I watched Iron Man on Monday. It was cool. But not super cool. Just cool.
Iron Man is like a maturized Megaman who's lost his taste for blue and anti-alchoholism.
I suggest you watch this.
Iron Man isn't anything like Megaman.

I had a near-death experience, wasn't as dramatic as yours.
I was riding my bike home, I was like 14 at the time, and, since it looked clear, I started across the street, and apparently the light down the road changed green, because all of the sudden-- Cars, #####ing everywhere. I weaved and dodged, and then I saw a bus coming, so I peddled faster, to beat it. The bus speeded up to beat me. Basically there was a curb in front ome and I knew if I bunny-hopped it, I'd be okay.
Then the moment of truth came, and I kinda realized that I don't know how to bunny-hop.
I saw the bus next to me, and everything went black.
The blackness, I remember, being aware of it, but not really having a sense of self.
I awoke, I guess, a few seconds later, on the curb, face down, my bike across my back, and hearing the bus honk it's horn as it drove away. Someone in a truck stopped to help me up.
The front tire was popped, completely. So I think i hit the the curb, with the front wheel, and flew forward, and the force sent my bike after me.
I was in a blank state as I walked home with my broken bike.

Actually that show was American-made, by Ruby Spears production.
In fact, this used to be on TV about... Give or take, fifteen years ago, and was a fairly entertaining show.
EDIT: In fact, that show had the best VA for Wily, period.

I wish Jarvis had been a man instead of a computer system.
Really, I didn't mind Jarvis as an AI, since, on the whole, he wasn't as important to Iron Man as say... Alfred is to Batman.

I saw Iron Man a few weeks back, and being a fan of the comic, I have to say... I loved it.
It had everything I wanted out of an origin movie... Except one thing.
What it had:
1. Witty, drinking, playboy Tony Stark. 2. Perfect casting 3. A very true to the source, albeit more contemporary, telling of the origin. 4. Tony Stark coming off as eccentric and brilliant, rather than just a cold Genius. 5. Pretty awesome pseudo-technology 6. Cool looking suits 7. Rhodey and hinting at War Machine 8. Tony actually drinking 9. Decent looking fight Scenes
What it lacked:
1. Well, not really lacked, so much as the fight between Iron Man and Iron Monger could have been longer.
So really, Iron Man was AWESOME.
Surprisingly, I'm REALLY looking forward to the new Hulk movie.
Edward Norton is one of my favorite actors, and co-wrote the movie.
From what I've seen, he seems to understand Hulk better.
Tim Roth as the Abomination ALSO looks pretty cool.
And they made it clear that this movie is a reboot, which I am HAPPY about, since the 2003 movie SUCKED. (Absorbing Man is his father, WHAT?)
Also, creators have made it clear that the fight scene at the end of the movie, between Hulk and the Abomination, is twenty minutes long.
There will also be a cameo by Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), in the vein of Sam Jackson as Nick Fury in the Iron Man movie.
Also, there's another Captain America Easter Egg, like in Iron Man (The shield is in one of the background shots), an it's the Super Soldier serum (or so they say).
Then after that, it's Hellboy II: the Golden Army, which, at first, I was weary of, since the first one wasn't very good, but after reading the comic (that was basically the opening sequence of the movie), and seeing trailers and footage of it, I'm optimistic.
And The Dark Knight looks so good. Batman Begins was really great, and this one doesn't look disappointing, and though at first Joker's look had me suspicious, I think he can be great.
And that Two Face picture on the previous page didn't hurt.
EDIT:
And for those that haven't heard, the Captain America movie in 2011 will indeed be set in World War II, which is #####ing awesome.

