MegaMan Series / Legends Series / Re: MegaMan Legends 3 a Possibility?

Do you think they'll port over Legends 1 and 2 to the 3DS as well?
That would be quite a treat.
Indeed, but it's now on a Nintendo console. Could they really put a Sony game on there? I'm unfortunately thinking no, but then again... we DID have Mega Man 64. Also, I would like to something referenced from either Classic, X, Zero, or ZX.
I always thought it was weird that no one ever mentioned Classic Megaman in the X series. He was a champion of the people, and the time gap is only 100 years or so.
No. Nothing outside of easter eggs like the "Mega Man Tv show" on the TV in 2 or the posters and what not on the wall. If there is ANY direct connection in the actual plot there will be quite a few unhappy people. Just imagine, once Trigger gets back to Earth he has to fight his way deep into the ground to the core of the old master system which is really BIOMETAL ZX AXL OMG!!!! AND HE'S PROTECTED BY CYBER ELFS ROFFLES!!! Yeah. That's the kind of ##### I'M afraid they'll pull. And quite frankly, Zero/ZX was such trash from the plot stand point that trying to actively include it or even REFERENCE it would be the antithesis of the fun and charming world/scenario Legends pionerred (notice how bad Battle Network got when it moved away from the same feel and tried to go all "evil energy" ##### in the last 3 games?).
From what I can tell, Elysium is something I'm guessing X originally made for peace. Aside from that, here's the connection I want from ZX storyline. ZX: Humans and Reploids fight again. Humans (really, kids) get the power to fight, transform, and merge into other robots. Defeat villans over and over again, fight Rita and Zedd, insert something tragic, humans and reploids die (preferably from a great flood), and... that's it. Anything a digger finds should can be technology from ZX or something I guess, but nothing like a model or ANYTHING. Direct references to some of the old plot should be buried and remain buried, and Legends should just move forward. It's done fine with that. Heck, I originally thought Legends was a separate reality to begin with, so with that in mind, it should keep that in tact. Having a "Wily" in the game is funny, but if they find something like digging up Zero's corpse... no. just no. Posted on: 1 October 2010, 03:30:41
Just to add to why I mean by "remain buried", I'm not just talking about models and items specific to a past series. Cyber elves, Elf wars, or anything like that should either remain extremely vague if mentioned or not mentioned at all. Legends starts off with this feeling that you're living in a world with a huge history to it but nobody knows what it is. I'd like to see that stay, even if they're about to end the series. If they have to explain something, keeping something vague isn't hard and may not be bad at all.

As much as I liked the Legends gameplay, I really wanted Capcom to improve the engine and make something that "runs a little better".
I don't know how to describe it, but I kinda wanna play something like a cross between The Legend of Zelda and Mega Man. MML2 almost got that, except it didn't have enough land exploring for my likes. Plus I can practically kill anything by just running in a circle and spamming buster shots.
With that said, I certainly hope this is what Inafune means when he says he'll be working on it. If it's gonna be something better, I'm ALL for it.
Of course you could also get what Rez said with the chance this could be mediocre or downright stupid.

I'd say MMU is the best MMPU sequel we're gonna get.
Mainly because of what I mentioned, you now have a larger screen to customize with. MMPU had a very limited small screen vertically.
That's my main beef with handheld Mega Man games anyway, aside from Battle Network and the Gameboy games.

If it's anything like Powered Up, I would say it's not crappy. If anything, better.
Because they have at least got a full screen and not that crappy one we had to deal with on the PSP. At least, I hope, since it's on a real console.
What still bothered me about MMPU though was SOME of the limitations like mentioned. The packs was just the tip of the iceberg. You can't change the water level, can't make a boss corridor to the boss room, can't have Wily Bosses, can't have a big vertical stage, etc.
It's just stuff that limited my creativity and I hated that.

I'm just going to guess the original Mega Man cast is already in it I guess. Tron Bonne, Classic Mega Man, Roll, and... I guess Servbot, but I could really care less about him as a fighter.
And Bad Box Art Mega Man would be awesome.
And maybe as a costume change, you play as the Mega Man 2 box art? I would love that please.

