaman Network or RPM?

I guarantee if you ask, every person that still lingers here will offer their support in one way or another, either through direct assistance, or at least through genuine cheers of excitement and encouragement.
53  MegaMan Series / Miscellaneous MegaMan Games / More generic news indicating things might not be dead soon on: 3 June 2015, 03:46:04
Was browsing that site and found more articles from today about the state of all things in the house of Rock.

http://www.gamnesia.com/news/capcom-has-a-new-producer-dedicated-to-the-mega-man-series#.VW5o1M9Viko

http://www.gamnesia.com/news/theres-a-lot-more-going-on-for-mega-man-than-whats-being-reported#.VW5nns9Viko

So it seems there is some new person in charge of the series now, and Capcom is ramping things up. Maybe we'll finally move away from the realm of Airman air fresheners and shipping tape, and possibly back to the realm of digital downloads. You know, baby steps by this point, since Capcom seems to be unable to really make any new games these days, outside of running old code into converters and slapping "HD" on their older titles, so best to have some lowered expectations during all this.

Whatever comes of it all, I doubt it will be as bad as Xover or Capcom's endorsement of Street Fighter x Megaman as a stand in for his 25th anniversary.
54  MegaMan Series / Miscellaneous MegaMan Games / NEW Mega Man cartoon coming in 2017 on: 3 June 2015, 03:02:03
http://nintendoeverything.com/mega-man-getting-animated-series-on-tv/

No clue which series it will be based on, but they have 26 episodes lined up and expect to release them in 2017. Tradition dictates that when Capcom is spending money for Megaman cartoons / animes, they are used to promote  the series, so this COULD also be indication that our favorite tin can might be clawing his way out of the recycle bin and back into relevancy once again.

Given Sonic Boom was crapped out in far less time, we might be able to rule out souless CG, so possibly flash? It is being handled by Man of Action, who is known for Ben 10 and Generator REX, so get those mixed feelings revved up. Also gonna guess that due to the prior shows that company has worked on, this might hit Cartoon Network, which could do the series some good for actual exposure for once.

Oh, and Viz just agreed to host the 26 episodes they dubbed of Star Force to Hulu, if you need a reminder of how bad things really were when the franchise went kaputz last time.
55  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: 20XX on Steam on: 1 May 2015, 04:24:56
Had horrible expectations of it over the art style they had, and this thread didn't help get me excited for this game. Almost as if on cue, one of the Youtubers I follow showcased the latest version with an overhauled art style and more refined mechanics, and it actually looked fun.

$10 and about 7 hours later, I can say that this is more or less Megaman X meets Network Transmission, with rogue-like elements of gameplay since I guess that's what the kids like these days. Randomized levels and bosses, whom you beat and get a weapon from that can act as a weakness to another boss on your randomized play. Weaknesses are set in stone, but the order bosses load in is not, just dictated by the stage.

Control wise, it feels basically like an X game. They refined it just yesterday to have more or less spot on dash mechanics finally, as it originally ignored gravity, allowing antics like sliding over pits, gaining air if you dashed towards the top of a slope, and wonky physic bugs like dashing into a stable object while on a falling platform. Nina is the name of the X character, and she handles just like armorless X would in later games. Ace is the name of the Zero character, who has charge saber, as well as combos. Both characters have default weapon variants that can randomly load into your runs if you take challenge paths, ranging from stuff like spears / glaive / axe for Ace, to shotgun buster / tri-beam / Cardinal Shot (shoots 4 directions around character), and even Metroid's Wave Beam, complete with same name and effects.

The objective is to simply try to make it to the end of the 8th stage and live, and you encounter beefed up enemies once per stage that can drop the equivelant of Bolts in MM8. Your hub has a random set of 3 items you can buy with said bolts, ranging from things like air dash / double jump / extra primary weapons to swap out during runs. These are merely unlocked for you to find in the maps as you do runs, as well as possible boss rewards for beating the stage and boss under a time limit.

Also has the Halo Skull system to make things harder to your liking. They got one called "Rock" that makes spikes and bottomless falls instant death, with a note about "Remember your roots" as a nice nod to the true MM games.

Since I'm whoring by this point with praises, it also has couch and online co-op. Co-op just has the screen pull farther apart instead of causing any real issues from what I've seen so far in videos and the like. Pretty much the X series co-op you may have always wanted, but knew you'd never get.

