I was sick all last week with some allergy ##### and just when I thought I was done, my nose was like "HAHAHA GET BENT FOOL!" I really hope this ##### clears up in time for graduation on Saturday.

Girlfriend picked up Django Unchained and Iron Man: Rise of Technovore. Haven't watched either yet, but she loved Django.

To be brief:  Legends 1 & 2 are two of my favorite games of all time, and the cancellation of Legends 3 is one reason why I say Capcom can go suck a #####.

Watched Expendables 2 and Seven Psychopaths over the weekend.

I enjoyed Expendables 2, although I feel like Jean-Claude Van Damme's bad guy wasn't explored at all. In fact, none of the characters are really explored...which kind of bothers me 2 movies in.

Seven Psychopaths is excellent. I love Martin McDonagh's stuff.

My girlfriend and I saw G.I. Joe: Retaliation and Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters at the drive-in. Neither of the films were particularly good, but they were fun for what they were. Hansel & Gretel I'd watch again if it was on TV.

I've also started watching Ordinary People again. We had to read it for my 11th grade English class and then watch the movie - at the time, I thought both sucked balls. However, I still think about it every once in a while, so I wondered if I was just too young to "get it". I'm 30 minutes in, and the verdict thus far is, yeah, young Speed Racer was too young for it.

I really want to see 42.

Plant man would win because everyone would be fighting and Plant man would probably still be in bed by the time everyone else died.

And if it was January 1st, he'd be too busy with the Mummers parade.

I would imagine this is how Shel Silverstein would write if he was drunk at 4 AM and addicted to video games.

I would've been willing to give it a chance. Capcom probably figured this was the only way to really bring Mega Man to modern consoles.

Does anyone remember a flash game from a few years back...it involved "picking up" 7 or so bodies (but the only way to beat the game was to not pick up the bodies until the very end) and had weird music that was essentially tones? The game messed with spatial ideas and involved a lot of thinking outside the box (what looked like a wall might not be, what seemed like a short hallway actually went on forever, etc.).

For the life of me, I can't remember the name of it and I feel like playing it again.

Got to play a bit of Bioshock Infinite over at my buddy's house. I haven't even fought anyone yet and it seems pretty incredible.

Girlfriend is now watching Lost. I'm watching movies on my laptop because I don't care about Lost like I did back in college.

So I moved in with my girlfriend, and there really isn't a lot of room for my comic books. I'll be making the jump to graphic novels sooner than I thought, and what's awesome is that the guy I buy comics from is okay with doing a swap for graphic novels. For some titles, he's willing to do a straight swap (whatever issues are covered in the graphic novel, he'll swap for that graphic novel), other's it'll be a 10 comics per one graphic novel swap.

So that'll be nice. It just means that I have to figure out what I'm willing to part with and what he'll trade.

But Budweiser sucks...

Anyway, yea Snare! Fin Du Monde is great, I just had some for the first time when I was in Montreal last, and I really like it. Though it's something like 9% alcohol, which is stronger than most Polish beers I've had, silly Quebec!

I'm a fan of one the other brews from that company; Blanche De Chambly.

I had mentioned that too (although I'm okay with Bud Light) and he said that he meant in terms of availability in China.

Tsigntao is nice but it's pretty weak. Or light. Not sure if that's how to phrase it really, it just goes down pretty easy like a girl beer.

I've heard good stuff about Yuengling but only from Tennessee people and I don't trust them.

I'd go with light, because I'm a fan of lighter beers and the guy at the sushi bar who introduced it to me called it "the Budweiser of China".

Wreck-It Ralph was pretty fun, especially for those who are huge video game nerds.

Now that my girlfriend and I have moved in together, we're watching each others' shows. I've watched her Vampire Diaries (average CW soap opera crap with vampires; I guess it's really just this generation's Dark Shadows), while I'm making her watch Hill Street Blues.

There's plenty of haters out there for the new Star Trek universe, who are against the use of lens flares, the fact that they would dare have someone else be James T. Kirk and crew, the fact that it made Star Trek cool again, the whole "parallel dimensions" thing, and most of all, reusing stuff from the original show (ideas, characters, the name Star Trek, etc.).

Got a rare chance to watch three movies in one day. Haven't done that in a long-ass time.

Something From Nothing: The Art of Rap (2012) is a decent documentary by Ice-T where he interviews a lot of rappers about where they got their start, what their "method" is, etc. If you like rap, you'll be interested the whole time (some awesome freestyles and discussions of who influenced who), but Ice-T isn't the best interviewer and thankfully it ends before it starts feeling like a fluff piece.

The Parallax View (1974): Largely forgotten thriller starring Warren Beatty as a journalist who quickly gets in over his head when trying to find out why people who were present at an assassination three years previous are now dropping like flies. A pretty decent film, it really reflects the feelings of the 1970s. You've got an immense amount of paranoia in the film - you can't trust the government (either due to being corrupt or inept), are corporations in on everything, why are things being covered up, etc.

Watching movies like Dirty Harry, All the President's Men, The Conversation, and The Parallax View really gives you an idea of the attitude of the 1970s that Hollywood reflected - lack of trust in the government, tons of shady #####, police are corrupt, etc. It makes me wonder why Hollywood doesn't go for this kind of stuff anymore - the closest we've got is George Clooney's movies, but they barely scratch the surface like these films did. Maybe it's because Hollywood is far more chummy with Washington nowadays, or maybe today's audiences would just watch a movie like The Conversation and be like "Duh. We know that all of this ##### is happening, this isn't shocking."

Last film was ParaNorman (2012), which I thought was an excellent children's film. The animation was well done, and there was plenty of humor to keep adults and children entertained throughout without feeling like you're dumbing down the story. I'd like to see more films like this instead of more crap like Shrek and Ice Age.

#####, I just watched "Over-Protective Father", and it's a good thing I was sitting on the toilet when I did.

I never got around to playing them - I'd like to, but I haven't yet.

That said, I was pissed when Legends 3 got canceled because it was going to be the reason why I was going to buy a 3DS. Now that it isn't happening, no 3DS.

I'm the same - I didn't ask for anything, nor did I care - I just wanted to be home with my folks. If they were going to give me anything, I asked for cash to make sure my trip to SW/TX PCA/ACA went smoothly. Naturally, I got everything but.

I've been listening to Beastie Boys "Solid Gold Hits" in my car for two weeks now. Nothing quite like rolling in to work at 8 AM with "Sure Shot" blasting.

Downloaded Star Trek Online. It crashed immediately. One of these days I'll get to be the captain of an Akira-class ship.  :'(

My favorite is Mega Man Xtreme. I used to play the hell out of it back in the day, mainly because cheat codes worked for it.

Rez's plans for making his huge stash of H legal are suddenly becoming apparent.

Arrow is the only scripted show that I manage to catch. I really dig it, and I know if I was 15 years younger I'd be nuts over this show.

Lack of games I think is what keeps this community quiet. How many times can you discuss "Who's your favorite character?" or "What's your favorite Mega Max X game?"

Apparently the game will be getting an update soon.

Still playing Borderlands 2. Halo 4 sits there on my shelf, unloved. I feel slightly bad.
