1953  MegaMan Series / Legends Series / Re: MegaMan Legends 3 a Possibility? on: 1 October 2010, 14:23:45
Legends is suppose to be SO far in the future it would be absolutely ridiculous to even TRY to even casually mention anything on past series.  The "connections" to Legends from the rest of the games should stay from their end, pointing to Legends (utter stupidity in my opinion) and Legends "obviously" a result but being so far ahead of everything never EVER mentioning past series.

I get what Morgan is saying.  But even Capcom wouldn't be so subtle to do it that way.  They WOULD put in ACTUAL biometals, cyber elfs or Wily's skull just to be ham fisted.

Legends has such a beautiful feel and direction that I really don't want to see it screwed with just to have some forced "series time line" or other bull##### that ruined X and spawned Zero/ZX.

Sadly, at this point all we can do is speculate as to what will happen, but I think we all can agree Capcom can do a LOT of different things to screw this game up, and 10 years worth of expectations don't help.

1955  MegaMan Series / Legends Series / Re: MegaMan Legends 3 a Possibility? on: 30 September 2010, 14:28:35
Do you think they'll port over Legends 1 and 2 to the 3DS as well?

That would be quite a treat.

Also, I would like to something referenced from either Classic, X, Zero, or ZX.

I always thought it was weird that no one ever mentioned Classic Megaman in the X series. He was a champion of the people, and the time gap is only 100 years or so.

No.  Nothing outside of easter eggs like the "Mega Man Tv show" on the TV in 2 or the posters and what not on the wall.  If there is ANY direct connection in the actual plot there will be quite a few unhappy people.  Just imagine, once Trigger gets back to Earth he has to fight his way deep into the ground to the core of the old master system which is really BIOMETAL ZX AXL OMG!!!! AND HE'S PROTECTED BY CYBER ELFS ROFFLES!!!  Yeah.  That's the kind of ##### I'M afraid they'll pull.  And quite frankly, Zero/ZX was such trash from the plot stand point that trying to actively include it or even REFERENCE it would be the antithesis of the fun and charming world/scenario Legends pionerred (notice how bad Battle Network got when it moved away from the same feel and tried to go all "evil energy" ##### in the last 3 games?).
1956  MegaMan Series / Legends Series / Re: IT'S REAL! LEGENDS 3 COMING TO NINTENDO 3DS! on: 29 September 2010, 20:14:15
That large gap in time has created a huge and varied set of expectations from fans.  I don't see how one segment won't be disappointed in the end.

To be honest the biggest thing I'm worried about is spending the entire game finding out the back story to Legends is just MMZ/ZX, which I really don't see any way of avoiding since Zero/ZX were MADE just to do that.  And that wouldn't bother me if they hadn't been utter garbage.

I await more information about Legends 3 with both excitement and horror!

1960  MegaMan Series / Legends Series / Re: MegaMan Legends 3 a Possibility? on: 29 September 2010, 15:56:42
Like I said, I AM happy they announced it, but will it suck?  I assume it will until I'm proven wrong.  The less Zero/ZX garbage in the game, the better it will be, and ideally there would be ZERO (ha!) references to other series outside of the tounge and cheek "cameos" like 1 and 2 had.

But I swear to GOD if reverbots are explained to be cyber elf corpses or some other similar bull##### I will fly to Japan by tying balloons to my arms if need be and light a bag of my own excrement on Inafune's porch.

Also, I kind of like the new logo.

We're having another one next year if you'd like to come.
1962  MegaMan Series / Legends Series / Re: MegaMan Legends 3 a Possibility? on: 29 September 2010, 14:45:24
Well, now we begin the wait to see if it can possibly satisfy.  I am both joyed and disappointed by this news.  First bit of info about it?  POSSIBLE multi player?  Really?  Jesus Christ.  This is NOT a good sign.

My general philosophy since MMZ and ZX came out has been Legends 3 will probably be shoehorned full of ##### from those games and their "grand" continuity, thus ruining that magic Legends had.  I believe that this game will be bad, but deep down hope that I am proven wrong.

It does have one good thing going for it so far though, it's on a Nintendo system, and the DS successor at that.  I just PRAY we get Tiesel's original Voice Actor back though if it ends up being good.

Not a good time to be computerless, that's for sure.

Like you should be worried about the quality of ANY MM game.

Remember when that wasn't the case?  Oh how I miss those days...
1965  MegaMan Series / Legends Series / Re: GENERAL LEGENDS SERIES ENQUIRIES on: 22 September 2010, 18:41:48
At this point there are so many expectations the game can't possibly make anyone happy if it's ever made at all.

Personally, I can't believe the game WON'T be stuffed full of Zero/ZX series ##### like cyber elfs, biometals and OMG ZERO.  As someone who was really into the back story of the Legends world (emphasis on WAS) to see the garbage from such awful series as Zero/ZX made that foundation holds absolutely no interest for me, and the fact it will no doubt be ham handedly fist fed to us to make bloody sure we get "IT'S ALL ABOUT THE CYBER ELFS" further poisons the pool for me.

We'll never get the Legends 3 we would have got if it had been made in a timely fashion, and at this point I honestly can't say I want whatever it is that they'll ##### out.  IF they ##### it out at all.  Which I doubt they ever will.

