So I got both Japanese collections off of play-asia and just opened them. The inserts I knew about, but there are these other ones with what look like download codes? I guess I'll look further into that...

Edit: they're registration codes. If you register one of these and MM11 using a code from each you're eligible for some kind of free distribution of, I guess, some limited edition stuff.

Yeah and I wouldn't worry about it much. I mean, it could be worse. On MY fourteenth birthday I was crucified.

It taught me to always look on the bright side of life.

I just take every excuse to use Nintendo's messaging. It makes me feel hip.

I guess at this point echo fighters are just fighters that are similar and not entirely unique?

I'll wait until I see the character screen in its entirety before I decide which I would choose, I think, but I think that was pretty much the purpose: make everything appear concise.

I was going to have something to say about the D-pad positions on controllers but it seems to me all mainstream controllers in the recent era have D-pads in a comfortable spot for me. My only issue with the D-pad on the Switch Pro Controller isn't the placement of it but rather how it falsely registers up inputs in Puyo Puyo Tetris when I'm very clearly not pressing up and I know that isn't an isolated issue.

Pausing the video halfway through to reflect on how I find myself wondering what Nintendo would be like if Sakurai was the director (or at least had some form of directorial influence) of all of Nintendo's multiplayer properties. Possible exception of Splatoon and ARMS which I haven't played yet. He seems to really get what people want out of the games, which is choice. I don't understand for the life of me why I can't switch weapons in MK8 deluxe, why I'm forced to have time limits in local battle mode and all that. Whereas in Smash I have more choices than I would ever care to tinker with.

I'm impressed by all of the content but I'm starting to get really curious if a single game cartridge can possibly hold all of it.

Isn't SA-X just Samus (in appearance) with freak eyes? I dunno how you "echo" that. Dark Samus may not be as interesting but the stark visual contrast (in colour and in stance) in the context of Smash, I think, works better.
After having played Prime I find that the main thing I dislike about it is the fact that so many bosses and enemies are just bullet sponges. Which works for me in 2D Metroid but feels awkward in 3D when you land what appears to be a critical shot and the enemy doesn't even flinch. Maybe I'm remembering something wrong, though; it's certainly been a while. I just know that the fights, especially many of the bosses, felt like a huge grind.

You know what I think might be driving up the amount of playables and why they're not being relegated to DLC this time around? I feel like there's no uncertainty at this point, from Nintendo or anyone, that they're going to make a KILLING on amiibo sales. My sense is that they have carte blanche in the character department.
108  MegaMan Series / X Series / Re: Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 & 2 on: 31 July 2018, 15:21:32
I'm fine with leaving X6 as it is. It's a tableau of how hard a developer can fail at something they'd previously been known for being good at. One could argue it's no longer a game meant to be played for fun, but to study as some kind of a historical piece.

If you want these on the Switch, IMPORT!  This is by far the superior version of the games, plus you get them ALL on cartridge and the box art is 1000x better!

If you're still this happy after having played more of it, absolutely.
109  MegaMan Series / X Series / Re: Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 & 2 on: 28 July 2018, 16:51:23
I still have somewhat fond memories of X8 but I suspect I won't be as impressed by it once I play it again.

The last X Collection I had SOME problems with. I hated X1 to X3 pretty much for no other reason than how they handled music loops alone. I can't believe that kind of thing ether made it past quality assurance or was ignored when they brought it up.

But if this collection at least doesn't have any issues as bad as THAT, I'm comfortable enough buying it.
110  MegaMan Series / X Series / Re: Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 & 2 on: 27 July 2018, 21:48:10
I only bothered to kill him as Zero way way back in two thousand and whatever and I did so by deflecting his megalobarfs with m'lightsabre.

I remember it being quite difficult because I wasn't good at not being punched into the abyss.

Come to think of it, how many Mega Man final bosses even have a move (or a room) that can insta-kill you?
111  MegaMan Series / X Series / Re: Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 & 2 on: 26 July 2018, 11:54:42
So just to be sure I understand this, when you select English on these imported copies, everything's in English except the animated scenes which are Japanese with no subtitles?
112  MegaMan Series / X Series / Re: Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 & 2 on: 24 July 2018, 18:13:37
Eesh. I want to get this but I don't even actually have a PS4 yet. I'm sure as hell not getting it on Switch; Capcom screwed themselves out of an early buy from me.
113  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Matricians: Show your Music! on: 24 July 2018, 17:14:21
I only believe that from what I've heard. My phone has like a speaker add-on that specifically advertises itself as a higher quality BECAUSE it uses a direct connection and not bluetooth, and I've also heard it mentioned a couple of times by reviewers.