The devs are basically making a better Megaman Unlimited than Capcom would have pushed out by this point in time, and I say give it a shot sometime. $10 now, expected to go up to $15 in June or so due to the devs constantly meeting update deadlines every two weeks (advertised by ingame counter on the title screen), and it just shows that the devs were fans that took inspiration and ran with it. Or wait til it hits bargain bins with the first big Steam sale and save like 15 minutes worth of wages by waiting a year or so, since tis tradition with Steam.
56  MegaMan Series / Miscellaneous MegaMan Games / Re: Mega Man Amiibo! on: 5 April 2015, 17:33:31
I'll give this thread a bit of love, and note they announced a few days ago that they're now adding Mega and the latest amiibos to Mario Kart 8 as amiibo costumes, with a pretty much spot on Mega.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=53RNVupdZ2k

Also, for anyone who has yet to get a Megaman amiibo, Walmart still has several left due to making it an online only item, but you can do as I have and order it to ship to a nearby store to negate shipping fees. Gamestop shows they're in low stock, and with the announcement of the next three waves on the way, I expect them to sell out, or NoA to just pull them off a shelf and throw them into a fire with how they're handling amiibos.
57  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: A question that has probably already been asked on: 29 March 2015, 06:04:07
It was a joke, though I'm sure we could start him up one and have it where people just give him money every time they get the urge to give any to Capcom. We could call it, "Abomintor's penny for your thoughts" campaign, then marvel as he makes more than Capcom of Europe in a day.

$20 a month and you can see him "Meh" every so often on the forum!
58  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: A question that has probably already been asked on: 28 March 2015, 00:18:34
People had an interest in it early on, when it was first announced and they were eager for Inafune to showcase what he really could do with full control. Fast forward to present, and only the most die hard or buyer remorse seem to really care by this point, since MN9 turned out as far different from a MM game as you can get. It's got that kind of lifeless look to it that really hammers home how little they truly care, but hey, they got DLC ZeroBass.EXE in it! Kids rike da  Zello, right?

There's a big difference from looking at X5 and realizing "Oh hey, they got an X1-4 as well as a GB game for this, and all these even older games too!", and "Oh, Mighty Number 9 is made by this guy that never made a good game on his own before, and still gets credited for being the creator of Megaman despite just being an art guy for nearly 12 years into the series.

Don't worry, we had a break period in the past with Megaman for a few years. Capcom done the same with many of their fighting games due to oversaturating their own market. Fast forward and both SF and Megaman seen record sales as a result of this tactic. You want to see this place live again? Then offer to rub Abe's belly and give him some milk, or subscribe to his Patreon. All those VC rereleases were prime chances to cater to a new generation, but the Classics are long done on being uploaded now. MMM as a site thrived with it's great pointers on the Classics, with things like inching along the edges due to enemies springing out of holes.

Forum? It's as lively as it'll get, since modern gamers are all about their friends lists and Facebook statuses, and dislike forums. Unless it's official forums, then they only care to pretend their opinion is important to the respective game / company. See any MMO forum in existence.
59  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: A question that has probably already been asked on: 26 March 2015, 17:21:39
The same reason I'm sure there isn't an Azure Striker Gunvolt section. It's not Megaman.

I don't know why people are still clinging to Inafune's teats and treating all his works as Megaman, but this one clearly is not one of Capcom's Megaman titles. Outside of him trying to clearly "borrow" as much as he can without letting Capcom sue Comcept out of conception, it doesn't have anything really in common. It's like Legends without the Megaman name to get some free sales flowing, which knowing Inafune, sounds about right.
60  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: Matrix Archive? on: 25 March 2015, 04:18:27
Because the main site is long gone, I had to turn to Mandy Paugh's place for Classic information recently.

I feel as dirty as that statement sounds.
61  MegaMan Series / Legends Series / Re: IT'S REAL! LEGENDS 3 COMING TO NINTENDO 3DS! on: 29 September 2010, 08:55:13
Are you... TLO?
62  MegaMan Series / Legends Series / Re: IT'S REAL! LEGENDS 3 COMING TO NINTENDO 3DS! on: 29 September 2010, 08:33:14
And that's why the Gods let lowly peons have Edit Buttons on this fine piece of internet wizardry known as MMM.

