Title: Advance Wars: Days of Ruin
Post by: MOX on 25 January 2008, 04:08:37
This is the first AW game I've played, I never played the other ones before. Maybe it's just that I'm bad, but this game is really hard, I usually have to sacrifice some of my units to finish the later missions. The game isn't difficult in a way you want to quit the game though, it's difficult in a fun way, using a lot of thinking before you make your moves. I'm about on the 5th mission right now.

I like the idea of AW a lot more than the actual playing of the game.

I'm guessing the multiplayer is great in this one though.

I'll probably get Days of Ruin when it comes out here, assuming I've finished Duel Strike by then. I stll have the last mission on Black Hole Rising to finish as well...

On my Mac I've been off and on playing Advance Wars 2, which I really like. I liked original Advance Wars too but I couldn't finish the last battle even using save states, there was just too much random luck involved.

I probably won't get this one because I like to do those kinds of games with saves in between each move. I just like it that way.

You can save during your turns on Days of Ruin.
