I barely saw Slumdog Millionaire, I ask myself this, "were the hell was I at when this movie came out?". For me, it was a really good movie.

Going on from Inception:

So far from what I can also tell, if you hear anyone that saw the movie and they thought it was "meh", "okay", or "bad"... they most likely got so confused with what was going on that they couldn't follow the movie.

That's an ignorant way of looking at it. There's plenty of intelligent people who understand the entire movie and still just plain won't enjoy it. That happens. Though I at least hope they appreciate the cinematography.

Oh, I finally saw Inception as well.

It was good, but for such a supposedly complex movie it was way too straight forward.

And reading through the topic, and everyone's concerns, there are definitely plot holes and things that make very little sense.

I also thought the imagery of the children was way too heavy.

So guys, I finally got around to seeing WALL-E.  That's how far backlogged I am with Pixar films (except for Up, I saw Up).  It wasn't the best but I thought it was pretty entertaining, and the robots were somehow just as expressive and relateable as the people... which is arguably pretty hard to do with me.

Also, yes, it is better than Short Circuit in my opinion, but that is mostly because WALL-E isn't constantly saying unfunny things.  Doesn't top Fake Indian Guy though.

Wall-E was really good, as all Pixar movies are, and it was something that I've wanted to see for a long time. It's just the above 5 mentioned movies left me either smiling big, in tears, utter awe, or an open jaw.

I've yet to see Inception or Toy Story 3, but I have to agree with you on Up and The Dark Knight.  Both excellent movies.

I think Avatar is far more technically impressive than it is well written, but it's still a very good movie... I just don't think it's quite up to the level of Dark Knight... and definitely not Young Frankenstein, which is one of my all time favorite movies.

Both Inception and Toy Story 3 are definitely on my list of things to go watch, however.

For me, there's a huge difference between films I love and films that I think are the best ever made. I can't make a list of what I believe to be the best films ever made simply because I'm not qualified to - I haven't seen enough films to compare and make an accurate judgement, even though I've seen loads more than the average person.

On the other hand, I do have favorite films, and even though some of them are certainly well-made quality films, there are certainly better films out there if you're looking at them subjectively. For me, though, these particular movies all struck personal chords in me. I can make a list of 50 movies I love, and the order will always change depending on my mood... so I won't bother trying to make a definitive list. Here's three tiny lists of favorites that I usually use as an example of what I like.

THE BIG THREE:
Shaun of the Dead
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
Pulp Fiction

CLASSICS:
Jurassic Park
Back to the Future 2
Toy Story

GUILTY PLEASURES:
Crank
The Italian Job
Zoolander

And then of course I love every Pixar movie, most Kevin Smith films, and an enormous number of dumb comedies. I hate picking favorite movies because I can never remember everything I love... but what I listed generally remain pretty static.

And yeah, there is definitely a difference between "best ever made" and "favorite" for me.
I probably don't like some of the best movies ever made.  I love fun movies... movies that move you... and the ridiculously bad.

There's nothing more fun than forcing friends to watch some horrible piece of trash with you.

Crank walks that fine line between complete trash and pure genius, and the sequel only amplifies both sides of that.

After seeing bits and pieces of From Dusk Till Dawn, I finally picked it up and watched the whole thing with the woman. I don't know whether to not like it or love it. Kinda good story. George Clooney gave me a hard-on. Tarantino did a damn good job. Parts of it were really wicked.. other parts could have belonged in 70's B-horror movies, and OTHER parts could have just been chucked into a black hole.

Deep down it was kind of crappy. But it's one of those movies that are so-cool-you-just-don't-care-nothin'.

I have that favorite and best made thing with games, too. Like, LoZ:OoT, to me, is the best game there is, but it's not my favorite game.
It still is pretty high on my favorite game list.
And I have to watch a lot of movies I've missed. A lot.

Yeah, that's my Most-Anticipated-Movie of the year by far - Toy Story 3 was my second-most-anticipated. Then Inception. Then The Expendables.

Edgar Wright has apparently delivered again. All I've been hearing about is how amazing Scott Pilgrim is since it screened at Comic-Con. I'm literally counting down the days 'till it comes out because before hearing about how great it was I was already too hyped. I get a little too excited when it comes to Edgar Wright - I remember being this way when Hot Fuzz came out.

I highly doubt it'll do better than Inception, though. Inception was... more accessible. This is a VERY NARROWLY AIMED film targeted SPECIFICALLY for people of our generation who don't mind a silly movie like this. For those of us who DO love it, though, I have a feeling it's gonna' be a new generational anthem.

The comics are really fun, but not everyone likes them - and I don't blame them. They've got that hipster vibe that you kind of have to fight past to enjoy.

What I mean is that I know that myself and several other like-minded people will LOVE the movie, and I know that both from my faith in Edgar and what I've been hearing all across the internet... BUT the problem is that it's just not the kind of movie that has enough universal appeal to knock it out of the ballpark and make a huge impact. It's most likely going to be on par with something like Kick-Ass, and at best something like Zombieland. I really hope it kicks off though.

What are you talking about Nickelodeon for? I mean, sure, that's a part of it, but not at all specifically what I meant. I'm just saying this is for the more nerdy, active, "ADD" (though I hate attaching "ADD" to this) generation of the late 80's and early 90's. We all grew up on pretty much the same stuff, be it Nickelodeon or MTV or whatever.

All I mean is that barely anybody above the age of, say, 30 is going to care about this movie at all. And there's plenty of people in the 18-25 demographic that will think it looks stupid or pass it up. It's not going to be a money-making machine. It doesn't have those kinds of legs. What it DOES have legs for, though, is establishing itself a cult classic, a generational anthem, and a good film. All of which I'm quite sure it will.

Also, Nick Jr. didn't have anything good until Blues Clues, and I came from a home where I wasn't allowed to watch Pee Wee.
