Personally, I like the idea of the Gaea armor a lot.
But it's severely hampered in terms of power.

For just all-out awesome, I like the gold-chip-enhanced armor from X3.
It's beautiful.

And I actually liked the Gaea (or Gaia? The game spells it two different ways. >_>) armor... to be honest, it made the bosses incredibly easy with that charge shot it had... it was useless against normal enemies, but against bosses it was ridiculous.

Though I did like flying around with the Falcon Armor...

Oh, and saying the best armor is Ultimate Armor is stuip. That's fairly obvious.

I believe the X1 armor was called the Light Armor? And X2 was the Giga Armor, and X3 was the Hyper Armor? The non-gold one I mean. I remember reading that somewhere, but I can't say it's official.

My favourite, going by those names, has always been the Giga Armor.

That shot is cool looking, but I prefer the horrifying barrage that comes out of the level five double-charge burst shot in X3.
Shortly followed by a saber slash (but then that's not armor).

Still, X3 armor does the most for you, though I don't think it's as cool looking as the Giga armor (if I remember correctly).

X3's was too god moded, and it looked like crap IMHO.

I also liked the Force (Or was it Fourth...?) Armor in X4. Hover... gigantic charge shot... INFINITE WEAPONS (unless you charged them...). It was really nice.

I didn't mind the look of the X3 armour; my only problem with it was the buster, and that was a small problem.

Also it could have used being a little less 'busy', but then again that applies to every X armour except for the basic one and the X1 one.

Part of the awesomeness of the X1 shot is the SOUND it makes. No X game since has managed to match the sheer ferocity of that sound.

X8's armor was the most broken.

Unlimited weapon energy, Nova Strike gets hadouken/shyrouken power status.

But the downside was it looked #####ing gay.

Actually, X8's Ultimate Armor was #####.

You had to WAIT to use the Nova Strike, so missing once means you'll have to wait for a long time for your weapon energy to refill... whereas X4-6's has infinite Nova Strikes.

Personally, I really prefer the Light Armor from X1. It was the first armor I'd ever seen in a MegaMan game, and as it has been said, the sound the charged shot made was UN-FREAKIN'-BELIEVABLE

Also, this is kind of off topic, but who misses the double charged shot from X2-X3?

I liked the Shadow armor in terms of looks, when it comes 2 overall performance I would probally go with X2 Giga armor
