You don't even need the manual, just some common sense and a decent attention span. That little rock the game calls a live metal literally says "lady".

Super Metroid

/thread

This man speaks the truth. Any other Metroid game that comes into 2nd place would have to be a 2D platformer. Everything Prime is terrible.

Court is adjourned.

As is Prarie and Atlas I guess...throw in Pandora.
Ewwwwwwwwwww...

Sorry, but I prefer my women with a vagina.

Looks like that's not on the world filter anymore.

Grossssssssssssssssssseeeeeddddoooouuuuuuuuuuuuttttt.

Yeah, after you beat Atlas, you get her data.

And I was thinking she was a man, but apparently, Model A says "Transform into that Atlas lady!"

I was all like "What the HEEEEELLLLL..."

Yeah. Some were fine because they got me moving across the floor, like Pupril, Hurricaune, and Hivolt. Too many were just beyond easy though.
5163  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: I seriously fear Mega Man's future. on: 1 January 2008, 18:37:17
I'll have to play X7 to answer that, but I know the whole retarded "reploid rescue" bit isn't fun at all.

EDIT: Oh, that reminds me. I didn't really care for the metals, but what annoyed me is the navigator had to talk everytime you found a metal, like you didn't already know.

"Great! That's a rare metal! You can use it to make a new chip!"
"Yeah, you've said that like... 50 times already."
5164  MegaMan Series / ZX Series / Re: GENERAL ZX SERIES ENQUIRIES on: 1 January 2008, 18:35:32
I have to say the game was kinda hard at some parts.

The stages weren't overwhelming, and the boss battles were just right. I thought it was perfectly fine.

Hell, even the final boss was a bitch, which is actually what I want. Serpent in the first ZX was a cakewalk.
5165  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: I seriously fear Mega Man's future. on: 1 January 2008, 18:30:51
I thought it was OK. It's better than rescuing reploids who carry the upgrades you need and if they die "Oh well too bad, gone forever!"
5166  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: I seriously fear Mega Man's future. on: 1 January 2008, 18:16:12
Well, yeah. How X8's story was unimpressive and for the most part, the music is good.

As for the art, I know what you mean. Capcom did it so the game would look more new and fresh. Fresh like what? #####? I guess. The game itself when it comes to gameplay wasn't too shabby.

EDIT: Also, I like some the the Legends' music.

Not all of it mind you, just a few bits like the Bonne Battle themes and whatnot.
5167  MegaMan Series / StarForce Series / Re: Starforce 2 on: 1 January 2008, 18:07:35
Actually, I'd already assume the Battle System is improved. I'm definitely getting it so I can battle online.

... that's about it though. The original Starforce storyline was horrible. I doubt they can cook up a good one or keep me interested enough to play a Star Force 3.
5168  MegaMan Matrix / MMM General Forum / Re: I seriously fear Mega Man's future. on: 1 January 2008, 18:01:09
The music in X8 was good. The game was almost as good as X2 but it doesn't match X1 and X4. And ZX was decent as well. Maybe not extremely awesome, but there's a big gap if you compare it to X7.

I'd say Mega Man's worst bits were MMX5-7, MMZ1-4, and MMBN4-6.

Of course, I haven't played BN6 but you can also add Starforce to the list as well. The game itself was good, but most of it's negative points are because of the terrible story.

5171  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: What game are you playing? on: 1 January 2008, 05:48:39
I just beat Galaxy.

Well, I'm less disappointed now. Although the game's engine changed for what I believe for the worse, the game still gets challenging and presents some neat tricks. Even the final battle with Bowser was fun, even topping Sunshine (Since you actually get to... you know, beat the ##### out of him rather than the hot tub...)

I've yet to play all the stages and complete the game though.

5186  MegaMan Series / Miscellaneous MegaMan Games / Re: MegaMan Versus His Rivals on: 31 December 2007, 03:33:13
Water, Ice, and Electricity
Water conducts electricity because of it's ions. As water freezes it forces it's ions out, which become concentrated in the leftover unfrozen water. Ice is partially deionized and it's molecules and ions can barely move, so it can only conduct about as much as a static electric charge or less, and thus is an extremely poor conductor of an electrical charge.

Yeah, I hate chemistry. Probably a good excuse why I didn't know that, but if the ice itself is in the process of melting, it would conduct electricity right?

Wood and Electricity
Wood has tightly bound cellulose fibers, which are too tightly bound to conduct electricity. Wood is an insulator, which is essentially the opposite of a conductor. Insulators do not easily allow the flow of electricity.

[...]

However, lightning causes most forest fires, igniting dry wood and leaves with intense heat usually from straight cloud-to-ground lightning strikes that occur independently from a rain storm.

Yeah, I knew all that... mostly. I can't say I could answer all that on the top of my head, but I vaguely remember this.

Water, Ice, and Fire
If you were to drop ice on a campfire the fire might go out based on the fact that the ice smothers the fire if it's big enough. However the embers would survive and melt a small amount of the ice which would put out the embers.

But to put a small amount of in a fire, or a large about of ice over a fire would end differently. Water melts more slowly than it freezes, and as such the water created by ice melting over or in a fire appears in volumes too small to quell a fire. A fire cannot destroy itself by such means.

The melted water might wet some of the kindling and wood so it won't burn. But barely.

Yeah, the water or ice has to put out the fire in one shot, otherwise the fire still exists.

5190  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: What game are you playing? on: 30 December 2007, 23:43:25
Regular sized levels. Not big or small, just normal. From what I played.

Fair enough. I'd just prefer a good sized world to explore rather than just a cluster of ones. I was zooming through Galaxy stages too fast for my liking. It's too straightforward. Exploring in Sunshine was good (although searching every knick and cranny for blue coins was annoying).
5191  MegaMan Series / Legends Series / Re: Legends Anniversary Collection on: 30 December 2007, 23:23:25
That's what I was thinking too, hence the whole "it's a Nintendo product now..." bit.

5193  MegaMan Series / Miscellaneous MegaMan Games / Re: MegaMan Versus His Rivals on: 30 December 2007, 23:17:24
It does to me...

Fire melts Ice. Ice is water. Water puts out a fire.

Water conducts electricity. Ice is water. Ice conducts electricity.

I'd say only a few times it doesn't make sense. You'd think a tree pokemon would burn up if it got hit by an electric attack. Electricity does start fires. Fires burns wood.

Reminds me, I didn't understand the whole Battle Network "Wood beats Elec" deal. Everything else was fine.

EDIT: Vinch... *shakes fist*

Pass on MM64.  It was quite inferrior to it's PS1 counterpart.

True. I didn't know about all the errors in the port that was said about it, but when my friend played it years ago, I could already tell that the audio was downgraded. I already own my own hard copy so I could care less if it made it to the Wii Shop Channel or not. What I want is some Legends 2, and maybe Tron Bonne.

But I'm not sure if MM64 would even make it onto the VC. I mean, it is just a Playstation Port, so Sony has rights to it right? Then again, it's a Nintendo product now...

5200  MegaMan Matrix / The Creation Station / Re: Someguy's Mega Tarded comics on: 30 December 2007, 05:04:28
CM's right. This comic has no point in the storyline whatsoever. There's no action, and the drawings are so poor. I mean, it's on lined paper and without color for cryin' out loud. This comic requires a megaphone at maximum volume just so I can properly announce that this comic is indeed "retarded".

Therefore, I demand production of this comic to increase immediately.