I was about to get a Skullcandy wireless one yesterday but my girlfriend shook her head at me. Said she bought from them once and they're bad quality sound for the price and they also use the port size to pressure you to buy their own proprietary headphone cables (which are of course higher priced). Now I'm not sure at all what to get.
114  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Matricians: Show your Music! on: 24 July 2018, 07:29:57
So... I've had pretty decent luck with over-ear headphones. My last set I bought in 2011 and they died in 2016, and I have this new pair from Sennheiser that I got for half price since then.

My trouble is with on-ear travel headphones. I used to wear cheap buds for a long time. I ended up switching to Sony travel headphones a couple years back. The case still works but the cord seems to be frayed on the inside around the plug, and this seems to have happened relatively soon compared to my other headphones. With me not going back to buds I'm left wondering what kind of travel headphones I should look for. Basically I'm looking for the best value with reasonable sound quality in the long term.

Also a lot of headphones seem to advertise their bass quality over everything else and I don't really get that. I mean I guess I do, but the kind of music I listen to often has a lot more than just bass, and it would leave something to be desired if a nuanced, balanced song was otherwise drowned out by its bass portions. I have very little idea if and how much I know what I'm even talking about here, but I know some of you are way more into music than I've ever been so I might benefit from some of your opinions.

I keep looking at bluetooth headphones, too, and wondering if the trade-off in sound quality is worth avoiding the risk of the cord—seemingly the most flimsy part of any headphone—breaking within weeks or months.

Oh, and... as for actual music. This might be embarrassing to admit, but I only heard Daft Punk's "Alive 2007" album off YouTube just recently. I was never that much into Daft Punk, but fairly recently they just clicked with me.

Starting with Primrose in the demo may have put clouds over my view of the game. It was indeed dark, but not in any way that I found interesting.
116  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: What game are you playing? on: 22 July 2018, 06:38:05
I didn't get the best first impression from the demo, but mainly because I dislike the voice acting and the character I selected. But I had the same kind of issue with bravely default. Gameplay was solid though.
117  MegaMan Series / X Series / Re: The Potential of Mega Man X9 on: 18 July 2018, 17:16:11
The way Alia was implemented was fine after X5.  She can provide tips and hits for those unfamiliar with the X series, but as long as it's optional.

I don't think weapons should be mixed as each weapon has a normal and charged variant.

My offhand thought was that strong level design wouldn't even require the option of her input, in the same way that 1-1 of Super Mario Bros. is designed such that it doesn't need someone interrupting you to tell you you can jump on goombas. That being said I feel that you've probably played X8 more than I have and maybe you have an example or two where she was better for the overall game by being in there.

In the worst case I'd accept the option to just turn her off, but my opinion is that in the best case, with the best design, maybe she wouldn't be needed in the first place.

And what if there just weren't charged variants? What if charging was the simply the mechanic by which you combine weapons? You hold down charge, swap weapon, release, and then a combination occurs of the weapon you started charging and the weapon you released. I dunno.

Other thoughts:
If any secrets are barred by lacking certain weapons or upgrades, you should still be able to 100% the game without revisiting stages. Which means, ideally, the suggested boss order is the same order in which you tackle the levels and are able to collect everything. That way people who already know the optimal way to 100% the game get a streamlined experience without it really affecting people who are still feeling out the game blind.

Obviously both X and Zero should be able to access all upgrades in one form or another.

I'd actually be fine if Vile was playable, even as just a tacked-on unlockable that, unlike Alia/Layer/Palette, would havefer some variation in the gameplay.

If fusing things together becomes sort of the gimmick, maybe the 8-boss rush can be a 4-boss rush instead, to which maybe there's randomness involved in which ones fuse together their movesets and attacks.

and then at the end of the game you become an ultimate golden god character named xero

But I joke.
Honestly I don't know how well any of that would work in tandem with Zero's gameplay anyway. I do agree that I want more incentive to test and use weapon energy during the stages though.

But either way, definite YES to bringing back SOMETHING similar to the X-Hunters. That was my favourite part of X2.

