The Zero series tries too hard to be hardcore without giving any middle ground to inexperienced players.  The games punish you hard for making the wrong decisions and you have very little room for error.  Not only that but the game #####s you over with the ranking system that's been put into place.

You could probably say similar things--Other than the ranking system stuff--about the original MM games, so while I don't like the Zero series, I have to disagree with Xero's reasons (in part).

Well unlike most of you, I dont go out of my way to go and tell people how bad it is.

You're the only person here going out of your way. As Majikn said, we were already here. If anything, we're going INTO our way, and only when asked, really. If we ALL had the same opinion and cared enough to "go out of our way" or do any sort of EXTRA work for it, there would even be a section for the Zero series or a General Zero Series Enquiries thread.

In fact, you're going out of your way to tell us off or something (I really don't understand you), just for having a different opinion than you, of which you, a stranger, shouldn't even care about.

And as ASR said, the forum isn't as active as Gaia Online or some stupid thing, so every member tends to join in every conversation and, personally, I like that.

Your assumptions on people's motives when it comes to a discussion are incredibly incorrect. What you're proposing is fallible.

Similar to/just like what ASR and Mike are saying, we come on the forum for a discussion. When I see there's a new post or discussion to be had, I check it out. Just because I don't like the series, doesn't mean I don't want to discuss about it. If I feel that I need to reply on a comment that is said, I will do so. If not, I will move on to the next thread, etc. I am in no way going against my own will or "taking the trouble" to say something.

Like Mike said, you're not making any sense, and we can all see that.

Hilariously enough, they cover the spikes that are easy to avoid, but then they neglect to cover the ones that EVERYONE IS GOING TO FALL FOR.

Easy Scenario is Easy. I beat it within the hour.

Seriously, they give you filled subtanks, fully leveled weapons, all the elves are used so you're fast, strong and you jump high, and your health bar is sky high, you can use command charge shots, AAAAND you have that secret Cyber Elf that lets you go invisible for 30 seconds when you hold B..

And you STILL think it's hard?..

The game just isn't fun whatsoever. Even with ridiculous handicaps it feels like a chore to play...

It's not hard, but I was dying in it, because one of the bosses has some stupid spike ceiling BS that I didn't notice at first.

Oh, and Zero 2 had a FALLING spike ceiling during one of the levels, and there was NO warning for it at all. ..I'm just moving and BAM I'm dead. But of course Ciel will contact me to tell me I need to jump over that hole in front of me.

It's not hard, but that doesn't make it any better than regular mode... well, regular mode would cause me to break my DS in half in rage, so maybe Easy mode is for me.

Yeah I figured. It's fun for me so that's where ##### differs. I really don't see much more appeal to the game though, they really didn't change much; it's just like X collection. But they did enhance the soundtrack, and I know people will hate on the gameplay and stuff and that's all daisies, but if you disrespect the soundtrack I'll stab you to death witha rusty spoon.

I have no problems with the soundtrack.

I don't even know if it's because I suck or if I'm impatient anymore. I think I'll continue playing more eventually... if anything to at least say I've beaten them. I've only beaten Zero 1 on the GBA.

If you can play original and original-style MM games without the headache then it's probably the Zero games' fault.

The soundtrack sucks.

There are VERY few good pieces of music in the Zero series.  Now, from a TECHNICAL standpoint I am actually impressed how much nicer the music sounds being rendered on the DS's sound chip.  It's a lot like the Phoenix Wright games when you compare the sound quality between the GBA and DS versions.  I really wish they'd go back and do that with the two GBA Castleroids.
