I agree with Rez on this one (BIG SURPRISE), but with one minor addendum.
That is one of the ugliest kids in history. That's almost all I remember besides the random Capcom characters flying around.
You know defying me means a trip to the mauling tent.

And we actually have quite a bit more info: there's a lot of hints of Capcom crossovers happening, leading me to think you'll get to do a lot of character customization from not only your own imagination but from other Capcom series as well. Honestly, I think this has the potential to be very cool.
Your speculation about what ##### in the trailer might mean are not facts. The trailer itself gave us ZERO facts about what kind of game it is. But Rez hates everything.

Way to shoot at least half of their possible target audience in the foot. It looks like MHX and MMPU all over again.
And where does that trailer confirm it's a 2D game? I don't recall that. I don't recall ANY #####ing info about what kind of game it is in it.
After that trailer we have exactly the same amount of info on the type of game it is as we did before, NONE.

Unfortunately, but truly I don't think megaman will be in it. :'( It shows no hints that he or any of the megaman characters will be in it. I think Capcom is starting to let megaman go. I really hope not though.
... could you sound any more stupid? Mega Man is one of Capcom's flagship series. He or someone from one of the games will be in it. And they've not "hinted" or released a good majority of the cast yet. Stop #####ting your pants because he hasn't been announced yet.

The cutting was pretty cool, yes, but on the people it was a bit TOO realistic and gory for me, I actually winced a bit. That's the problem you run into when you get graphics that start to approach this level of "realism".

Metroid Prime 1-3 are great games.
However they are not great Metroid games.
That's a fair statement. I only bash them when they're touted as being some definitive textbook case on how perfect a 3D Metroid they are, when they are as far from that as one can get.

I can't tell what I think about Metroid: Other M. I'm excited for it, but... something just doesn't feel right. Especially when taking into account all the voice-acting and cutscenes in the older trailers, I'm very apprehensive about this. I loved the Prime games and I'm firmly in the camp that those are the best a 3D Metroid could have been. We'll see, though. I really want this game to be great.
Other M looks as close to a 3D Metroid game as you can make and still have it actually be a Metroid game. If you though the FPS bull##### Prime games were really "the best a 3D Metroid could have been" then I don't know how to finish this sentence without calling your mother a whore. After this E3 I'm firmly optimistic on Other M.

Sony's show wasn't AWFUL, but it wasn't great. It was all 3D GAMING 3D GAMING 3D GAMING. They didn't spend nearly as much time pushing Move as I thought they would. They had 2 or 3 games that looked good to me (outside of the FPS bull#####). I though Sorcery looked interesting if not generic. Twisted Metal looked good. In truth though, I thought their PSP lineup blew the PS3 lineup out of the water, and I'm not a big PSP fan.
But in the end, Sony's show looked like Nintendo's compared to Microsoft's. And Nintendo utterly DESTROYED both Sony and Microsoft. While they were busy desperately trying to do the "casual waggle" stuff that Nintendo already did, did well, and blew them away with, Nintendo dropped nothing but core game titles with narely a hint of casual and made sport of them.
Wow. What an E3. Can't wait for the last of the developer announcements.

My god Nintendo murdered... I can't believe how solid their show was.
Metroid Other M is what we should have gotten instead of that Prime FPS #####. This is looking solid as ##### and day 1 buy.
3DS looks simply amazing so far. I am a little worried about how it will hold with the analog stick and Dpad like that but I guess we'll see.
The rest was an amazing line up of solid games. Real solid. Save for maybe Mario, er Wii Party. But still, the amount of core gamer material they had up was shocking.
Plus all the 3rd party stuff for 3DS, Metal Gear? Resident Evil? I have some high hopes here.
I really can't think of ANYTHING Sony can do to top it. Hopefully their conference isn't all Move focused like Microsoft's was Kinnect.

The soundtrack sucks.
There are VERY few good pieces of music in the Zero series. Now, from a TECHNICAL standpoint I am actually impressed how much nicer the music sounds being rendered on the DS's sound chip. It's a lot like the Phoenix Wright games when you compare the sound quality between the GBA and DS versions. I really wish they'd go back and do that with the two GBA Castleroids.

Well, if it's not an MMO, that's already making me slightly interested.
But only slightly. 3D is meh.
... It's still a MMORPG. I have no idea how they intend to make it work in a 2.5D "Action RPG" style though. This whole thing sounds like an awful, AWFUL train wreck. The kind you could only get away with doing in Korea.

I wasn't getting it, but I will chime in that not letting you map buttons is horse #####. Especially since the DS has the same button layout the SNES had, which is what the X games were birthed on. If you can't set B to jump and Y to shoot when the option is there, what's the #####ing point? Its like giving you a car and saying you have to drive with your butt. Using A and B or X and Y is akward as ##### in the diamond DS/SNES/PS button configuration (and made playing the GBA Castleroids damn near impossible on the DS).

Actually Abominator met a lovely glasgow girl and he just hasn't had the time to get the site back together. He's also busy working on his second great love, the Bionic Commando Matrix. The rest of his free time has been eaten up by Duke Nukem Forever. Once he finishes it I'm sure we'll see things go back up.

Sub Man sounds like something out of a porn... But yeah. Dive Man was already taken. And I just didn't think Tide Man sounded as good.
I actually thought Cactus Man looked the MOST like an actual Robot Master myself.
Sound Man had Soundwave channeled though him by both JS and I, the end result being him being a bit more Soundwaveish than I had actually intended, but I still like him. He has a backwards hat, shades and a big Bling "W" necklace. How can you not like that?
Eventually I'll put up the weapon gets.

I was not a big fan of Eccleston, no. But to be fair, like Colin Baker, I think Eccleston had some ##### writing and he was saddled with the #####ing "I'm emo because I'm the last time lord" and "my companion is my girlfriend now" bull##### RTD brought in. No game, sorry, but I think we can all agree these are pretty decent robot masters. My personal favorites are Punch Man and Cactus Man. I did the designs and JS did the drawings from that (he is a much MUCH better drawerer than me).
Enjoy.

I really just don't get the appeal of MMORPGs. I don't want to play Feces Gorilla and run around tossing turd bombs at everyone. I want to play X. Or Zero. In 2D. Nice challenging platforming.
This is why we can't have nice things. Though I think of all the Mega Man franchises that would work well as one, X or Battle Network would be best. X offers more options than Classic and Battle Network is MUCH less restricted than Star Force by virtue of the nature of Net Navies vs FMians or whatever the hell they're called. You could do Legends, but it's just doesn't offer as many options or potential as X or BN.
Though I really have no practical interest in it at all, just academic.
Edit - And yes, like Abe, I'm out at this point if it is indeed a MMO game.