According to the X Legacy Collection Album, there is a blurb that states "The Story of X's fight is not yet over"

I think this ##### is happening....
I think they're planning something but I'm keeping relatively cool about it until I see it. I'm already pretty happy for MM11's existence; that's plenty enough for me right now. If they're working on X9, or MMX [working title] or whatever because maybe it won't even be a direct sequel to all the weird story crap that happened before, I hope they make sure MM11 is good first before they continue.
118  MegaMan Series / X Series / Re: The Potential of Mega Man X9 on: 17 July 2018, 18:41:24
What if X's arm part could allow you to mix boss weapons? Imagine something like a fire wave/homing torpedo hybrid. Probably a throwaway idea but it just randomly occurred to me.

One thing I'll definitely add: Lose Alia. I don't care if she's a character in the story I just don't want her talking back to me in the stages. Obviously the stages should be designed such that her input isn't needed.

I'd also look for... if there's going to be lore, I'd rather it be in the environments. I'd rather them go for stage design first, and then if they can tell a story with how they visualize the stages and enemies, then they should do it that way without explaining too much overtly.
119  MegaMan Series / X Series / Re: Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 & 2 on: 17 July 2018, 17:09:45
I really like the mode. It caught me off guard at first that the sprites were mixed, but I'm not convinced a larger, 32 bit Chill Penguin would be inherently better on account of how it will redesign the boss. I think maybe bosses should feel as much like they originally felt as possible, more than anything else, because that's what veteran players will expect to go by when fighting them.

And I could go either way on which version of X they should pick, but to me it would have to be one size. Seems like an inherent problem with allowing them to mix, but it's a problem I'd rather just accept than not be able to mix bosses from different games which seems like the whole point of this.

I don't know. Maybe I'm wrong, but I feel like it's arbitrary and I could make an argument for either, and I'd rather take the side where I have one less thing to complain about. My first priority is that it's fun to play.

Something also occurred to me. Is this game even getting all of the same gameplay modes that classic Legacy Collection had? Or is the X Challenge replacing them?
120  MegaMan Series / X Series / The Potential of Mega Man X9 on: 16 July 2018, 15:11:33
Thought I'd start its own topic.

IF Mega Man X9 existed, what would you like to see? What graphical style, what characters, whatever... but most of all, like, what kind of levels, bosses, and weapons designs would you expect? What do you think would be interesting for X and Zero to do? What can be done that hasn't been done before? What would work, and what wouldn't?

This series has a breadth of content to sort through, we could potentially have a list of YESes and NOs on any previous element that another X game had, and then also leave room for other new ideas.
121  MegaMan Series / X Series / Re: Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 & 2 on: 16 July 2018, 15:01:36

I'd second Ganon. I don't think I ever even thought of that before. Though I like both the OOT and the original Ganon. But hell, if we can have both Young Link and Toon Link, I guess I've no problem with having both of them.

I'm already sold on Smash, it looks awesome. As to whether I'll actually play it is another thing.
123  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: What game are you playing? on: 13 July 2018, 18:18:11
I've been playing Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, and I've been having David Wise music stuck in my head for days. The levels are amazing and for the most part constant fun, and I mostly like how the bosses work in this game. They don't feel as AI-ish as older DKC games, even though there are still patterns. The fight just evolves as both of you learn, and only seems to fall to repetition when you're bad at timing. It also goes a lot farther without the reliance on Wii remote shaking, which I never minded that much but it sure was hard to time perfectly.

Is anyone playing Octopath Traveler? I still haven't finished the first Bravely Default. I got to a certain point and then just haven't picked it back up. JRPGs are too dense for me these days I guess.

I'm glad I never knew who Domino was so I could go ahead and not invest any energy into forming an opinion on her race. I thought she was awesome though. I should also get the OST at some point because the music was another one of the high points.

I saw Deadpool 2. I might never have seen it but an opportunity came up. I actually think I like it more than the first movie.

