Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / Re: What MMORPGs do you play?

I do not play free MMORPGs anymore because they're all the same thing, and I refuse to pay for big-name ones because I doubt they'll supply me with the $15 worth of fun I expect from them each month.

Why should they be hung? I mean, that looks like good, quality fun. I've never seen a game quite like that on the NES before. Never. And their depiction of X on the title screen as a fat, 13 year old to reflect the consuming nature of society in a budding economy was just brilliant. I'd have to say, from appearances alone, that game is better than all the NES Megamans. In fact, I don't even have to play it to know that it's better. No doubt.
Also, that music, man. That ##### is my jam.

You're talking about the second Humble Bundle as the one you own, yeah, Majikn? Because, provided you still have the url, you should be able to download the first bundle as a bonus due to it being added onto the second as a reward for the second making so much money.

Non-MegaMan / Non-MegaMan Games / New Humble Bundle

New Humble Indie Bundle is out, this time with games from Frozenbyte. If you aren't familiar with the Humble Bundles, they're groups of DRM-free games for any price you name that are compatible with Linux, Mac, and Windows. The money you spend goes to charity and the developers, with you choosing how much to give each. You can even get codes to redeem the games in Steam, if you feel you must use it. This bundle includes: - Trine
- Shadowgrounds
- Shadowgrounds: Survivor
- Splot (It's not out yet, but once it's released it'll be available to download)
- Jack Claw (A tech demo, essentially. Make of it what you will)
It'll be up for two more weeks.

Copypasta this into your current tab.
javascript:var i,s,ss=['http://kathack.com/js/kh.js','http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.5.1/jquery.min.js'];for(i=0;i!=ss.length;i++){s=document.createElement('script');s.src=ss[i];document.body.appendChild(s);}void(0); Hit enter. Have fun with Katamari.
Apparently it only works with Safari or Chrome at the moment. Not that I'd have noticed otherwise considering I'm using Chrome.
Nevermind. It works just fine with other browsers.

MegaMan Series / Miscellaneous MegaMan Games / Re: yifuigopfuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuy
|
on: 12 February 2011, 20:06:35

Well, clearly you have no taste, as I found yifuigopfuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu uuuuuy to be simply incredible. The implementation of the tripolylithic quadtripplecore graphics combined with the built-in, 3D hard-software was simply astounding, to say the least. And the amalgamation of a FPS and scuba diving treasure-hunt mixed in with some clever platforming and a cooking-simulation on the fourth world was done extremely well. Now, I'll admit that I was skeptical at first, as the story of a quadriplegic man torn apart by the loss of his wife in a unfortunate car wreck involving an affordable, midsized SUV, thus causing the man turn into a masked crime fighter in metropolitan Toronto sounded just a little extreme and far fetched to me, but I'll be damned if they didn't pull it off great. The music in the game is just phenomenal, as well. The song in the opening scene when the man finds his wife has died had one of the most emotionally evoking scores I have ever heard. The high techno beats along with the metal riffs of Kerry King and the vocal excellence of Boy George just simply moved me to tears.
Undoubtedly, the best game of 2010.

Well, my copy of Planescape Torment came in the mail today, so I guess that's what I'm playing. Although, since starting college, I don't have much time for anything, so we'll see how this ends up.

Right, so today was my last day of high school, but it didn't really feel like it. It felt like every other day. Everything came and went like it was just my average school day, and by the end of it, I began to feel a sense of sadness over the realization that I'll probably never really talk to nor see many of my friends after graduation.
It just came up so fast, I suppose. At the beginning of the year it seemed like I still had a #####-ton of time left before now.

I think it's the switching styles bit that's bugging me. Like, I rarely used the slide and charge in the old games, but in 9, it seems like it's forcing me to do so to make up for the increased damage.
Anywho, my cousin is letting me borrow Deus Ex because apparently I'm not a real gamer if I haven't played "the slice of sheer awesomeness that is Deus Ex."
I also ended beating Half-Life for the first time after playing it off and on for the last few months. Now at least I have an excuse to get the Orange Box.

I ended up nabbing the Boys Noize album "Power," and...eh...I wasn't really impressed.
There's really only two or three songs on "Power" that I feel lived up to the standards in "Oi Oi Oi." The rest sounded rather lackluster.

Well, I just beat Megaman 9. I feel extremely satisfied. Think I'll take a break from it for a few days and then start my Protoman play-through.
Oh, and in Dragon Age, I'm in the temple looking for the Urn of Ashes. God, Wynne is useful.

I really wanted to play Fallout 3 over the break and expected to get it as a gift but it didn't happen. My friend brought his over so I got a bit of play on it done but... Eeeeeh I wanna play moorrrrrrruuh!
It's good enough of a game. The only big complaint I had came with the length of the main story, which is rather short. If you're all for exploration, though, there's plenty to find which will add onto your playtime significantly.

Now that I have a console to play it on, I've started Megaman 9. God, this game is doing a good job reminding me how long it's been since I've played the old series. I can already see that there's going to be a lot of trial and error situations in store for me.

BOY, THEONLY, YOUR DAY SOUNDED GREAT! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Right, so I've been mostly pushing through today with a massive headache, just trying to go with the flow. Started reading "Equal Rites" by Terry Pratchett.
Due to a rather large amount of ideas I've been acquiring, I've also been getting the urge to write a short story. I'm not quite sure on what, but I'm pretty sure there will be carnage.
Exams also start tomorrow. It'd probably be a good idea for me to study, but I think I'm just going to say "##### it" and not worry about 'em.

The only way I could see somebody even buying one of these games is if they're one of the #####tards who enjoy the series in the first place.
In which case, they've probably already made many bad decisions prior to buying this.

Thanks, Mike.
I've been listening to quite a bit of whom you've mentioned, and I haven't encountered anything I've thought to be terrible yet.
I've been particularly enjoying MSTRKRFT, Boys Noize, Benny Benassi, and Overseer.

I rather enjoy the dude with the top-hat in the corner and police on the top. Those in particular just happen to make me grin.
Then again, they all looks pretty good, regardless of the fact that they're just quick doodles.

Started a bit of Neverwinter Nights. It was a pain in the ass to install, but after searching around BioWare's forums, I managed to find the solution.
I also started Earthbound for about the fifth or so time.