If you're Dash fan, you'll be happy soon. RT @OKeijiDragon @PG_kamiya Are you a Rockman DASH fan? I saw "ロックマンDASH" on one of your tweets

It's like it's really 2002 again! Or 2005!  Or 2007  Or 2009!  Or any other time it's been "hinted" at that Legends 3 might maybe someday in the not so distant future we may live to one day see not so far from now maybe come out.

But let's assume it DOES happen.  I sure can't wait for all those cyber elfs and biometals to come out of the ruins!  By golly gosh that would be neat-o!

I have ZERO faith (ha ha) Legends 3 will resemble anything like the series and not be shoehorned full of Zero/ZX refrences/cameos with the plot being carjacked to focus on those games and the cancer they brought to X and Classic.

Edit button is timing out... odd.

Anyway I should add I doubt we'll actually see a new game, and if we DO get ready to be force fed a ton of MMZ/ZX refrences/plot points to "tie it all together".

No thanks Capcom.
1968  MegaMan Series / Miscellaneous MegaMan Games / Re: Marvel Vs Capcom 3 on: 16 September 2010, 16:00:58
Wow.  X-23 is such a wasted spot.  Though I guess if they were going to put in a Wolverine Clone that's better than "Bone Claw" Wolverine and Normal Wolverine being two separate slots.  But not by much.

I also found it odd one trailer had Tron speaking Japanese and one with her speaking English.
1969  MegaMan Series / Miscellaneous MegaMan Games / Re: Mega Man Universe on: 16 September 2010, 14:36:57
Hard to tell, but the level editor does seem better than PU from what I could see.  Though it still doesn't give enough info to address my major problems with PU's stage editor.

I do however, LOVE the remixes so far.  Much MUCH better than PU's so far.

1972  MegaMan Series / Miscellaneous MegaMan Games / Re: Mega Man Universe on: 10 September 2010, 14:32:48
Powered Up's level editor was AWFUL in how limited it was.  If this doesn't let you have more options on which enemies you can pick for the stage (no one "pack" ever had the right mix of what I wanted), freedom with which boss (or bosses) you can pick, how/where to put the boss rooms and drops/death for pits right above another row then the level editor isn't worth two #####s.

The character "designer" is just a frankenstein lego Mega Man mash up.  Metal Man with Mega Man's head I MADE A UNIQUE ROBOT MASTER NAMED CHOP MAN DO NOT STEEL!  Pathetic.

If all MMU is is the level editor from Powered Up, this is a pretty #####ty game.

And in closing, I hate Roll's design, but will prepare for the enevitable influx of new H from it.  God, the ##### I put up with.
1973  MegaMan Series / Miscellaneous MegaMan Games / Re: Marvel Vs Capcom 3 on: 10 September 2010, 14:19:15
Wonder if she'll be the only Mega Man character or if we'll see Trigger, Zero, Roll or Rock.

I'm still waiting for Strider to be confirmed though.  He's a MvC staple.
1974  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: What game are you playing? on: 9 September 2010, 14:33:32
Playing through that right now, generally liking it.  One or two serious issues aside, it's not a bad Metroid game in 3D.  No where near as good as the 2D games, but much, MUCH better than any of the Primes even with the few serious problems I have with Other M.

Plot is no worse than Fusion (I'd argue it's better myself) and I quite frankly don't see why people are pissing thier pants over it.

1979  MegaMan Series / Miscellaneous MegaMan Games / Re: Mega Man Universe on: 3 September 2010, 14:30:04
It's pretty much Powered Up mixed with Little Big Planet and horrid 2D/3D sprite/model mixing and awful character design.

I won't lie, I'm really NOT impressed.  Sure it looks like it might be kind of fun, and it looks like it fixes a lot of problems I had with Powered Up as far as physics and gameplay, but I can't say I'm really excited about this at all.
1980  MegaMan Series / Zero Series / Re: Zero Collection coming out on DS on: 2 September 2010, 14:22:57
I think it's better than Zero because it's at least fun enough that you want to beat it, and there really isn't much about it that's annoying.  I never wanted to play ZXA though.

Did... you actually PLAY it?  You have to change forms ALL THE #####ING TIME.  Just do get across gaps, climb a wall or even #####ing TALK TO PEOPLE.  Other than that it has a lot of the same problems Zero did as far as stage design.  ZXA is even worse as they doubled the number of forms.  and Axl.

X8 was awesome.

But Haters gonna hate I guess.

"Hater" is not the right word for someone who merely chooses to reserve the word "awesome" for things that are LITERALLY awesome.

Awesome is a very common overstatement.

Ouch.  But yeah, that's the truth.  X8 was not anywhere near awesome.  If I'm being generous, I'd say it was very mediocre.
1993  MegaMan Series / Miscellaneous MegaMan Games / Re: MegaMan Universe on: 27 August 2010, 17:35:11
The number of continuity errors in that trailer are absurd.  I've not seen where it was stated by anyone official that this is suppose to be a bridge game.  The afore mentioned continuity errors would seem to back up that it is not a bridge game.  We've also still seen NOTHING of the actual gameplay, but as it's an MMORPG it's going to be ##### anyway.

That being said, I loved the animation itself.  I think it'd work better as an OVA or something.  It's obviously far too good for what it's being used for.
1994  MegaMan Series / Miscellaneous MegaMan Games / Re: MegaMan vs Street Figther on: 27 August 2010, 17:29:24
I will say I did think the stage design was pretty good, especially Yoga Man's maze stage.