I didn't have high expectations going in. It somehow managed to come out more creative, at least in my view. The first Deadpool seemed to rest on Deadpool's novelty in terms of a movie audience. It worked, and everyone loved it, but I kind of came out thinking, well... I think I enjoyed the humour most of all, but the villain and like half of the plot was just uninteresting to me. The second Deadpool seemed to have a lot more of the stuff that works.
126  Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: E3 2018 on: 26 June 2018, 03:16:12
Pretty much what I would expect from E3. (fixed link in edit)

That being said I haven't paid much attention this year. My android phone alerted me to some of it, though. Smash's "EVERYONE IS HERE!" was something to make me smile. I still don't know if I'm going to buy it but I would agree it's a very good selling point.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is tempting. Mostly because it seems to being going for the stuff I actually like about the Souls games while staying away from the stuff I'm not really into about Bloodborne and Dark Souls 3. I know their slogan has been "PREPARE TO DIE" since the first Dark Souls, but I'm not ACTUALLY into dying over and over and over again.

Rez mentioned Ori 2. I hadn't heard that was being developed. I really liked the first one, so there's that.

Anything else?

It would be fun to work on a Majikn character.

You're welcome to try it, and I look forward to seeing yours in colour.

The main thing I'd keep about Majikn's appearance is a distinguishing buster that works as a long range silenced-sniper with two front-facing eyes, unlike the one I originally drew. It's not a morphing buster so moving parts would be involved to give the hand underneath more freedom when it's inactive.
Other than that, the character's a reploid, typically green, a bit shorter than X, quiet. Probably with the same type of resting face that Mega Man has in Smash. Large observing eyes and a small mouth. Any doodads that I'd add, if any, I'd probably try to make them appear to serve any function that would somehow improve stealth in a world where many enemies would have things like innate IR, heat, and night vision.

And see, this is what I mean. I didn't even intend to give a lot of detail there and I still came out with two paragraphs.
129  MegaMan Matrix / The Creation Station / Re: Mikero's Artflows on: 27 February 2018, 01:40:23
I think the Novaman design is simple in a good way.

I think my problem with designing my character was trying TOO hard. Actually I think that's been my problem with almost any creative endeavour.

I still think I like Mikero's old design but that isn't to say I like it more. I think this new design is interesting and seems a bit more thought out. Are the colours going to be roughly the same? Is the white part on the helmet still gonna glow?
130  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Matricians: What are you watching? on: 16 February 2018, 06:51:00
I've seen a fair amount of Seinfeld episodes but again, not something I specifically sought out to see every episode of in order. I might opt to do that at some point. I used to range from dislike to just neutral disinterest for sitcoms at best, and pretty indiscriminately. I'm definitely not a Big Bang Theory or Two and a Half Men kind of person, though.

So... inb4 censorship?

Majikn my friend, you really need to consolidate your Mega Man platforms.
What platform has every Mega Man game?

Also I forgot I bought Legacy Collection on steam for like 5 bucks.

Also I know what you meant but I must inform everyone that I imagined myself smashing all of my devices together and hoping that it'll form some sort of... Mega Console...

So why... exactly... was the first collection rated M in Australia?
133  MegaMan Series / Zero Series / Re: Megaman Zero Info Wars on: 11 February 2018, 10:11:25
X is superior in every way, but Maverick Hunter X is still a sort of fanservice to me. I think I like it more than most people here do. It has its faults and a lot of people don't like it but it seemed to me, for better or worse, a lot of genuine effort went into it. Perhaps not so much to do with the game itself, but it also took until X8 to really hear X and Zero's definitive voices. It was nice to hear them back in Maverick Hunter X with all of the scenes they did and it was a shame that series never continued in my opinion.

And sure, it missed the mark, but the mark was already a bullseye the first time around so I never really felt like that harmed anything.

And now we're talking about MHX. I love this site.
134  MegaMan Series / Zero Series / Re: Megaman Zero Info Wars on: 10 February 2018, 08:09:04
So... was there ever a REASON the art style was changed so much and Zero's design wasn't even reminiscent of his original appearance? Was there ever, like, an interview or something containing an explanation? Even if it's something mundane like drawing something that someone believed would fit better in GBA sprite form?

Like, X8's art style is a bit different, but X still looks like X and Zero still looks like Zero and all that.
135  MegaMan Series / Classic Series / Re: Mega Man 11 on: 9 February 2018, 21:25:28
It's a little more than sprite work and the music, I'd say. I think there's a lot of focus on polish. I couldn't speak to the quality of the level design until I actually play it.

I don't recall even seeing the villain. Some of the mavericks look no worse than some of the sillier official mavericks, and some are a bit worse, but I can shrug that off. I don't know about the Metroid style world either and I'm not sure a fan could just pull that off. Benefit of the doubt.

