They're advertising the hell out of the movie Knight and Day...even though it doesn't come out until June.
Seriously, it's like Hollywood was like "Let's make a movie starring the two people that will make Jacob NOT want to see it."

Plus they took out most of the great lines, AND the kick to the old lady's face!
I knew that there was something missing from the final fight, but I couldn't put my finger on what it was. I own it on DVD, they just got to my favorite part and I decided to watch it.

Totally not worth it. You know you feel like doing a roadtrip to watch a movie you could rent for $1 from a Redbox.
UPDATE: Currently watching Hot Fuzz on Comedy Central.

I watched The Boondock Saints with some co-workers last night as we got #####faced for St. Patrick's Day. Next week we're going to watch The Boondock Saints II: All Saints' Day.

The drive back to my apartment from work was hell once I got in my town. Nothing had been plowed, and then I almost got hit back a plow truck. It was backing out of a parking lot, but I managed to avoid it by swerving to the left and accelerating.
I got back to my apartment shaken, but then I called up the University's weather hotline: SNOW DAY! That news made my day seem pretty good.
Now I'm going to sleep for a few hours and then play some Mass Effect 2.

I got all of the online achievements for Facebreaker, Madden 07, and NBA Street: Homecourt. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get all of the online achievements for NBA Live 07 and NCAA March Madness 07, and any of the online achievements for UEFA Champions League 06-07. OH WELL.
For some reason, the Facebreak servers haven't been turned off...I'm assuming that it's because it isn't a yearly game (like NBA Live 07), and there are enough people still playing it at this current time to keep it going. Or I'm completely wrong and they'll turn off the servers while I'm away at work.
BACK TO MASS EFFECT 2.

I watched Smokin' Aces 2: Assassin's Ball. I thought it was pretty decent - worthy of Smokin' Aces name, but not as long as it should have been. Pretty much what you should expect of a Smokin' Aces movie made with a straight-to-DVD budget.
Haven't done much else.

DVDs I picked up this week:
Best Buy The Hurt Locker
Wal-Mart City of Ember / Dragonball Evolution 2-pack Resurrecting the Champ / The Wrestler 2-pack
The Complete James Dean Collection: East of Eden Giant Rebel Without a Cause
The Essential Steve McQueen Collection: Bullitt The Cincinnati Kid The Getaway Never So Few Papillon Tom Horn
All of these movies for $100.
I originally wasn't going to pick up the Steve McQueen collection because I didn't recognize any of the titles except for Bullitt (one of Dad's favorites, along with the other classic car chase movie, Vanishing Point), but then I saw that it was the two-disc version. I knew that it retailed for $20 by itself, so $15 for the two-disc version of Bullitt plus five other movies was a slam dunk.

Or you can just ignore that and look at this:
That dude was at MAGFest...that's actually the ballroom where they held the concerts. He was in costume...two of the nights, I think. I know he was there Saturday for Armcannon, and Sunday for The Megas. Not sure if he was there in costume on Friday night for Armadillo Tank - everybody was being wowed by the guy who dressed up as Guile. The photo makes it look not that impressive, but it was actually a pretty awesome costume. You can't see it in the photo, but he had a Metal Blade (obviously thick cardboard spraypainted) for him to throw around.

Then you should have finished by now!
One of the people there at the showing had also attended the Q&A panel. Apparently the film was supposed to have been done quite a bit ago, but it's taken them hell of a lot longer than it should have, and the budget blew up like no other (although the person couldn't remember how much they had said they spent on the movie).

So yeah, I was at MAGFest for the last four days. During this time, they held a panel for this movie (I didn't get to attend, but the scheduling was stupid anyway - why hold a Q&A panel days before you show the movie), and they also showed a super rough cut of the film (which I did attend).
Okay...it's about as good as you'd think it would be.
Quick rundown:
The Good: -Wily's castle looks awesome, as do quite a few of the other special effects -Does well with it's budget (which is apparently 3 times what it should have been at this point) -Some nice video game references thrown in for those paying attention. -The guy who plays Dr. Wily really hams it up. -Proto Man is the coolest character in the movie -The overall look of the Robot Masters, as well as Mega Man, is nice. -Yellow Devil was badass.
The Bad: -The girl who plays roll is annoying as #####, and the guy who plays Dr. Light isn't too great either. -Dialogue sucks, and some of the actors can't save it. -Most of the fight scenes aren't that good.
Now of course, with a super rough cut, you have to realize that not everything that should be there will be there. Music and special effects weren't there for some of the scenes, leaving for some unintentionally hilarious moments, and there were some spots where it felt like scenes weren't completely shot yet. While we (a 3/4s-filled room) did laugh our asses off throughout the film, we all stood up and clapped at the end. I'm hoping that they'll show a more completed form at the next MAGFest.
The movie has a lot of heart. It does. But in the end, I get the same vibe that I got from the unreleased 1994 Fantastic Four movie: Lots of heart, but it would've been better (or at least tolerable) as a syndicated Saturday afternoon show. As a fan-made film, it's not bad. As a regular film...it's really not that good.

I've been playing a ton of Shadow Complex today...I really love this game. I'm not sure where I am in the story, but I'm having a lot of fun playing it. I hope that Chair can one day wrestle away the rights to Advent Rising so they can finish the story one day.
I've also downloaded Secret of Monkey Island: SE, Castle Crashers, and Battlefield: 1943.

Let me guess, they didn't release WCI, II, III OR Privateer first.
EDIT: I'm not sure how many of those, if any, got PSX releases though.
Wing Commander III was the only other one to get a PSX release. The original Wing Commander and I think Secret Missions got a PSP release through EA Replay.