MM1: Built by Light, stolen by Wily MM2: Built by Wily MM3: Built by Wily; Shadow Man found by Wily and rebuilt, supposidly fell from space. MM4: Built by Cossack, blackmailed into working for Wily MM5: Built by Wily MM6: Built by various creators from around the world, stolen by Wily MM7: Built by Wily MM8: Built by Wily MM&B: Built by King under orders by Wily (though it's never said if King actually made them or if Wily did) The rest: doesn't matter, not canon.
That should clear it up for the most part.
In Megaman 8, a lot of those Masters were actually already built, doing more menial/educational tasks, and Wily stole and Upgraded them. Such as Clown Man was originally on a Science TV show, that went off the air. And Astro Man was used to teach/entertain kids at a Planetarium... I think. ... This is what I remember from the instruction booklet. Oh and Wily had stolen that big ass sword at some point, and built Sword Man to use it.

Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Orphan Works Bill
|
on: 12 April 2008, 08:11:50
|
http://mag.awn.com/?ltype=pageone&article_no=3605There's a lot of information that I urge those of you who are artists or photographers, and even those of you who aren't, to read this article.. But the basics are, if this bill goes through: - You will HAVE to register, and PAY, to own the copyright for your creation, if not it will be considered an orphaned work. Currently any work you create is yours, copyright and all, at creation, as YOU created it. - An orphaned work is basically anything an artist creates that, through neglect or time, loses it's copyright and becomes Public Domain (I THINK). - An Orphaned work can be used by ANYONE for profit, say a small fast food joint needs a mascot, a T-Shirt press needs a design, a large Art/Photo stock company wants to sell your image, etc. They can do that without paying you, the creator, if you do not pay to register for a copyright. - This bill is backed by Corbis and Getty Images. They are large stock photo and stock art companies. They sell art and photos inexpensively. - A similar bill is in the works in Europe. If you disagree with this new law, write to your legislator.

OD accidentally said "in out basement"
Mike said "you have an In & Out in your basement?"
Lunche said "I LIEK IN N OUT" I'm guessing he's talking about that drive through restaurant.
It was just one big typo joke.

When you play through SSE, you'll unlock every character except for Toon Link, Wolf, and Jigglypuff.
After you beat SSE, you can find the characters here:
Toon Link is in the forest, near the beginning, in a door floating above a platform.
Wolf is in the Ruins, in the second part of the stage, when you get on that platform, and avoid those spikes, it will be a floating door near the bottom.
Jiggly Puff is in the third part of the Swamp area, after you fight giant evil Diddy Kong, in a floating door, near the cannons that shoot you to more more cannons, etc.

Also "HEY THIS STAGE IS BIG, SO INSTEAD OF FIGHTING, I'M GOING TO RUN AWAY, AND THEN SPAM DOWN + B EVERY THREE SECONDS!".

In an effort to move a conversation before someone decides to lock the Dojo Update thread:
Yeah, but [stickers] really don't matter much. I got through SSE without using a single one.
I didn't really use them until that last level before the Final Boss (except for one experimental thing with one sticker). It was a bit of a large level and I didn't really want to see the continue screen multiple times, so I decided ##### it. And then I saw how easily I was knocking people around that I just kept them to save myself time, even though I realized I didn't need them at all to get through the level because of all the save points.
Anyway, I unlocked everyone now. Toon Link seems a little overpowered.
I didn't know Stickers DID anything.

Unlocked all the characters.
.Jump up when he's getting ready to throw projectiles, so he'll aim high when he shoots.
If anyone wants to know, jiggly Puff is in the Swamp, third part, after getting past the rising par, and fight evil Giant Diddy Kong.
She's in the floating door after the Hammer Bros. fight.

I finally found out how to get Jiggly. A friend told me today she's hidden in an SSE level, forgot which one, but I'll ask again later today.
Or you can beat Classic Mode with ten different characters. Toon Link is hidden in the forest, after you beat SSE. It's a little ways in, and there's a plat form with a door floating above it. Wolf is in the Ruins level, when you go down that platform, avoiuding the spikes, near the bottom to the left, is a floating door, enter it, and you'll fight Wolf.
