Unless things drastically changed after the first game, then actually, it is turn based. Every turn you select chips to use. In that turn you may use them and mash the fire button like a madman.
That bit might be confusing you about real time, but the fact of the matter is that you get turns and breaks in the action to decide on a simple strategy for your next turn of action.
Thus, turn-based. In real time there is no time to think and make a sammich.

First Nations would make sense if they said "First Nations of the Americas", which probably isn't right either since the Southern American cultures were around long before, so jam in a North and it's alright.
But really. Algonquian. At the very least that's where the word originates. Virginia area, too.

Dead Rising is a game in which the player runs around killing zombies. There are lots of weapons and vehicles, but you're basically just playing a brawler type of game.
Yeah. That's original.

Nice MIDIs. I'm not sure if I'm getting the right effect, though, since I'm using the standard Microsoft MIDI device in Winamp. Any suggestions for an output device to listen to them?
Regardless, it all sounds good. Never heard the Epyon theme before, but it sounds great to me.

On double-click you get a word (tokenized by spaces, tabs, CR, LF, and punctuation). There's no option in the right click menu to "go to URL", but there is a copy operation and you can just jam it in the bar. But I get the feeling that you're too lazy to do that.
There's more than likely an addon that mimics the Opera operation, because most of the cool stuff for Firefox is addon-based, but it doesn't seem like a necessary thing to me. Nor does "page zooming".

It keeps most things, but I lost a couple skins and useless addons (although strangely enough a certain addon stayed and IMPROVED).
Bookmarks are all there though. I'm using the development version (which I downloaded yesterday, so it should pretty much be the final version).
It supports animated PNG files. They look deliciously beautiful, because you can now have smooth, crisp animations with 8-channel alpha blending without jamming a flash file on the page.
The decimals state how major a modification was. Firefox 2 never went through much change; most of it was topical data. THe jump to 3 was made because the program was re-optimized and re-constructed to provide better performance while using less memory. And it does, too.
Strangely enough, when you click and drag on things, it will show a shadowed version of the item under your cursor while you drag it (very similar to how Vista does this, although I'm using XP right now). There are a few other changes, but I'm not sure what they are.
It's the same old Firefox, it just runs slightly better.

The game doesn't actually exist. If you're not playing it, you can't win. If you are playing it, you immediately lose, and therefore the game is over and you aren't playing any more.
All games must have a winning condition; this is a prerequisite of being a game in the first place. As we have seen in the plausible scenarios above, there is no winning condition; in fact, there is no winning condition stated in the rules, either. Thus, this thing collectively referred to as "the game" is not actually a game at all because it fails to meet the definition of a game.
So I ask you. Just what is it that you're doing?

Getting used to a new avatar for people is always a little confusing.
It's the reason why reading Abe's posts gets a little confusing for me. Despite the same colors, at some times it'll be Mega Man, and then other times it'll be a horrific screaming emo kid or something.
I'm one to talk, though. I usually change my avatar more times a month than any sane person should. I'm already tired of this one, which I only picked to have something mildly MM related for a while.

Meme? It's a linguistic/philosophical concept.
The usage online is a nasty corruption of the actual term, which simply is the notion of representing speech and ideas as genetic information... ... successful ideas reproduce and spread, unsuccessful ones slowly die out (or quickly).
Viral marketing is based on this concept, creating nastily catchy ideas that hijack or take free rides on established ideas to force their idea information into active use.
As used on the internet, the term "meme" only seems to refer to this highly viral idealogical content, e.g. "I'M IN UR BASE, KILLIN UR MANS", etc.
The word itself is a shortened form of mimeme, Greek for "something imitated", chosen to sound like "gene".
Anyway, you'll not get away from them. It's just cultural data, and every image, ever word spoken, written and typed... they're all memes.
I digress; with the exception of the bottom right, this picture is substantially awesome and totally not viral at all. mostly

Assuming the helmets can be removed, that's probably what it is. Some sort of advanced sensor system. Might enable them to scan the surrounding area within a few feet to provide the sort of recon we get from our third person perspective in the game.
But I like the idea of it being a headlamp.

I like sound dampening headphones, but I try not to buy expensive ones since I chew through cords like a madman.
Ear buds generally work well with me, but I have a pair now that fits well in the left. But the right slips out every now and then... so apparently my ears are uneven and I have a grossly large head. Thanks, genetics.
I'm far more fond of the standard sort of cushioned headphone, but the ear buds are more portable. Choose your battles wisely.
and don't chew on cords

Daggerfall really isn't as good as Morrowind would lead you to believe. The third game is several billion steps up from the first two (which are very similar in engine and design).
It is, however, nearly three times bigger.

It's Yaranaika or something like that. I've been watching House lately. Love that show.
In addition to that, some crap animu called "Shijou Saikyou no Deshi Kenichi". I have no idea why I'm watching it, just like I have no idea why I watched all of Zero no Tsukaima (although I hazard a guess it was the queen for that). It's a fightan show, though. For the most part.

That does happen a lot, actually. Square is always buying up names like "Chrono Break" and things like that to make you think they're still working on a Chrono-series game, when really they aren't. It's a pretty cruel joke, but the publicity still manages to catch people's attention.
It's a nasty scheme.

In Megaman 8, there's not really a cliffhanger. Things just sort of end happily, although it's not really clear where Wily is.
*eyes glaze over* Then Megaman X starts up for no real reason, and ends with X4, so no, not really much of a cliffhanger either.
Anyway, I haven't even played Advent, and probably won't, so unless ZX3 has something to do with Legends, count me out again. Actually. Wake me up when we get to Legends.
