Buy...
... buy?

Music?
Buy music?
What is that?
252  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: The "How Was Your Day?" Thread on: 24 August 2010, 23:05:21
I wonder if you'll come out of your course the same Snare we always knew?
... or a horribly mangled Snare we don't want.

Agriculture is IN, though.
253  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: What Game AREN'T you playing? on: 24 August 2010, 18:19:09
For some reason I can't help but feel the game's soundtrack is not as good as Anamanaguchi's previous work, especially Power Supply.  Which is phenomenal, by the way.
254  MegaMan Series / X Series / Re: GENERAL X SERIES ENQUIRIES on: 24 August 2010, 13:30:58
Yeah, X8 is pretty cool.  I think my biggest complaint with it was probably the slightly sloppy control and general "meh" feel of the game.  It isn't horrible, though, and Axl is actually fun to play as in that one.
255  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: What Game AREN'T you playing? on: 24 August 2010, 00:52:10
but that is my job asr
it's my only job and i like doing it
256  MegaMan Series / X Series / Re: GENERAL X SERIES ENQUIRIES on: 24 August 2010, 00:51:24
Too bad there's so much awful in the way you can't enjoy any of it.
257  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: What Game AREN'T you playing? on: 23 August 2010, 23:39:25
Yeah, and they even ripped off the gameplay of River City Ransom and didn't bother to do that right.

Still really cool looking, but I don't think it's worth my monies.
258  MegaMan Series / X Series / Re: GENERAL X SERIES ENQUIRIES on: 23 August 2010, 23:36:59
At the very least X6 has cool music.
... it's nowhere near as good as 4, 5 and certainly not 1, but hey.
259  MegaMan Series / X Series / Re: GENERAL X SERIES ENQUIRIES on: 23 August 2010, 02:50:09
The worst part is, in order to get ALL of the upgrades, you have to save ALL of the reploids.
Who can die.
FOREVER.

WITHOUT YOU KNOWING.
260  MegaMan Series / X Series / Re: GENERAL X SERIES ENQUIRIES on: 22 August 2010, 23:33:57
It's not worth putting the time into it to complete it.
Thus, bad game IMO.
261  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: The "How Was Your Day?" Thread on: 21 August 2010, 14:47:18
I can't imagine being in your world of worship to no-name comedians and terrible movies.

But being different is good for you!
262  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: The MOVIE Thread on: 20 August 2010, 22:34:36
I can ignore it in anime for the most part because sometimes I just genuinely like the subject material.

I'm not sure there's anything that can stand on the art alone with the exception of a few movies like Akira and a handful of the cartoon shows.

--- EDIT

Not that anyone will probably see this, but Piranha 3D.  So much blood, so much cheese and so much fun.  This is the perfect horror/gore more for someone who hates spring breakers as much as I do.  It also has Christopher Lloyd.
263  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: The MOVIE Thread on: 20 August 2010, 21:15:19
I just finished reading the rest of the comic because people won't shut up at me about it.  I guess I am just too old to be in range to think it's really all that great.

I suppose what got me so worked up about this is that it is really not as great as so many people say it is.  At least it's not in my eyes.  That, and all of the shoving it in my face people have been doing.
264  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: The "How Was Your Day?" Thread on: 20 August 2010, 21:09:23
I just looked up his wiki.

Who?
265  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: The MOVIE Thread on: 20 August 2010, 13:56:14
Oh, it is like Powerpuff girls.  Then you realize some of these characters are supposed to be fairly old and there is zero distinction between children and adults, aside from some people being bigger.  It's cookie cutter, and it gives me a headache just looking at it.
That's not to say I don't like simplistic styles like the PPG, but at least that shows some variety.

As for Majikn's comment, I was mainly talking about the comic; I've not seen the movie and my comments about the movie are based on the trailer.  And yeah, maybe it's inspired by games but the whole idea of it feels like a slap in the face because someone is literally lifting things I like and giving them to people who do not deserve them.
In a form that does not deserve attention.

You know what, I don't think any of us are really going to come to some sort of consensus on this anyway, so let's just agree to disagree and drop it.
266  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Video share topic on: 20 August 2010, 13:49:00
Heh, the teleporter failure was great.
267  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: Let's try and liven up the MegaMan Matrix on: 20 August 2010, 13:37:57
Can I eat Snare's dead body?
268  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: The MOVIE Thread on: 19 August 2010, 22:55:48
They're all stupid looking kids.
Every last one of them.