It still at least looks way better than that MM X Street Fighter that I couldn't be bothered to finish.
136  MegaMan Series / Classic Series / Re: Mega Man 11 on: 9 February 2018, 21:08:15
Oh Rez, You think too highly of Cacpom.  If we get a new MMX, it's going to be in the graphical style and maybe even storyline of between X2&X3.

Given I didn't play Classic 9 or 10, so I don't know if they continue the story of Duo and Rock's growing sense of evil... but I'd honestly expect X to follow the same theme of cheaply made nostalgia bait if it got a late 2010s release.

I'd say you're missing out. I love both 9 and 10. Their events have almost nothing to do with anything preceding. Duo is nowhere to be seen. They're standalone games focused on player fun.

X9 could very well ditch Axl, but I really don't care if he's in there or not. Alive, playable, dead, KIA, or just missing. Like easy mode in MM10. I don't care for it but I don't have to use it. Not that I expect there'll be an X9. There's a certain fan game for the X series that's been in development since like... at least 2009 that I'm still interested in.

What I'm hoping for right now (and kind of expecting) is MM11 to have an MM7ish quality to it.
137  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: Matricians: What are you watching? on: 5 February 2018, 20:17:26
^I did too for the most part I think. But I also never watched it before apart from a few episodes here and there.

Now I'm up to season 8 (I had started around December) and it impresses me how much information they leave to the audience to simply remember. I figured it would always be recapping everything given all that's already happened, and because of the type of show that it is, but they seem comfortable just expecting you to know things or at least figure things out given certain implications. But they'll occasionally just reference something that happened ages ago and/or was never outright explained in that episode for a joke. I don't think that's a bad thing. It kind of gives me the notion that the writers respected their audience more than I originally would have thought.

And I don't know if it actually gets funnier if it progresses or if the comedy just clicks more. Like... I don't know if it's me that's changing, or the show. There are jokes and situations here and there that I find predictable, but even then the delivery is usually funny.

I'm actually somewhat interested in Mass Effect Andromeda. This is coming from someone who gave up on the series after Mass Effect 2 not because I didn't overall like Mass Effect 2, but at the time I had more of a chip on my shoulder about EA's takeover and all the DLC and gaming controversies so I had no interest in 3.

I will definitely get Yooka-Laylee at SOME point and I'll probably enjoy it.

I think right now I'm mostly just looking for something action RPG-ish that isn't a Souls game. I may get Skyrim for Switch because I still haven't really played that. Or Minecraft again despite that I was Anti-Minecraft for a long time. Turns out I enjoy making stuff.

I've beaten and am taking a break from Zelda. I dunno if I'm ever going to get everything in that game but I might try some sort of challenge run... sometime this year.

I got super excited about Mega Man 11. Like, tears in my eyes excited because my son will be old enough to try the game with me when it arrives later this year.

This made me smile.
141  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: The MOVIE Thread on: 4 January 2018, 19:31:21
It had all of the things that I would say a Star Wars sequel should have; I'll give it that. I felt pretty much the same way about the latest Pirates movie. Though I felt that Star Wars was overwhelmingly on the better side of fun than Pirates was, I enjoyed both. I may decide to watch it again, and of course I probably inevitably will, and maybe then I'll have a better understanding of how I feel about... some of the things that happened and whether they make sense to me or not.

But I guess for every overpowered character or weird lucky thing that happens you can justify it as "the force wants them to succeed" anyway.

Those Walrus cow tiddies were a little bit too much like human tiddies and not enough like cow udders.

And the look of pleasure on it's face, weird.

Every time I check this thread and read this, I chuckle a little.
142  Non-MegaMan / Any Other Business? / Re: The MOVIE Thread on: 28 December 2017, 06:17:35
This movie didn't COMPLETELY knock my socks off because it had its weird moments, but for me it was a fun ride throughout. It's hard to make a long movie really feel like an epic without making it just plain boring; I think they pulled off the pacing very well. That's partly my attitude, though. I bought tickets to this film to enjoy it, even if I had to see it as more of a "ride" than an actual film.

I almost laughed aloud at Luke's character... at least once. For the most part I thought Luke was very entertaining but I'm not sure I understood his motivations.
I feel like the "twist" at the end should have been obvious to anyone who has an inkling to what the Jedi are all about. And if you're asking which one, I mean the one involving a character and a lot of explosions. It surprises me more that anyone was surprised. I still thought it was cool though.
When in April? Is it a one day thing like The Purge? Should I wear hockey pads?