But seriously, now comes the worst part. The actual wait for Legends 3, since... you know... It's coming. Just like most of the fanbase that still cares about it just did.
63  MegaMan Series / Legends Series / IT'S REAL! LEGENDS 3 COMING TO NINTENDO 3DS! on: 29 September 2010, 08:06:12
http://protodudesrockmancorner.blogspot.com/2010/09/mega-man-legends-3-is-real.html

So... Duke Nukem Forever and MML3 announced and coming out basically at the same time. The Mayans and Nostradamues couldn't even forsee this level of madness, I bet.

So who else died a bit on the inside? I know my head still hurts since it's not actually trolling for once, but still hard to belive it's real...

Edit: Meh, I'm a moron. Nothing to see here, mosey on along to the other fancy topic. Ah well, the source has links to the Developer's blog and all by piggy backing Protodude's link about it. Sorta better than the speculation topic, maybe?
64  MegaMan Series / Miscellaneous MegaMan Games / Are the Complete Works worth having? on: 13 August 2010, 00:13:58
First off, sorry if this is the wrong section to ask, but it's sorta a broad question, so figured this area works for that.

Over the past few years, CoA and I think... Udon has been publishing those Complete Works booklets over here in the good ol US of A for our wallets to devour. Just really curious if anyone else here has any of them (Classic / X / Zero / Soon to be MMBN), and if anyone could attest to the quality and if it's worth tracking them down or not. Like is the X series one a literal translation of the bad fan translation bit about how Light made the Maverick Virus that caused most of the older fanbase that still cared about some form of storyline to just up and move, or no?

I've put off buying all those books that keeps getting published in the past few years due to bad timing on money and other stuff, or just forgetting they exist...
65  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: What game are you playing? on: 12 August 2010, 04:36:31
Been messing around with the newest BlazBlue lately, and trying to get into original Ultima Online on the side. Played BBCS so much in one setting that I got a lump on the joint on one of my fingers when I finished, and that never really went away... Are fighting games with 6 hours of nonstop 100+ matches supposed to do that...?
66  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: E3 on: 16 June 2010, 22:44:24
They had games between the Luchadors wrestling onstage / Glee Kareoke Group Demo and the guy losing his head onstage, and now it's sit down time to have them overly explain a Hack N Slash's mechanics and the story that nobody will really care about attached to it.
67  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: E3 on: 16 June 2010, 22:06:49
You fine folk are missing out on the glorious Konami Conference, if you didn't know. Truly a masterpiece of amusement!
68  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: E3 on: 16 June 2010, 17:36:29
Any clue when Capcom is doing any sort of presentations this year? I'm curious to see what their big Megaman related suprise is supposed to be.
69  MegaMan Series / Classic Series / Re: The Official Mega Man 9 Topic on: 13 September 2008, 07:19:56
Final Boss Battle and Boss Theme makes me think that our sound composer is in another building... At least the final stage themes are quite well done, along with several of the stages, But then...

Dunno... Boss Theme sounds like it's better suited to be in the old NES game called Krion Conquest, and Final Boss Theme sounds like it's from the old Saga Frontier games, basically. Those two songs just really don't feel like "Megaman" music to me, at all.
70  MegaMan Series / Classic Series / Re: The Official Mega Man 9 Topic on: 13 September 2008, 05:11:49
Play-Asia probably has it, but I'm too lazy to look there to see how much of an FMA drama plot they'll want out of you to obtain it...
71  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: HAY GUYZ!!! INAFUNE ANSWERS EVERYONE'S QUESTIONS (But your own!) on: 7 September 2008, 23:35:32
Yeah, but if Wily himself is actually the virus, then that means he's most likely Issoc as well, and basically Sigma X2 onwards, and POSSIBLY Serges, the only robot next to Chill Penguin and Medi/Techno made short enough to look up skirts >>
72  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: HAY GUYZ!!! INAFUNE ANSWERS EVERYONE'S QUESTIONS (But your own!) on: 7 September 2008, 23:02:30
I dunno... Considering how Light's Hologram basically pulled a Jesus and somehow repaired X... Then the way Sigma was talking about things, and just the general storytelling in X5, I'm more inclined to really believe he meant it as the virus really brought Wily himself back somehow outside of just a few old notes and things.  I mean, Sigma basically flat out said that his "Partner" built his new body and all that, and he actually talked with Zero's father, though maybe for mind trip purpose.
73  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Chrono Trigger on the DS? on: 7 September 2008, 10:44:22
Is this REALLY just an exact port with the PSX cutscenes tossed in? That's all I'm finding on scans, and the "Trailers" floating around so far for this version...
74  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / HAY GUYZ!!! INAFUNE ANSWERS EVERYONE'S QUESTIONS (But your own!) on: 7 September 2008, 10:40:50
Link is here