Also, "gamer" is a word that does not mean what it meant when I used to call myself one.  I don't see how SP is a part of gamer culture because it throws around a lot of references for no good reason.  There is no need for it, and it does not make up for the story and writing being boring tripe.
Or the art looking like #####.

The movie apparently has very little in the way of these references.
I don't know if that's a good or bad thing.  I still don't know if I want to see it.  Leaning no.

But I agree with Wind that the game looks cool.  It's basically River City Ransom with sprites drawn by a narcissistic a-hole and really awesome music.
269  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: The Interesting Stuff thread! on: 19 August 2010, 01:44:44
This is what happens when you expand the demographic of video games too far.
270  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: What game are you playing? on: 18 August 2010, 19:39:58
That's GROOVY, Abe.

A friend of mine says Jim HD has four difficulty levels.
Easy, normal, hard and insane.
Insane being the original difficulty.
271  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: Let's try and liven up the MegaMan Matrix on: 18 August 2010, 19:37:32
If only I still had Flash.

... or, well, even if I did still have it I'd need a version that would work with the new viewers.
272  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: The MOVIE Thread on: 18 August 2010, 13:14:50
He's an ugly, retarded looking goofball with no talent.
A dead squirrel in a brown paper bag has mote emote than Cera does.

(Actually, I just wanted an excuse to say that)
273  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: Let's try and liven up the MegaMan Matrix on: 16 August 2010, 13:43:19
MM8 I could probably help make a guide for.

You're right, though, the current internet is mostly large, synonymous sites like Facebook or larger pseudonymous sites that have been around for a while.  I chalk it up to the internet itself being more accessible to idiots and people who aren't actually into computers that much.  Small fansites like this are almost a thing of the past... and generally the more obscure something is, the less a chance of the forum still being around.

For instance, there are no dedicated Grandia fan forums any more, and all of the sites are quite very dead.  I would know.  I was an admin at the last one.

Still, it used to be much more active. Or much less dead.

@Chron: I thought dying was only used for the verb dye, but I wasn't sure.
DHURR ARGENTINIAN KID IS ARGENTINIAN
Ahem.

You're right.  It should be dieing.  That's a stupid looking word.
OH NO I MADE A GRAMMATICAL MISTAKE
HEAVEN FORBID NOBODY FREAK OUT ABOUT IT
This is why I don't stay here all the time.
274  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: Let's try and liven up the MegaMan Matrix on: 16 August 2010, 05:24:18
Dying?

You suggest it's still in the process.
This place is dead. It has been for a while.
It is a corpse and we are the maggots stripping it to the bone.
275  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: The MOVIE Thread on: 14 August 2010, 14:41:21
I hate the comics.
... pretty much in their entirety.  Is it possible that I would even want to see the movie?
276  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Video share topic on: 14 August 2010, 14:40:06
How terrible.

This was 22 seconds well spent watching.

That reminds me.
277  MegaMan Matrix / The Creation Station / Re: MoX's Art Thread on: 13 August 2010, 20:34:08
Well I like it.  Maybe the muscle is off, but it still looks cool.
We can pretend that's blood!  Mmm!
278  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: The Interesting Stuff thread! on: 12 August 2010, 23:17:12
That's not bad.
That makes sense.

What doesn't make sense is why I can't find a job with a computer science degree from one of the best schools for it in my state.
Then again, I have a computer science degree.
279  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Upcoming Games Topic on: 11 August 2010, 03:13:41
Cheesy looking, but I want this controller.
It has buttons.
Enough buttons.

---

Adding to this, it looks like I can't use my line about when MML 3 comes out any more.
Because Duke Nukem Forever is really coming out.  I was watching the playable demo at the PAX show floor on a live stream.

It's like the end of an era.
280  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: The Interesting Stuff thread! on: 9 August 2010, 12:42:54
Aw, he just wants to play with you, Opal.
281  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: The Interesting Stuff thread! on: 7 August 2010, 13:34:51
Jigglypuff is one of my favorites.
This is just icing on that cake.
282  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: The Introduction Thread on: 4 August 2010, 15:25:52
About a ten day lag in posts; no recognition of posts in between.

