I had a #####ed up night.
I got pissed at my mom and essentially ripped up all my graduation checks (about $400 worth) and then stormed out of the house at around 11PM, wearing nothing but jeans and a t-shirt. I just started walking and kept going. I walked about 2 hours across town, stopping at tons of places just to admire what it's like at night. Life is so different at night. I found one beautiful spot where there were literally hundreds of fireflies and you could just sit on the hill and stare at them and the open star-filled sky.
Around 5AM, I got back to my neighborhood. I ran my normal jogging path but then I took a turn into my friend's neighborhood and threw pebbles at her windows trying to get her to give me a blanket, but she obviously didn't hear me. It was so #####ing cold out, but it was exhilarating.
Eventually I laid down in an open field and stared at the stars until I fell asleep, and it wasn't too buggy. It was cold, though. I woke up around 9 and walked home shortly after. My mom was pissed.
I slept for less than an hour in my own bed, which was like, almost heaven due to how comfortable it was, but less exciting than the rest of the adventure.
So now I'm about $400 shorter and 100% more worldly. Definitely worth it. Everyone needs some alone time like that.

Yeah, around here, games usually arrive at stores on the shipping day, but I've both been places where they're available the next day and heard complaints of people living elsewhere where that happens.
I had both Metroid Prime 3 and Super Mario Galaxy a day before a lot of people I talked to online.

For the last 8 days, I have worn nothing but green shirts. Even today I am wearing a green shirt. I do this every once in a while as a joke. Sort of like, I can feel like a cartoon character who has only one outfit but a whole closet full of it. Except anything green goes.
So, when the laundry was done, this pile was sort of funny to look at.

While the fireworks were going off, we were talking about how many people probably died during, because gunshots sound exactly like the fireworks and it would be easier to get away with some murders right then.
We were also speculating on how Godzilla or the Cloverfield monster would pop up BEHIND us as the fireworks distracted.

Yeah, it's pouring rain here, too. I've got a massive grad party today. That rich friend I'm always talking about. He rented out a building in Detroit. Happy, Mike? I'm actually going to Detroit today, so save up some jokes for me. Posted on: 23 June 2008, 20:45:18
Partied for 6 hours straight last night. My friend rented out the roof of a Mariott Hotel in Detroit, and we got to watch the fireworks from the best view imaginable. Pretty much everyone worth talking to in our school was there, and it was literally just awesome.

Apparently it's only being released in a few states first, and then if it sells well they'll expand the release. I'm still not sure a movie is a great idea anyway, but I'm going to watch it regardless. Same goes for Arrested Development.

He probably died laughing his ass off, laughing that it had finally happened, probably died with his middle finger raised in one final act of defiance.
He at least had that cocky grin on his face, I promise you that.

Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / George Carlin has died. And Now Bernie Mac. And Isaac Hayes.

As a massive fan of stand-up comedy, I'm very saddened to hear this. George Carlin was one of my favorites, and today, June 22nd, he passed away due to heart failure. You were a great inspiration to me, and you made a huge impact on the world of comedy. Definitely one of my favorites. Sucks, man. You came a real #####ing long way. Rest in peace, George. And here's a gift for those who haven't witnessed his comedy. Take some time to watch, if only out of respect.EDIT:And now, today, on August 9th, another comedian has died. Say goodbye to Bernie Mac. Dead at the age of 50. Holy shmoley. EDIT2:And now, today, on August 10th, another celebrity has died. Say goodbye this time to Isaac Hayes, famous musician and best-known to us younger folks as the voice of Chef on South Park. He was 65. Ugh. Link.

Zenon was #####ing awesome, so you're not alone Mike. So was Smart House. Posted on: 22 June 2008, 15:01:51
I just finished Dead Like Me. I'd like to point out one major accomplishment of this show: when I first saw Delores, I hated her. I hated her character. By the end of the show... I liked her a lot. I don't really know how they did it. She was a static character, and she didn't really change at all, but somehow I grew to like her. It's very weird. Also, I watched the trailer for the movie. What the #####. I don't really know what to say. Reggie looks too old, Daisy's new actress looks like she only knows how to overact, and Rube's absence saddens me, although I do like... uh, Desmond. I dunno. We'll see.

AGREED BUT NOW I'M LEAVING SO BYE Posted on: 21 June 2008, 12:21:41
Three #####ing grad parties today. It was hard to split up the whole day, but I spent most of my time at one of them, he's like one of my closest friends so I sort of had to. But I like both the other kids so I spent a couple hours at both of theirs, too. Busy day. I'm wiped.

I always get bitten first when zombies are involved. Also, having about 20 minutes of sleep every 4 hours helps you feel as energized as having 8 hours of sleep. I'd do that if you're sleep schedule is going to be messed with.
Shut up, Kramer.

"Dungeon" is another big one.
"Restaurant" is another one for me, just because I always used to spell it wrong when I was younger. It was like the only word I had trouble with.

Hehe, I didn't even tune in long enough to figure out what the target audience was. Good news, today. I sold my second Gamecube to a friend of mine about 4 months ago, for $40 (with a controller, game, and memory card.) She FINALLY paid me back today. Almost immediately afterward, we all were at Best Buy because one friend was getting "a new TV for college" which is totally unnecessary, but hey. The point is, while we were waiting for him, I found Dead Like Me, Season 2. So, I spent the money I had just been given, and I've already watched the first disc. Episode 4, I think it was called The Shallow End, was probably the best episode in the entire series so far. The part with the guy who wanted a sex change cursing god in church was really emotional, and the stuff with George as a little girl getting pushed into the pool was poetic in a way. Great writing. Oh, and that scene (in I think the second episode of the season) where Roxy shoots Mason under the table was so #####ing funny I honestly thought I was gonna' cry. I like that actor, the guy who plays Mason. At least, he plays Mason well. Very likeable. Rube's actor is another obvious talent. Hell, the whole cast is great. Posted on: 22 June 2008, 01:51:45 Found the scene where Roxy shoots Mason.I urge anyone who hasn't seen the show to watch, because there's no real spoilers and it's a harmless viewing that will give you a taste for the show.

When I was younger I #####ed up a computer due to spyware and viruses. I was a computer whiz back then, but less of one now in comparison to the vast array of nerds the world has to offer. My point is, even with my all childlike bravado and computer-obsessive expertise, I was never able to excorsize the computer and it slowly slid into a state of... uselessness.
My dad tried to fix it, and he called tons of tech-repair people etcetera... and the only way they were able to fix it was to wipe the entire hard drive clean.
That worked.
Anyway, I've never had any real spyware since then, but if I ever get pop-ups, one smooth trick ALWAYS works.
System Restore.
I forgot how to get to it, but it's somewhere through Control Panel and other stuff. Google it. It'll restore your computer's settings to an earlier date. From my knowledge and experience, this only helps if you do it at the FIRST signs of spyware, like IMMEDIATELY. So, if your computer's been acting up for a while, I can't promise you anything. However, if it just started within the last few days, you have a chance. Figure out how to do a System Restore.