So... How's about that Zero NOT killing the Classic characters out?

Or even better! How about that Question 6, where the virus actually REVIVED Dr. Wily in the X series, and Inafune publically shown that he's so very, very special at pulling whatever ideas out of thin air he wants, and dubbing it plot?

Decent read, outside of that 6th one, since... Yeah... Anywho, does this mean Rez is going to recreate the "Shot heard around the world" with that kind of bomb dropped?
75  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: What game are you playing? on: 13 August 2008, 15:55:00
You dudes are missing out on Bionic Commando: Rearmed!

The quality is actually a bit better than I thought it would be, though I still got a ways to go before I get to the end to see if Hitler's exploding head is still in. Hacking into the enemy's communications is now an interesting 3D puzzle, so that's pretty nifty. Seeing the enemies say ROFL in the hacked communications wasn't what I was expecting to see, though...
76  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: So... Final Fantasy IV DS... Yeah... on: 27 July 2008, 08:41:13
You'll definetely enjoy it if you liked the original version. Seems pretty faithful so far, save for that spike in difficulty that modern era players will whine and moan about.
77  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: So... Final Fantasy IV DS... Yeah... on: 27 July 2008, 08:11:23
Anyway, I won't be playing this until Thursday.

But...! But...! You are CANADIAN! Your money is worth MORE than America's Monopoly money paper! You could be playing this YESTERDAY with that kind of capitial power!

So people like Sano don't go, "tl:dr" to every topic in the world?
79  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / So... Final Fantasy IV DS... Yeah... on: 27 July 2008, 07:45:23
Game is the hardest FF I've played since the NES original cart I own, or possibly FFXI, though the latter is more of a time sink by nature, and hard in different ways... Though... This game shares a good bit in common with the original FF now, as far as practice and application seems to go. Oh yeah, 3-10ish gil from fights, which feel and act like struggles of life and death for a change, and most of your winnings go to the Inn, so welcome back to RPG Gameplay of True 92, where grinding is your only form of safety from the enemies, since unless you find it in a chest or win it from a fight, odds are that the shiny gear you see in stores is just there to remind you how poor you are.  ;)

Enemies cast Break/Petrify right as soon as you leave Baron, and also cast Slow on you too. Enemies also seem to have Counter Magic now, where if you cast certain things on them, they'll cast preset spells of their own, like Reraise, and reviving all their pals you just killed... Oh yeah, Goblins/Imps? Lowest enounter rating they've ever had in a FF game now, replaced by the new Ahriman enemies that I really don't remember right outside of Baron at the start of the game, which now appear as regularly as those did. Lots of harder level mobs popping up so far that shouldn't be where they are, unless my memory is failing me, since old game and aging player are kinda getting up there now.

Pretty game is definetely pretty, though. All the major plot scenes so far, save for a few, have actually been voiced. Kain is so hardcore old world talk, that he's rose even higher on the scale of greatness, for people that fap to the Dragoon stick. Cecil and the rest... Not really that old world in dialog. Story rewrite is pretty good too, and definetely more fleshed out than past renditions, which is a great perk.

So two hours in, and "SES SIL" is about level 17-18 now, and enemies still can wipe him out in a single turn. Finally got Sage Tellah, and things are starting to even out a bit, but just a little. Going to sink more time into this, since it feels like a pure gem, especially after that LOLSTARFORCE deal...
80  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: New Sonic Game exclusive to Wii... on: 24 July 2008, 09:15:24
I haven't played Sonic 2006 but I'm disagreeing with that. I utterly hated Secret Rings.