I knew you were old, Rez, but holy crap.
Also, hey OD.
It's a miracle I know who you are.
283  MegaMan Series / Miscellaneous MegaMan Games / Re: Unreleased:Megaman Mania on: 2 August 2010, 14:00:21
Well I never had much of a problem with the way they handled it.
You just think of it like this:

It's not Wily Wars.
284  MegaMan Matrix / The Creation Station / Re: MoX's Art Thread on: 1 August 2010, 00:51:08
Ah, I hate artist's block like that.
Looks OK so far though.

HISSSSSSSSSSSSSS
286  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: The MOVIE Thread on: 30 July 2010, 22:59:00
That started in 1997.  You were seven or eight.
This is not the developmental time frame I am speaking of.
287  MegaMan Series / Miscellaneous MegaMan Games / Re: Marvel Vs Capcom 3 on: 30 July 2010, 22:07:50
Oh god, I hope he has more than one hit point.
288  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: The MOVIE Thread on: 30 July 2010, 21:57:35
You're 20.  You were born after the show stopped airing.  You also probably weren't old enough to remember watching Barney in your infancy.

But I bet
you
did
289  MegaMan Series / Miscellaneous MegaMan Games / Re: Marvel Vs Capcom 3 on: 30 July 2010, 21:56:02
Oh, what's he going to do, Aggravate everyone else to death?
290  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: The MOVIE Thread on: 30 July 2010, 17:06:33
That show was goddamn genius.
291  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: The MOVIE Thread on: 30 July 2010, 13:42:06
This still doesn't excuse you from the fact that you grew up watching Barney & Friends and Nick Jr. instead of Muppet Babies and Pee Wee's Playhouse.

I agree with you, anyway... albeit in a more toned-down manner.
292  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Upcoming Games Topic on: 30 July 2010, 04:01:44
Oh, nononono, they are a good school for a great many things.
It's a HUGE school with really impersonal classes most of the way through, but they are a fine institution, don't get me wrong.

... it's just they are not a media/fine arts school.
293  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: The MOVIE Thread on: 30 July 2010, 03:38:19
Nope, definitely the Barney.
294  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Upcoming Games Topic on: 29 July 2010, 21:29:28
Is it any wonder why I hate my state so much?
295  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: The MOVIE Thread on: 29 July 2010, 17:40:51
*grumble grumble*

Well, I probably won't go myself to specifically see it, but I also won't turn down going with my friends if they want to... not likely, but hey.
All of this makes me want to try reading the comics again.  I'm almost to the point where there is this little crack in the armor of my hatred.
296  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: Upcoming Games Topic on: 29 July 2010, 17:38:02
Look at how uncanny valley that is!
It's making me not want sex, and I am a goddamn H forum admin.

The funny thing is, this is the best UCF can probably do... whereas 85 miles away in Winter Park, Full Sail students make games that actually look something like games.
297  MegaMan Series / Miscellaneous MegaMan Games / Re: MegaMan Universe on: 29 July 2010, 17:34:56
Yes, you get to go for the rest of your life.

It's a lot shorter than it sounds.

Back to the topic at hand:
: CAPCOM
“This game will break the mold and challenge the conventional wisdom of what a Mega Man game can be. When fans finally get to see it, I believe they’ll envision their most far-out Mega Man dreams coming true.”

Challenge the conventional wisdom?  Wasn't that what they tried, I dunno, like six times already?
298  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: The MOVIE Thread on: 29 July 2010, 13:21:44
I highly doubt it'll do better than Inception, though. Inception was... more accessible. This is a VERY NARROWLY AIMED film targeted SPECIFICALLY for people of our generation who don't mind a silly movie like this.

It all makes sense now.
Your generation.

I knew all that Barney had to have some effect on you later.
299  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Matricians: Show Yourselves! on: 28 July 2010, 19:05:37
OK, then I can easily explain what X7's story is like.
Imagine X8, only more boring, and written by fan girls with multiple OC's and self-insertions.
300  MegaMan Series / Miscellaneous MegaMan Games / Re: MegaMan Universe on: 28 July 2010, 19:01:19
I agree with Rez on this one (BIG SURPRISE), but with one minor addendum.

That is one of the ugliest kids in history. That's almost all I remember besides the random Capcom characters flying around.
