I've been playing it on the PC recently. As long as you got people to play with in good supply, the game (pc version) has a lot of replay value, with all the custom maps and such.

I thought Acer computers were pretty good but I never really mess with the technical stuff. Among other things, the computer I built was able to turn on and run successfully. Taking less than a minute to start up as opposed to 5 minutes is sooo much better. Though my motherboard only reads 3.75 gb of the 4 gb ram, so I think I'll have to check the BIOS or call Micro Center (place I bought the parts).

I got a question on dual booting Windows 7.
My HDD is partitioned for one OS. The 64 bit version says it needs 20 gb minimum, so can I just partition 20 gb and in Windows 7 and use other files installed already, or it doesn't work that way?

I think you can burn Windows 7 on a disk and install; it'll expire around like March next year.
I plan on dual booting windows 7 so I'll still have an OS by the time it expires.

I'm mostly building my computer this time for educational purposes. My computer's been dying on my constantly so I'm glad I'll be having one that doesnt.
So I can't use my second HDD as a secondary in my computer unless I wipe it? Main reason I want to use it as is, is so I don't have to go through the hassle of moving all of my old files to an external. If the reason that I can't use it as a secondary is because it has an OS in it, couldn't I just remove the OS?
It's actually not as big of a deal as I'm making it sound, but I'd like to save a bit of time.

I declare this a tech advice thread as of now.
I'm building a new computer and I have a 250gb harddrive I will be using. My old computer has a 74 GB harddrive which has all my files. I plan on just having my old HDD as a secondary HDD so I dont have to back up files and such.
However, I have Windows XP 32 bit installed on my old hard drive and I plan on installing Windows XP 64 bit on my 250 gb harddrive (my main HDD).
How's this going to end up?

I've only played the first Halo on the PC but I remember having endless hours of fun with it, mostly because of the hundreds of maps in Custom Edition. There was even a cooperative map that someone made, though I remember it being really laggy.

I bought MSTRKRFT's first album today, which I know I'll love 'cause I know a bit of it like "Street Justice". I've only listened to their first album but I love it; there's a really distinct style. I still need to listen to Fist of God.

ONE LAST QUESTION CANT PROMISE
Forgot to say thanks earlier; I've been able to have my TV play through my computer speakers with a stereo cable from the TV's headphone jack to my computer sound card.
My computer is slowly dying, and I'm getting a new computer for college. The motherboard will have an HDMI port.
So the question is, if I connect my computer to my TV by HDMI (connect tv to motherboard) instead of DVI like I currently do, will my tv play sound through the computer speakers without the need of the stereo cable? (since HDMI carries both video and sound).

I really like Bioshock's art design and concept, have not yet playe dit. Your guys' low expectations better make it sweeter when I find the game fun!
I quite enjoyed the InFamous demo but I can see how it would get repetetive. Prototype I look foward to seeing a demo release of that.
Vinchez, how's Uncharted Drake's Fortune? Even though I need more rpg's than shooters (but Uncharted seems more like a platformer if that counts) I really want to play that game next. The story seems the most interesting.

I definately heard that track but could'nt remember where.
I really like Justice and hope they release some new songs soon. I've only heard The Looks from MSTRKRFT but I really like their creativity and certain aesthetic in their songs. Have not heard of Boys Noise, will check them out.
Before I thought techno was okay but I thought it sounded kinda cheesy to me which kinda made me disregard electronic music years ago. Recently though after hearing some dirty edgey electro music I was hooked.
I dont keep up with all the sub genres but I do like a lot of the general electronic and house stuff thats out there. General electronic artists that I currently listen to are Justice, MSTRKRFT, SebastiAn, Cut Copy, Klaxons, Deadmau5. Hope to expand more soon.
I actually started listening to The Prodigy from this topic just recently (really glad I did) and so far I'm enjoying all of Invaders Must Die, though I kinda wish I listened to their older stuff first.

A guy I talk to introduced me to Aphex Twin and I wish I heard his stuff earlier. I'm on an electro rampage now.
Reminds me when I was hooked on metal during middle school; I still listen to different stuff, though lately I always make time to listen to some electronic music. I think this phase will be lasting for awhile

I never finished SMRPG. I remember playing it during the sixth grade and enjoying it alot before my friend moved and took hes SNES with him. I believed I was at the part with the piano keys at some pond or something.
I need to play that game again. I really liked the graphics and music.

Guitar Hero is fun but buying a new game with different songs but the same game mechanics isn't very appealing to me.
I dont really like how Microsoft and Sony are essentially giving a low blow the Wii, but it's probably what the market wants. I don't know how good the motion sensing for the 360 is, but the technology for the PS3's magic wand was incredible, it's definately a lot better than aiming at an IR sensor. Now that Microsoft and Sony will do essentially the same stuff as the Wii but with better hardware, it seems like the Wii will really be even more of a budget console in the future. (which is sad because it was really innovative when It first came out).
I'm still relaly excited for the games that are comming out for the Wii so when the price drops down again later this year I'd like to get one.

I heard that there's not much of an option to not be an asshole in Prototype. Though I suppose trying not to kill civillians with those sweeping attacks and fighting evil soildiers can be considered good.
I'm downloading the inFamous demo. I know nothing about it except that it reminds me of Static Shock. I liked that cartoon.

thankssssss MORE SCHOOL WORK Jazz poster I made for my graphics class. Only 1 out of 3 people could tell that it was a person (the red thing) playing a piano though I suppose that's more of my fault. I just noticed I could replace the piano with a synthesizer and stuff and it'd look like a poster promoting electronic music with the guy turning knobs and stuff haha well sorta okay

Well the crossed out text is probably more accurate to my reasons but I just read like a few reviews saying that the video quality wasn't too different from downloading a torrent.
Cool to hear your opinion on those shows though, I definately heard some good things about Weeds.

I ended up downloading the rest of Arrested Development because I couldn't wait cheaped out heard the quality of the DVD set wasn't too good. Fortunately the quality of the downloads is quite good and I'm having a fun run through of season 2.
My cousins suggested to me Weeds and It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia which I will be watching later. My cousin did tell me that IASIP's humor was similar to The Venture Bros in that since both shows make fun of assholes, it'd be more funny if you dealed with them on a daily basis.

Decided to make myself a monogram for future businessey stuff. It'd be pretty cool to say that I'm using a monogram I made in high school; though not sure If i'll be using a different one in the future. I played around with the placement of my first name but decided to have it on top of my last. It kinda looks like a paintball gun if you look closely (not intended though). Colors got saturated because I made it on a CMYK document, but you get the general idea. edit: converted to RGB so here's what it supposed to look like

I played the Marvel Vs Capcom 2 demo. The sprites' pixels look really blurred and I dont know why there's these really blocky 3D models in the background and cheesy flash game-esque interface in the game. The original looks much better and the graphics in the 360/PS3 version got really mangled.
Other than that it played pretty much the same.

I had that demo downloaded a few days ago (i was a bit hesitant because there's a lot of tom clancy games that I don't enjoy much), and I was expecting it to be pretty similar to Acecombat; however the only Acecombat game I've played was 4 and Hawx seems to have some extra mechanics with cool camera angles which is cool. I'll get to playing the demo this weekend.
I haven't played anything this week but last week I got Half-Life 1 on the PC, and been playing Killzone 2. (this is my 2nd fps game on a console and I just wanted a slower paced fps to play;now I probably won't get another fps game for a long time)
