Majoring in English is very different than being a young English teacher, anyway.
And Chaos, you can't seriously be faulting him for making a SINGLE typo when the rest of his post had nothing glaringly wrong with it. And the word was Capcom, for chrissake, not even a real word. And he'd already spelled it right earlier in the post, so it was clearly just a mere accidental typo.

Heh. It's complicated enough that my mom has tried to watch it over and over again from the beginning and still cannot for the life of her follow along past Season 1. She eventually gave up and now I just tease her with what's happening right now. She hates all that sci-fi stuff so she got out at the right time, haha.
ANYWAY.
I just wrapped up Season 3 of Dexter so I'm officially up to speed on that. What a GREAT show. I mean it, absolute television gold.
I'm almost done with Season 2 of Californication but I keep putting it off. I'll finish it soon enough.
I just started Breaking Bad. Bryan Cranston is fantastic. This show has a LOT of promise. I'm two episodes in and already know it's great. Definitely reccomend this. Apparently the second season just started so I'm gonna' try to catch up quickly.
I'm still slowly watching Friends in small bits of downtime.
Also, every few nights I give myself a large dose of Mr. Show. Love it.
I still haven't watched Series 2 of Big Train or the rest of Black Books, but I'll get around to it.
I'm also watching all of Futurama in order. I've been meaning to do it for a while now since I love the show but haven't seen too much of it overall.
I've had 30 Rock downloaded for a while so I'll start that soon.
Six Feet Under is in the mail, and Undeclared is almost done downloading, so I'll be adding those to the list.
I've also been meaning to run through all of Arrested Development again, but I'm gonna' put that off a little longer.
In addition to this, I'm still watching: - Scrubs on Tuesdays (when it returns) - Lost, Demetri Martin, and now South Park on Wednesdays - The Office and, after catching up, 30 Rock on Thursdays
If you're wondering how or why I watch so much... yeah, you have a point.
I almost always have a show playing these days whenever I have downtime, be it homework or just me chilling in my room. Right now Futurama's on beside this window as I type. I don't really fall asleep easily, so I just watch stuff until I get tired.

Yeah, your grammar and spelling are miles above most of the new members we get, and I wouldn't have thought twice if you hadn't pointed out that you were an English teacher. Something just seems a bit off, but like I said, 90% of the internet users of today don't type even an eighth as well as you so you're still ahead in the races.

It's still some full-frontal male nudity in an R-rated film, and that's definitely a LOT rarer than breasts. So, in a way, it's still valid because it's a private manbit being shown.

Yeah, I really don't get how casual viewers have any idea what's going on in the show. You have to be really devoted and really pay attention to catch everything, and lately it's not just to catch more subtle plot-points, it applies to the major current plot. It's really easy to miss things.

Well, during one of the time-jumps (with the kayaks when it was raining and people were shooting at them) they saw some supplies or water bottles or something with the Ajira Airlines logo on 'em. And I remember that jump being further in the future or something. I connected the dots and assumed that it was 2008 after the Ajira plane crashed.

There was definitely lesbian porn going on in the bottom-right screen Veidt was looking at.
LOOK FOR IT GUYS.
And for the kids, Marvin the Martian was in the top-left, completely on the opposite side of the screen.

I just feel bad for the people who haven't read it, because they're just missing out on a lot. It feels more like a supplement than a movie, and you feel sad because this is also the best we're ever gonna' get. But also glad that we got it in this form.
I mean, one of the old scripts apparently had it all taking place in modern times, like Dr. Manhatten went to Iraq and ##### like that. Considering that was a possibility, it just makes this movie all the better.

I enjoy Family Guy, but lately I've grown colder towards it. I'm starting to lighten to it again, though. I bought those a LONG time ago, though. Same with The Simpsons. By long time ago, I mean when only the first 6 Seasons of South Park were for sale on DVD. I remember that for some reason.
And the Seinfeld collection is just... it's REALLY nice. It's a great treat and you're a huge fan so don't feel bad getting it if you can, even though it's always on. It came in a giant fake refrigerator, too! With free magnets, like Fusilli Jerry! I'll take a picture of that sometime. I think I did before. Plus, the Coffee Table Book is great for quick skims and memories.

Somebody punch me the next time I start a post with "OH MY GOD AMAZING."
Because I have no idea why I thought it was THAT amazing. Still very cool, and makes me jealous that I'll probably never go to most of those places.

I've decided that the proper context for seeing Watchmen is to think of it as a bonus feature to the GN. Like, "here, watch all these highlights of the GN in live action!"

