When X gets the blue boots, is he supposed to dissapear (completely) when he dashes?

He seems to be doing this on the PC version of X8.

I would just like to know what graphics effect is supposed to appear when X dashes with the blue boots.  Tell me that.

And if there is a patch for the the PC version of X8, please let me know about that too.

Many thanks.

The disappearing thing is part of the leg armor's effect, when you dash you become invincible to small enemy attacks

Yeah, that's no glitch, that happens in the PS2 version as well.

That leg adapter is awesome. I used that to dodge those humongous waves of attacks that Sigma throws at you rather than shoot a charge shot.

Cool.   Thanks for the info.

By the way, Megaman X8 is an incredable game.  I cannot believe it.

Take care.

X8 is a good game.

I recommend everyone playing it.

Also Zero's Ratsuesen has a cool glitch too.

Recommend that they play the PS2 version, since the PC version is rubbish with it's many graphical glitches.

Though... I think there IS a patch on that game around the net, but yeah... Poorly converted game of a modest one is only so so.

I played it on the PC. With a keyboard. I would've liked it more if I had a PS2.

It wasn't really that good.
It was better than X6, but still ridiculous and had Axl in it.

The controls just felt clunky in comparison to the other games, and there's no excuse for it.

Axl was entirely optional and I only played as him one time when I was forced to in the intro stage.

And the stage design made X6's look good.  Subsystems were awful, the "buy your life ups" was an insult to the "find heart tanks" that founded the game.  Character designs and models were awful (LOL ZERO HAS A RAT TALE).  X8 can only pass as "good" because it followed X7.  It's incredibly subpar compared to ANY of the 2D SNES or PS1 games.

... it has been a very long time since I played X8.
I didn't remember all of that crap.

I revamp my statement; X6 is marginally better than X8.

I liked portions of X8 better than X6, and vice versa.

X6 was more firmly rooted in the general X-style gameplay that the series was founded on, but is overall a very loose and crude addition to the series. X8 is a bit more polished but not in the normal sense of the word, because the gameplay took a massive hit in comparison to how X games should normally play.

I don't really like either of them.

To this day I've still never played X7, nor do I ever plan to.

I bought X7.

I intend to play it eventually.

Not now. I'll probably play it when I get a web cam so I can record my own self-torture. "My First Attempt at Playing Mega Man X7".

I played X7 for ten seconds.

It was in Korean, which I'm not sure it worsened or bettered the experience.

I do admit... in any context other than in comparison to X6, the word "polished" should never be used to describe X8.

I liked X8 more than X6, but I'll admit, when I hear "X8 has been polished" I have to ask, "polished with what!?"

X8 was actually the only game I enjoyed playing as Axl, despite it being, well... Axl.

ZXA doesn't count.

I said that because you were playing as Grey and Ashe, not Axl.

Model A was a tool, and I mean that by both definitions.

MegaMan in MM8 sounds like that, too. It's disturbing once somebody points it out to you.

Even right now, you're probably having flashbacks to those deaths and they're slowly being warped with that small bit of information now tainting the game. You've never had more incentive not to die in that game!

I just thought I wasn't supposed to die because dying showed failure.

God, now I know the true reason. THANK YOU FOR MY SALVATION, GOOD SIR!

Doesn't effect me really. Mega Man was a kid and was meant to be a kid. He just sounded like a kid screaming to me.

Axl, on the other hand...

Thank God they changed his VA.

MM's voice actor is better depending on how he's drawn really. If he's drawin in the MM8 version the MM8 VA works pretty well. And if its the more classic MM then the OVA version is good, which sounds a bit like Charlie Brown.

This is no exaggeration, but he sounded five times better in X8 than he did in X7. It sounds like he's grown up a little, but still a snotty little kid.

Whereas in X7, he was one of those kids that you just wanted to drag by the shirt into a dark alley and beat them until he stopped talking.

The way the description was Type Like This As Pompously Stupid As Possible almost made me didn't watch it.

But yea, sucky voices. And wow, the videos for X7 were really crappily made. Like... Just wow. MML is way older and WAY better.