It really pisses me off since one of the things I loved about the Switch carts at launch was that there were no mandatory installs when you insert a game. On the PS4 and Xbox One, you have to install the full game on your hard drive even if you bought physical. And yet we're still getting them anyway on the Switch from 3rd parties.

It can't be a question of capacity, can it? I mean with technology as it is, it seems hard to believe anything couldn't fit on those carts.

I was a bit disappointed to find out that the Switch wouldn't have a mechanism for patching their own carts. Imagine being able to buy DLC and just... having it on the same original cart you bought the game on. That could have been like a new golden age for the end user and game collectors. Maybe there are so many reasons that wouldn't work, but it seemed like such a good idea. I don't mind expansions but I know I'm not the only one who appreciates a time when you only have to buy a game once to have all of the content available for it, in one place, without having to wait an extended period of time just to buy some complete edition.

As to hand-drawn stuff I'll admit there seem to be very VERY few games that have actually pulled it off, but I always assumed that was for lack of effort. I dunno. I think for me it's just a consistency thing. I like Rayman Legends visually though; I think that's on the higher end of what I think you're talking about. When you say Newgrounds flash I'm immediately thinking of 20XX.

Early on I was definitely posting out of some incentive to get to the downloads, MChat access, and the other cool stuff but I remember having the decency to at least try to be reserved about it. Like I was excited to post here and I remember posting in a lot of threads way more often than I ever posted since, but I don't think I just made a bunch of one line posts, I think I just spent a fair amount of effort in each one though I'm sure I still came off like somewhat of an idiot. But that's all in some archive somewhere now if any of those posts ever even survived.

Winged Warrior, I share your feelings to some extent. I joined in 06 which was like a good 7? years after the site began. Before MMM I had learned "etiquette" from other forums like GameFAQs and one or two other semi-private forums but I was still a teenager and pretty much everything that comes with that. I love reading old posts here sometimes; my own posts don't do much for me but reading/recalling the banter from you guys usually gives me a smile and a chuckle now and then.

I'm not a huge fan of hand-drawn sprites, to be honest, but could make the action faster, that's true. They make every game look like a Newgrounds one to me and the way they animate and move in gameplay is not to my taste but it's fine. As long as they iron out the stiffness in this 2.5D stuff and maybe tweak the character design then I'm all good.

I'm surprised you feel this way. It never occurred to me that the amateur Newgrounds look might be something inherent to hand-drawn stuff. Did you feel that way about Wario Land for Wii?

I did all the shrines in BOTW and then just haven't finished the actual story for whatever reason. I'll get to it soon, I just wanted to upgrade my gear even though there's likely very little point considering how buff Link is now.

I'm having a similar problem. Well not really a "problem" that I enjoy a game so much that I don't want to finish it. I switched to Master Mode so I have more of a reason to use Wolf Link and I redid a lot of stuff. I still haven't finished the game and I most just want to keep roaming and collecting.

And yeah I'm also playing Odyssey now. I'm not far in and it's pretty much matching my expectations after playing Zelda which is a hard act to follow for me. It almost makes Odyssey seem underwhelming even though it's so far beyond what I ever expected the next Mario game to be before seeing the trailer.

I don't think I mind either way. It would be cool if retro style was a visual mode you could just select prior to playing, but in the worst case I imagine there's gonna be someone willing to create a "demake" of the final product if people want it so much. Or maybe the company will see that as a DLC opportunity or something. If it was DLC I'd be willing to pay like $5 MAXIMUM for a retro skin, but I imagine if they do something like that in reality it'll be at least like $13 and everyone will complain about the fact that there's DLC.

I think ideally, if they want to make it look newer, high-definition hand-drawn sprites are the way to go and I'm not super passionate about the difference but I'd definitely be more excited for that.

I really hope they don't bother with voice acting and avoid gameplay interruptions that don't add anything. Those were probably my biggest peeves with Mighty No. 9.

I think if anything my biggest concern is if this gets cancelled. I really hope that doesn't happen.

But who's on which of your monitors?

I'm asking because want to know who's on the farthest monitor from the one on me so I can tell them to distract you while I do the crazy.
