I'm going to use that line, to be honest. That was my mental note the first time I read it, and now that I realized I haven't used it, I'm reinforcing the first mental note.

I think I made the same mental note, and also didn't follow through.

Just two things I did while at Community College.

A cup who helped me through hard times.
A friend who gave me and that cup a level of quality to strive towards.

I'd upload some of the stuff that I think is better, but my art is too big and my scanner is too small.

EDIT: And a little bit of something you'd normally expect from me! Just some graffiti I left on a board last year in Math class.

Yep, I'm making a post in this thread.

No, Sano didn't make me do it! It was completely my idea.

I also didn't post in the wrong topic before.

...

Actually, those are getting better Sano.

Mike, how about a real comment?
I always listen to what you say most, 'cause you've established yourself as a far superior artist.

More!
Yeah, sorry about the quality of the images. It's 'cause I took the pictures with my phone. I'm afraid the drawings'll get fubared if I try and take 'em home to get an actual good scan of 'em.

This is a drastic difference in quality. Sano, you...
... you did good. Sano did good.

I think he's found his medium; charcoal.

Also drawing Yaranaika faces on popular characters.

HOT DAMN SANO. Great stuff, scan that Luigi one in, that looks fantastic. And the hand thing looks pretty kickin' too.

Luigi is funnay, and your shading is improving. Try to get away from that spot on lighting (where shading is ALWAYS on the outside edges) since that's pretty much the least realistic type of lighting there is and you only find it in like photoshoots and stuff. Look up diffused lighting examples and stuff, that's the most realistic and you can put directional shading on top of it later. My favourite part of it is the cloud face though, I gotta say.

The hand one just looks cool, if nothing else. That's mostly attributed to the splashes of black rather than the hand itself, which really only needs work because you lack practice with hands. Easily fixed. But the fact that you're attempting hands is good since most people shy away from them (which is actually very counter-productive).

The Luigi one automatically made me think of "The Scream" by Edvard Munch.

Once shaded, add color on the computer.

His hand seems to be missing a line under the cigarette. You know, the edge of it.

Well, it came out okay.
It's not really what I wanted.
The shading is too bland.
Then my bitch art teacher told me I couldn't use it in my portfolio because it wasn't school appropriate.

How is it not school appropriate?

Your art teacher is the opposite of mine.

I'm sure I told the story here before, but I had a game going for the whole semester where I'd hide a drawn cock in every one of my assignments, and she was allowed to deduct a point if she could find it.

EDIT: I would've said "penis", which is nicer and friendlier than cock, but for some reason, ##### is censored. I bypassed.

I guess smoking isn't school appropriate, and the pose is typical of smoking a joint rather than a cigarette.

So what, just because you are in school means you can't make any kind of satirical statement? I mean seriously, what is art without sarcasm and satire? This is probably the same school where they make you read Huckleberry Finn or Catcher in the Rye for christ's sake. Do you see my point?

Salvador Dali can paint a melting clock covered in ants, and in my opinion, that's making a much more offensive statement than someone simply smoking a cigarette. And just because it's more complex, just because simpletons don't understand it, means it's A-OK. Maybe that's why the artists do it that way...

Great books.
Yeah, reading those and there being no art like that allowed is bull.