I can say it was good... But not great or anything. I can at least enjoy playing the game with little to few issues concerning it. If you try to take the story seriously (or pretend there IS a valid story), it'll probably just ruin the experience. Posted on: 30 August 2010, 22:05:54

He basically has a set of attacks.
1) Charge at you. 2) Jump above you, and slam down, creating a shock. 3) Concrete shot.
He selects one of those attacks and uses it. After it's finished, he selects another one, even if it's the same one, and uses it. It's a "random" pattern, but a pattern still. You know what attack is coming obviously the second you notice he's leaning forward, bracing to jump, or pointing his buster though.
Kinda like playing Rock, Paper, Scissors.

I know right? I mean, Really? She even takes DOUBLE DAMAGE from a buster shot.
If I could grade them all, Splash Woman is definitely the easiest. Just move left and right, jump and shoot at her when she dives down, jump in a swift motion dodging fishes and shoot her. She goes down in 14 shots.
Concrete Man is annoying, but he's kinda average in difficulty. Just avoid concrete and jump over his charge attacks.
Galaxy Man, just run away, and shoot at him when he lands. Easy.
Jewel Man is tricky and I can't really describe how to beat him. You just shoot and jump repetitively until you luckily either land a hit or you hit a jewel, and if you do hit a jewel, you need to jump quickly to dodge it. (Black Hole Bomb makes this fight a joke though)
Plug Man is ANNOYING. Definitely a hard boss. I just shoot and dodge attacks until he corners me. Then I bust out Jewel Satelite for defense until he jumps so I can hit him with it and run away.
Tornado Man is also average. Just move left and right to dodge tornadoes, or if you're really good, dodge through them by jumping in between them. Shoot him when you can.
Magma Man is an easy pattern. Just stay fairly close and jump to avoid, while shooting him. While his pattern is fairly easy though, he's still pretty hard.
Hornet Man is average, but kinda difficult if you let the hornets overwhelm you with grenades and tommy guns. Just shoot them rapidly until at least one or none are left. Then unload on Hornet Man until he shoots more hornets. Don't forget to dodge the one hornet while shooting Hornet Man as he runs around like an idiot.

Yeaaaaah I'd say Trigger is in it if that is so.
I mean, it's be PRETTY stupid if it wasn't someone from Mega Man Legends. Imagine a Legends stage dedicated to MegaMan.exe.
It really smells like they're trying to brew up a Legends revival too. I hope so.

Have you ever played a Zelda game?
I was thinking the same thing. I can't be that picky with ZX. The models in ZX were VERY good as well as having their own function. In ZXA, I just felt like the boss transformations were a little bonus. Some had fun uses, but for the most part, they weren't necessary. You didn't want to play as a Boss for most of the game, unless you're just fooling around (which I did for quite a few of them and enjoyed it. Others... not so much). So I can understand the hate for ZXA when you talk about the Boss Transformations, but the models aren't bad.

I went to see Dragonball Evolution in theatres just to see how bad it was.
Of course, it's a "harmless" kind of bad movie. It isn't terrible, but amusing, just as long as you don't bring your expectations to the movie. Nobody needs to make a parody of this movie, because they pretty much did the job themselves. I especially like the FINAL BATTLE. All 2 seconds of it.

I must be the only one who actually liked* ZXA a bit more than ZX
*This is a very close call. It's so close, I probably could change my opinion in an instant. I mean, Model X isn't in ZXA, and that is one of the better models...

Really though, when this thread was created, there was no identification as to what MegaMan Universe is. Other than a few small details, we got a poster that Xero posted of X for what we know now is Mega Man Online. John posted a trailer to Mega Man Universe, but since everything is so VAGUE, there's barely anything we can tell about these games.
In short: STOP POINTING FINGERS AT EACH OTHER LIKE YOU'RE RIGHT AND EVERYONE IS WRONG. It's just silly.

... I thought they were the same thing. Then again, that doesn't make sense anymore. We have 2 trailers, and one shows (what I think is) the Mega Man 10 commercial kid. If it was a Korea only game, he wouldn't be in it. I honestly don't care what topic we talk about either in. I'm still confused. Posted on: 31 August 2010, 20:24:29
Okay, looked over the topic. This whole thread is just one huge identity confusion. The majority of this thread has mainly been about Rockman/MegaMan Online though. I suggest changing the thread name to that, and I'll make a topic for Mega Man Universe. http://www.megaman.co.uk/mboard/index.php?topic=1456.new#new