After playing 06 for about 10 hours, and having the play experience making me realize that I could make the AVGN look like a SAINT, I came to realize that Sonic and the Secret Rings deserves the praise it gets from the dozen or so remaining true Sonic fans, and X7 in comparison is like being part of a 100 woman orgy that exists soley to pleasure you for all time. I also concluded that having a terminal illness of the worst kind would likely be more enjoyable than playing 06, or being stuck in Capcom Hell where Rez resides as Supreme Satan and determines punishments based on each Staff Member's crimes against gaming. It's honestly the first game I ever played that made me feel like I lost time from my life that I'll never EVER get back again, and it's not even an MMO!

Dude, Sonic can STAND PERFECTLY FINE UPSIDE DOWN ON CIELINGS. When he's not hacking all form of existence that way and putting Spiderman to shame, he has the ability to snowboard back UP the mountains at TOP SPEED! The "Amigos", who for the past 15 or so years prior to this game could jump and DAMAGE enemies just fine, now TAKE damage for that! There's SO much wrong with that game, so much that I could rant on about, and oh man the LP on Youtube I could do about it if I bought the right stuff...

ANYWHO, yeah, new game looks like it's more of a Sonic meets Zelda and they have a bastardized Secret Rings Half Brother Sequel. As far as non robot enemies and all, Secret Rings had it where the enemies were all animated objects for the most part, or else they were just animated magic, since Sonic Team knew that fans would eat up just about anything at that point if they were playing it. Then again, since it's been shown for about 16-17 years now that Sonic can cut through so many things that far far FAR exceed simple steel armor with his spin attack, I can't wait to see what ST tosses at the fans to eat up as to why he suddenly can't tear through some real scrap this time around.

Easy, my logic is flawed less, and Chron basically hit the hammer on the nail as to why I can make such a bold statement.

For every one or two Canadian or European, or heck, even Brazil fan that shouts that, there's a farm and a half worth of sheep that go bleat bleat to outnumber them, and then rave on about their Adult Swim and other things that's popular culture nowadays. Or else they're like the nerdy white guy speaking in Ebonics about his "DAWG MEGA MAN, YO!" on Youtube, since it's really a fact that the Americans are the most vocal of the fans on average.

Don't see the JP Rockman fans screaming that stuff, now do we? Then again, they got those fancy source books and severe beatings with strict discipline to know that their opinions are worthless unless it benefits their society with monies, so yeah... >>

Needs more Cossack, since he upgraded the Mega Buster even more than Light could, not to mention made Beat, who's one of the best support characters in the series, albeit he got drunk and lost all the parts for Beat every time :P

Besides, unlike WILY AND LIGHT, the man had his own CASTLE, and he clearly got LAID, and held a steady job while being a proper father figure to his daughter.

That bum Wily keeps bouncing around from faking good guy, to unemployment, to supreme ruler of creation, to now begging people to send him money to his bank account so he can be the hero... And Light... It's a fact, the man is a douche. He clearly let Wily work with him on Gamma, the MASSIVE POWERFUL PEACE KEEPING ROBOT, with the intentions of swiping it himself. Why else would the man make something so stupidly large and neigh invincible, save for the stupidest weapon weakness in the entire franchise, if not to get his own game on? Besides, if that doesn't sell you, Light made X into the most destructive force on Earth, and just sealed him away, and wasn't even sure if he would be safe or not, but that didn't stop him from creating more Armor Parts and Enhancements for X than Ghangis Khan has decendants, now did it?

89  MegaMan Series / Classic Series / Re: Proof of Megaman 9? on: 17 July 2008, 01:08:48
People think that MM9 is meant to bridge the gap, because they're blatantly stupid, and likely Americans. When the logic is that "X MEANS 10 IN ROMAN NUMERALS, RAWR!", as to HOW this idiotic notion came to exist, without people realizing that there's NO XI, just X, and THEN X2 and further down the line...

Yeah...

No REAL offense to the Americana posters here, but I don't really see the Japanese or Euroland gamers tossing that one out for years on end, with THAT logic.

The demo where the guy sucks hardcore at it and doesn't have a clue about the series shows that one platform where that Bolt is under that ledge in a slide fashion, so it's definetely going to be in there somehow.

Now it means we either have to farm bolts until the game is as boring and unfun as R&F, just to get standard gameplay features, or else there's still the big chance that it's downloadable content, since Capcom knows they have the fans by their balls and can squeeze as hard as they want until we pay the money that makes them happy.

