I liked Atomic Fire... MegaMan Network... not so much, but its where I get my stuff now... don't like the boards much.
Atomic Fire had so much more class and style than MMN. The forums at MMN are awful. But as MegaMan is all but dead, it really doesn't matter. Matrix's forums are the last bastion of what used to be a quality Mega Man community.

I ignore Axl and it was better than X6 in all ways.
Music was below par in X8. Stage design was absolutely horrible in X8. Every stage was so themed it detracted from the platforming action and further more each stage was also poorly implemented. Subbing a #####ing store for heart and sub tanks was complete bull#####. Life and continue system was terrible. Switching in level between characters still doesn't work, just like it didn't in X7. The ONLY positive thing you can give X8 is the slot system for X's armor, and even then the armor is the worst looking thing outside of MMZ or the over the top absurdly retarded Command Mission armors. I won't even get into the absolutely crap new art style for it. X8 was not a great game. It doesn't come close to the pre X7 games. Even the poorer ones. X8 was not a "step in the right direction", it was only an improvement from X7, and frankly, after that festering pile of disease it wouldn't be hard to do better. I'll gladly acknowledge that X5 and X6 were not good games. But to say X8 was better? I think not. Flawed as they were, X5 and X6 kept the basics of the series at least. Choose X OR Zero (even if X6 let you change between stages), Hidden Heart tanks, Hidden Sub Tanks, Armor Parts (Again, not instant use, but that's one of the flaws) and generally action based stages. Also, I'll point out 3D just does not look as sharp as sprites. The game just didn't LOOK as good.

Just get the Super Famicon cartridge. All you have to do is cut out the pegs in the SNES's cartridge slot and it goes in just fine. That's what I did.

I'd play ANY of the 3D Mega Man games over any MMZ/ZX game. And the GBA port of Rockman and Forte is awful. The conversion to the smaller screen size made the later stage boss battles impossible.

X8 was a great game, and it's not that old, so clearly there's still room for a proper MM game.
You've been drinking again. X8 isn't even as good as X5 or X6 gameplay or stage design wise (and X5 and X6 weren't the best in the series either). And in art direction and Axl is gets double F's. No, X8 was not a "great game". It was decent at BEST, but much closer to mediocre. Could they take what they did with X8 and make it BETTER? Possibly. But they won't.

Model H is awesome, I swear. His get-up was nicely designed
Are you high? The models are 95% carbon copies of the MMZ characters they emulate. And those designs are themselves total ass. I won't even dignify the "usefulness" comment as X and Zero from MMX both play more solid than any single model in ZX or Zero from MMZ does.

Sounds like ass to me. All that "Live" and "PSN" ##### is just that. ##### digital copies. I want a disc in a sweet case. Otherwise there's no reason to not just #####ing pirate it. Things are bad enough as is. Though at least at some point I'll probably have a PS3 so if they do new remakes I'll still get to play them. I'll quit playing video games before I ever buy a 360.

Ah, see, there lies your problem. You were playing Mega Man Zero. I can see how you'd make that mistake though, what with the X series being all kinds of win it's easy to think that "this series that stars Zero must be pretty boss too!". Rest assured though, it's a mistake people only make ONCE.

In Megaman 8, a lot of those Masters were actually already built, doing more menial/educational tasks, and Wily stole and Upgraded them.
Such as Clown Man was originally on a Science TV show, that went off the air.
And Astro Man was used to teach/entertain kids at a Planetarium... I think.
... This is what I remember from the instruction booklet.
Oh and Wily had stolen that big ass sword at some point, and built Sword Man to use it.
That's a bit more than a simple upgrade. He only used those as parts to start them. He still built them all.

Probably sat in a corner sobbing because he's SUPPOSE to be some bad ass ultimate real version of Zero but looks just as much like an AIDS infested 10 year old who hasn't eaten for a fortnight every bit as laughably lame as the "Real" "Zero" in MMZ. That's my guess.

Uh... BN 4 is the WORST of the last 3 you know.
But we all know Battle Network had 3 games, Classic had 8, X had 4 and one RPG and Legends had 3 game AND THAT'S ALL THE MEGAMAN GAMES THEY EVER MADE.

I don't see why all the robot masters couldn't be played by actors. Much like Light's body type and santa beard was modified for the actor, body type isn't that different. Cut Man is just like Ice Man, Fire Man and Elec Man aside from having scissors on his head. Bomb Man is just rounder, cast someone a little... chubby! Guts Man could be played by a larger bulky guy. My point is I don't think it would look any sillier than anything else thus far.
The thing that bothers me most about the CG Cutman is that he looks SUBSTANCIALLY different from what I presume the human Robot Master actors will look like, and there shouldn't be THAT level of difference.

Oh, you'll love it 'till the very end.
And then you'll play the second one, and hate it.
And then love the very end.
Then hate the third one.
And then stop playing because I got too bored of it.
:: beats with tomatoe stick :: FOOL! 1 is godly, 2 is still good (I love case 2-3 myself) and 3 is fantastic (not quite 1 good though). 4 is... ok, but 5 needs to fix all the issues it had or the series will be in trouble.

MM1: Built by Light, stolen by Wily MM2: Built by Wily MM3: Built by Wily; Shadow Man found by Wily and rebuilt, supposidly fell from space. MM4: Built by Cossack, blackmailed into working for Wily MM5: Built by Wily MM6: Built by various creators from around the world, stolen by Wily MM7: Built by Wily MM8: Built by Wily MM&B: Built by King under orders by Wily (though it's never said if King actually made them or if Wily did) The rest: doesn't matter, not canon.
That should clear it up for the most part.

Axl serves no purpose gameplay wise. X is long distance, Zero is melee. Axl is just a slightly different flavor of long distance which doesn't justify putting him in. The copy ability is the ONLY thing you could even start to argue brings something new to the table, and due to a number of reasons makes it impossible to construct stages with multiple shapes and sizes for that. You also run into the same problems ZX has. The morphing gimmick/angle is best kept for an entirely different game/series as it just doesn't fit into X.

Having played the Japanese DS FF4 through to the point you get Tellah, I can say it's a mindblowing remake. The music is upgraded but so faithful it sounds perfect. I love the new style for the in game stuff. There was a good deal of spoken dialog and the opening movie will make you cream your pants. THIS is a game from the era when Final Fantasy was an A++ series.
I can't wait for the domestic release. It's definitely a must have if you're an RPG fan. And if you think you're a Final Fantasy fan, pick this up so you can see what the series was really like before it went to complete #####.

Even though I haven't played this series yet- I hope they won't overload the series with protagonists. A good series actually should only have maybe one or two protagonists, several sub-characters, and a few antagonists.
You make the assumption ZX was a good series to begin with... The main reason why I personally hated X7 was because Axl stepped in as a protagonist
Axl could have been left out of X7 and it still would have been garbage. Axl being the main character was only the diarrhea frosting on top of a ##### cake.
