http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lkt5BB8JbwAI hate saying "old" or any of that #####, but really, where have you been? I know it was very recent, but people wouldn't shut up about this for a few days. I mean, obviously not on the scale of all these celebrity deaths or anything, but people were pretty vocal about it. Anyway, yeah. I don't really care either way. It's not going to change either franchise. At most it'll help. Marvel gets more money, Disney gets more property.

The reviews are pretty brutal, yeah. This is not a movie for critics, anyway. I haven't seen Death Race but have wanted to for a while. Peter Petrelli is a bollock.
Then you'll LOVE his cameo.

And keep in mind, I loooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooved Inglourious Basterds. And 500 Days of Summer, but they're both very different movies so I kind of let them sit together as favorites. Until now. Posted on: 6 September 2009, 23:47:21
Oh, and I forgot to tell you, John. Your boy Peter Petrelli has one of the funniest cameos ever.

I'd like to start off by saying that I know this next claim will likely make me sound like an idiot.
"Gamer" is my favorite movie of 2009 so far. More than "Inglourious Basterds," more than "500 Days of Summer." More than "Up" and "Watchmen" and "Star Trek."
It was amazing and I am in love. This movie transcends the already awesome premise of using death-row inmates as mind-controlled players in a video game called Slayers. It's funny because it's tongue-in-cheek, it's action-packed because these guys GET action, and Michael C. Hall is absolutely perfect as a villain. I mean, we're talking classic iconic performance here.
I was expecting to enjoy this movie first and foremost because Michael C. Hall is in it. Also, I like the director team of Nevaldine/Taylor, who gave me two Crank movies. Those were loads of fun and really great, but they were too ridiculous to really ever become endearing. They're just like the roller-coasters of movies. But Gamer has all those elements and manages to make it all respectable, fun, and above all else: cool. These guys have such a great style and after seeing Gamer they're definitely on my list of top directors. They've got this sense of ridiculously crazy movie-theater fun that nobody else has right now except maybe Quentin Tarantino.
Seriously, go see this movie.

Today I finished writing my movie!
It is called "Heavy Meta" and it is about college kids making a movie!
I am very proud of the script! It is very funny!
Hopefully I'll start filming soon. Renting out a theater on campus to show it at once we're done.

I don't think I've ever met someone in person that uses MSN. I mean, I probably have, but it has never come to my attention.
I use AIM because everyone I know uses AIM. If everyone I knew used MSN, I'd use MSN.
It's not about the software, it's about the software everyone's using.
I mean, maybe MSN is better, but then I'd only be able to talk to Canadians I guess?

I really want to see Gamer. I know, I know. Still, if I'm going to go see a mindless action movie, it's going to be one made by Nevaldine and Taylor. These guys gave me Crank and Crank 2, which reminded me of how much fun I could have watching movies. I don't care if Gamer takes itself more seriously than those films, I still trust them. Plus, it's got Michael C. Hall.
I'm just as interested in Extract, which has a fun cast and, more importantly, is the new Mike Judge movie. Might go see that on Monday on of them there date things everyone seems so keen about. You know, with girls and French kisses. Although admittedly there's usually just the one girl, and kissing is gross!

There's already been like a billion of those, and they're all awful. When someone sent me this, I assumed it was going to be another "Nein nein nein nein nein!" IB Hitler one, and passed. When he assured me it wasn't, I clicked and pleasantly enjoyed.

I just liked how you basically said "everybody either was doing this, doing that, joined the marines, or doing this other thing," like it was a really casual thing.
Not that joining the marines isn't casual or weird or anything. Just in this context.

I've been busy writing the screenplay (ha) for Heavy Meta, my new project. It's a movie I'm making with some friends, similar to Roomhates.
For comparison: the Roomhates episodes were about 10 pages each, so 50 pages total. I wrote the entire thing in about 3 days. Very little of it was genuinely funny, and it was mostly rushed just because I was excited to actually be doing it.
Now: I just finished writing the 54th page of Heavy Meta, and it's taken me most of the summer to get to this point. The story has been meticulously planned out and it's actually very funny and quality stuff. I'm really proud of this. There's still about 20 or so more pages, in my estimate, but I'm heading into the closing act now.
I plan to start filming in a couple weeks.
I'm probably not releasing this on Youtube, but I'll try to find a way to get you guys to watch it.
I'm also considering renting out a theater on campus later in the year to show it, in conjunction with a big stand-up comedy show.