Because they referenced it in ZXA with Aircon Man, or whatever he is, so of course it's now part of Inti Create Canon, which means it's Inafune's Rockman Canon Gone Wild. Now with added Cyber Elf action for extra Cyber Space Cybering >>

I'm not going to lie, since once I beat it and ZXA and play through all three levels of Model a's mini game, I'm dumping both of these off at Gamestop to collect probably a good down payment towards FFVI DS, or else pick up more 360 games to own and never play, because I missed out on them.

So... This mean Star Force has null replay value, then, or did Capcom just burn us out?
94  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Hurray! FFXIII is coming to the 360! I'm likely the only one to care, too! YAY on: 14 July 2008, 23:25:06
Seriously, that's awesome, since it saves me about $500 to play the latest installment in a generic RPG series that's all fluff and flash for a quick bit of cash. Now me and countless others have a title in the future that will basically ensue we have a strong case of RRoD in the near future, and everyone wins financially but us! Woohoo!

Guess it's a good thing Microsoft announced yet another 360 variation to phase out the old 20 GB model, since this thing is supposed to be a beast on the space it's going to take up, eh? EH!?!

They'll BB with you later on as the story progresses, so no worries there. Fastest way to get a higher Link Power is to just go nuts and BB with as many people as possible that own the game, or else beat the game and then raise your In Game Brothers LP by doing events for them.

As far as the part where you're stuck, you're meant to go around and talk to all the people in the area, as well as check the signs too, and it'll trigger an event and get the plot moving along.
96  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Nintendo DS Lite Hinge on: 13 July 2008, 21:09:36
My Lite that was from the launch batch is basically shot due to the hinges cracking on it...

Left hinge had a crack and later had the plastic break off it a year or so ago, but it was a nice smooth break, so it doesn't actually bother the system at all, so that was all right. Just a week or so ago, though, my right side suddenly cracked while I was playing Star Force 2, and that one is a good chunk bigger than the other side, and now my top screen just swings limp whenever I hold it, and really kills the experience on gaming. Like... I'll lay it down on a table or something to use it as an alarm, so I can watch the time as I'm doing something, and unless I have it propped against something, the screen will just fall backwards unless it's basically at a 90 degree angle, or else if it's leaning too far inward, the screen will just flop down and close.

Another mehful thing about my situation is that on the right side, after the plastic cracked off and all, it looks elevated by a cm or two more than the other side, so I'm probably going to end up buying a new unit soon enough, before I'm playing a game and the whole screen just pops off on me ><;

Capcom actually DID make a game with normal online play, minus mic support so there's not 8 year olds screaming that their "Megaman" is better than yours. Seriously, it's got random matchup and all. BB is just to guarantee you fight someone, like all FC based games, and allows you to trade cards to and from, as well as enhances useless numbers in the main game for perks.

PS, game flopped anyways, but LOLAMERICANS don't count to CoJ's master plans, or basically any fans for that matter, so buy at your leisure.

...Is it just me, or does a good portion of the layouts that were shown ripped straight from the older games, ala Splash Woman's Bubble Riser compared to Wave Man's stage, and all that?

The swinging platforms were impressive, and the way physics were utilized at that point in the video to build up momentum for each swing, so someone gets a gold star for that effort.
99  MegaMan Series / Classic Series / Re: The Official Mega Man 9 Topic on: 8 July 2008, 00:54:23
Xbox generation is special. They'd hate MM9 if it came out, but they're all raving about N+ and it's gameplay, so it's a mix bag there. They all still hop on the latest shooter game that comes out and go nuts over it, regardless of quality, though, so it's probably a moot point about them.

I guess what Chron said is true about them using the processor power to make a really nifty game, and that magnetic deal in that video means I just won by default a trivial argument on GameFAQ's out of the hundreds of topics about MM9, so sorta hurray there.

Music sounds so so for now out of the segments that were shown, but I'm still waiting more to see some HUGE Wily Fortress Bosses before I decide if it's a launch day purchase or not from me, since I'm jaded when it comes to how the MM series is handled anymore, and want to see the devs put their money where their mouth is.

Anyone else fear that this is how Legends 3 will be handled if this game sells well...?