ALRIGHT GUYS. So, I was organizing my DVD's today. I organized all my TV-DVD's as well, and I decided to do photo-inventory again. Lined them all up. Together they're wider than my bed. Anyway, thought I'd show off again since it's grown considerably and I don't think I've taken photos on this scale before. All lined up for ya'. There's some stuff in there that doesn't REALLY belong with the TV DVD's, but I keep them with 'em anyway (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, the South Park movie) because they still fit in with some other stuff and are more important to me. On the list of TV DVD's to buy, alphabetically: - 30 Rock [S1-2] - Breaking Bad [S1] - Dead Like Me: Life After Death - Futurama [S1-4 + Movies] - Six Feet Under [S1-5] (in the mail) - Undeclared - How I Met Your Mother [S1-3] - and basically all future seasons of everything else I stopped collecting Family Guy and The Simpsons, though I may start up again later. Also, even though only Seasons 1, 2, 6, and 7 of Scrubs are there, I own all seven. It's just that the boxes of 3, 4, and 5 were destroyed, thankfully while the discs were out in one of my pouches. Oh, and I bought Season 1 of Dead Like Me used from Blockbuster so they're in weird cases.

I timed myself. I can run (see: crawl) through the local one (entrance to slide exit) in less than 15 seconds. The second place time was 40 seconds.
I'm just that good.

...I don't PLAY with them.
I just HAVE them there. Sitting on my desk. Next to that rainbow Downey picture.
Basically, I don't mind celebrating the things I really like. Nobody thinks action figures are lame unless you have an unhealthy amount of them, but like two or three on your desk (especially when you're the creative type and prone to obsessions) should never be a problem.

I actually like the running drawing the best. I really like the style, though. It's sort of like how I might draw him if I didn't always make him really really skinny.

Yeah, that AirMan statue looks fantastic. It's missing the fanblades! Gasp! How much would that have costed?
Once I move into my apartment next year, I'm going to get a few more action figures to scatter around my room, along with some framed movie posters. That'd be a nice one to have.
I have a handful of Retro-Rotos... MegaMan, ProtoMan, GutsMan, and ElecMan. I've also got Rush, but that's not a Retro-Roto... it blends fine with the rest, though, and looks like it belongs in that series.

That was like a "your mom" joke that I was supposed to make had it been warranted but you made it for me instead entirely unwarranted and now I'm just confused because Wind's avatar is green and it looks really good and I've never wanted him more.

As in, these are nifty and I probably wouldn't buy them unless I happened across one and it was within a $4-7 range like the others... but I'd really rather them just finish up the other line because I definitely prefer those.

I apparently look good in black, but I only own one black shirt and so help me if I'm wearing a non-green shirt in the first place.
Green clothing is definitely underrated. A lot of girls look REALLY good in green, but I think that's just a twisted fetish I've developed from my absurd love for the color.

Yeah,
the island's been jumping through time and such. Or, rather, the people ON the island. Or something. But that's all done with now. Kind of.
Some of the cast is in 1977 and some of 'em are in 2008. I have no idea how they're going to reunite.
I've done the Press Button/Recieve Bacon thing twice, but I've never noticed a three-panel one. I'm not one for graffiti but even the janitors probably didn't get mad. Posted on: 7 March 2009, 18:19:27
I have no idea what episode of Lost this is a screencap of or even if it's FROM Lost, but I saw this and laughed, and figured it's worth sharing even if there's really no reason anyone should be cross-referencing these two shows (I know that's not the right usage of the word.)

Statue stuff:
They saw the statue right before the final jump to Dharma times. It was really tall and facing the ocean so they only saw the back of it, and the trees were blocking the bottom of the statue, but it should be obvious that it was the full statue of that four-toed one Sayid saw forever ago. First time: Second time: Looks Egyptian. Anubis only has four toes, apparently, like a dog. We have no idea how far back in time they were when they saw it.
I've long wanted those label-stickers they sell on xkcd that say things like "SELF-DESTRUCT" or "ARMAGEDDON" or "TRANSFORM" or "EJECT" or "CHAOS/ORDER" so I could put them on random buttons in my car.
So awesome.
What I really mean is that I want to just make my own since it's stupid to buy something that simple to make. And what I REALLY mean is that I wish I wasn't so lazy that I still haven't made them.

...just watched Watchmen. I could go way into detail on this... but overall I really liked it. I mean, I really liked it. I'm impressed. They definitely cut a LOT of important stuff out, and you'll never get the full experience unless you read the book, but I totally feel that it did as much as it could have done as a film of such a detailed, complicated comic. I went with a large group of people, and only two of us had read it. Pretty much everybody we went with loved the movie, so that's good news. Both the other guy who had read it and I approved. My only complaint that there wasn't enough blue #####. I mean, after all the talk, I was expecting so much blue ##### and I had prepared myself for so much blue ##### and all I got was a little blue ##### (mind you it wasn't actually a little blue #####.)
