I call a lot in this show. Probably 'cause it's not all that original.

Of course, nothing is these days.

It's like Rogue's power from X-Men.

I did.
I'm in AMERICA.

Anyways, who DIDN'T see that coming?
That whole gun scene was a stupid waste of time.
We know she's invincible.
It's not even a spoiler to say this.
You know it's gonna happen in the first second.

That pisses me off.

This episode has been completely the most predictable thing ever for 45 minutes straight. And I'm not at all surprised by the fact that it's been this way either.

I changed mine a little.
It's like Rogue's power from X-Men.

Not really.

Used to work like this;
Rogue steals their powers first. She CAN take their life force next, or if they don't have powers, but it's not like in the movie. But above all, she can absorb their personality completely. She did that with Ms. Marvel. She more recently absorbed a Hecatomb that contained eight billion minds. So she was bit mental. BUT also her powers, because of Strain 88, had gone ape ##### and she had an instant death touch.

But she was cured of all that in Messiah Complex and I haven't seen her since.

Her powers now are just to absorbs memories and powers/skills temporarily by skin to skin contact and it's not lethal anymore (or at least not instantly, I'm not sure).

Yeah. She's one of my favourite characters..

This episode is like... really killing my interest in the series. That entire scene with the gun was just retarded because there is no other way it could've ended. I'm like, "MAYBE they'll kill one of the mothers. MAYBE. Because there's no way they're going through with such a predictable scene."

Like, that was TOO predictable.

Although I thought everything with Hiro in Africa so far was really clever and funny, but that's like what, three total minutes of enjoyment?

That wasted an hour. That was possibly the most predictable thing I've ever seen.
That gun ##### was probably the most obvious thing this episode. More obvious than "he's gonna get hit on the head with a shovel because of that painting" times two. But ##### like "Oh he's gonna walk up and steal all his powers" was clear five minutes early.
I feel jipped. Only Matt and Daphne have interested me at all this season and I'm mad they can't pace the show so they don't have episodes where a lot of stuff happens immediately followed by an episode of the most obvious ##### I've ever written in a bad comic when I was in middle school.

Just finished the first two seasons of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Ugh. I hate typing "Philadelphia."

On a good note, though, I am giving the show two thumbs way up and a letter grade of A+.

Definitely up there on my list of favorite shows.

I feel like I'd be getting a lot more laughs out of the beginnings of every episode if I didn't already know the title of the episode as I clicked it before watching. Every episode starts with a small scene that leads up to the title card, usually using the title card as a punchline to the joke or to make it a little funnier, especially with that happy easy-listening music. But if I already know the name of the episode, it kind of ruins that first joke for me, and I can clearly tell that if I'd watched them on TV without knowing the names of the episodes, they'd all be laugh-out-loud moments for me.

But yeah, that really hardly detracts from the show at all. Just my own complaining. Even with watching it on TV, I'd still see the episode titles since I have digital cable at home.

Mike, you should give it another chance, I'm convinced you'd like it.

I might. TV almost completely sucks this year anyway.

But I'll just watch it online or something either way.

I wish Avatar had been shorter, because I feel like watching it all again. But I'm not gonna.

Do it. I was skeptical at first, because it LOOKED like something I'd like, but I still wasn't sure.

And I wasn't entirely convinced that Danny Devito could actually be funny, and he doesn't come in 'till the second season, so I was thinking the first season would be as good as it gets.

I was proven wrong.

Also, watch this old skit they used to promote Season 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hIs5BYWt_SM

I think "Governor" Schwarzenegger saying "You'll be back!" at the end of one of the "Visit California" ads is funnier than all his comedies combined.

I don't know why "Governor" is in quotes. Well, I do know why. It's because I can't take him seriously.

ANYWAY.

Just finished watching last night's South Park.

HOLY HELL. I rarely make a point to praise an episode of South Park on MMM since I think I'm one of the few that's really a devout fan of the show here, but that was a GREAT episode.
The first episode of Season 12B was pretty meh, and the second one was a lot better, but this one just reminded me why I love South Park.
It's going to be another two-parter or a three-parter, and lately these larger story-arc episodes have been fantastic.
It was actually really funny in the GOOD South Park way, and even though I called the Cloverfield reference the minute I saw Randy carrying around a camera, I was still really happy when they followed through with it and made it funny.

I've seen a bit. It's alright but I have a hard time not seeing it as "The lame guy in Gilmore Girls who got bested by Peter Petrelli and the lame guy from Smallville who's mom was a witch or something paired together to hunt things Angel and Buffy could've killed in six seconds using only dental floss and a pair of moccasins."

But it's OK.

I think "Governor" Schwarzenegger saying "You'll be back!" at the end of one of the "Visit California" ads is funnier than all his comedies combined.

Yeah he does. I don't find it funny, but I do like all those commercials... But that's 'cause I have on LA for some reason.

Yep. Can't wait for Part 2 this week.

Posted on: 27 October 2008, 14:59:29

Last week I downloaded Season 2 of the new Doctor Who, and I'm currently downloading Season 3 (and have been for 2 days now... very slow. Should be done by tomorrow.)

But yeah, Doctor Who Season 1 is probably the most expensive of my DVD collection since it costs $90 retail. I followed it on TV and then got really into it, so I bought the DVD's later.

I haven't watched Season 2 or 3 because I missed Season 2 on TV since I had no idea when it was starting, and then I couldn't watch Season 3 since I hadn't seen Season 2.

I was putting off watching it because I sort of wanted to buy the DVD's, but... I didn't because they're so expensive.

So, now I'm finally catching up, over 2 years later. And I just finished the Christmas episode.

"Fantastic."

Loved the "Very Arthur Dent. Now that's a good man."

For me the last episode wasn't so bad I'd stop watching, it's just bad enough to piss me off and feel gipped. But Heroes ALWAYS has a good one and then a bad one and then a good one and then a GOOD one and then three bad ones and a GOOD one mix and match wash-rinse-repeat anyway so I don't know why anyone is surprised.

I saw the first of the new Knight Rider months ago. The 2 hour thing or whatever. It was OK. I thought it was just a tv movie, and that was it. Then I found out it was becoming a series...

I haven't bothered to watch, and I love Knight Rider.

The only thing I really care about this fall season is Terminator, and that's not on tonight because of the World Series.
