I think we needed a topic like this to discuss the remakes of MM7 and soon coming, MM8.

I know this is pretty old, but I went ahead and downloaded Rockman 7 FC to give it a shot, out of boredom. It's nice, familiar, and yet totally different at the same time. I can tell that the engine is closer to Mega Man 9, which is a good thing. But playing this game made me realize the difference in all these Mega Man games. In my hours of playing Mega Man Powered Up lead me to assume that Mega Man can jump 4 horizontal block gaps and 1 vertical block upward (If that description is weak, I'm sorry). However, the engine is different, and can only jump 4 blocks across, not 4x1, although in both games Mega Man can jump a 3x3 gap, it's much easier on MMPU.

I used to do some weird jump in Freeze Man's stage in the SNES version, where while shifting screens, I'd land on the top platform in the next screen, to make the run much faster. I can't do this in this version.

Jumping gaps in this game are much easier in SNES version, but I guess that's because Mega Man is a little bigger. Maybe that explains why I died so much during Cloud Man's stage playing this NES remake...

Or maybe it's the fact that I'm playing on a keyboard.

... I need a game pad.

Anyway, discuss.

Rockman 7 FC / Mega Man 7 NES.

Gamepads produce massive amounts of lag in my experience.

Then your input is configured in an esoteric manner.
It's a basic function, really.

Sorry, I meant input delay, not LAG lag.

Don't make me repeat myself.
You shouldn't have any delay.

Seriously, I use a gamepad and experience none; not even when I was using them on really old PCs.
It just seems wrong to me.

Oh yeah, already found a glitch, although it wasn't hard to find. It's not much.

Some of you probably already know, but make the elevator shafts in Junk Man's stage move up and down using Thunder Bolt, and then ride one up. Move off the elevator to the side to the closest ladder, and you'll be standing on the ladder, in the air. Jumping or climbing it will overwrite the effect, but it can be redone.

Decide if you want to call it "Rockman" or "Megaman" and "Famicom" or "NES".

And if you choose the wrong ones, we'll send you to RPM.

I've played the NES version of MM7. It's fun. I don't think I beat it, in fact I'm sure I didn't.

I know what you mean about MMPU, especially when I was in the craze of creating levels. I knew exactly how far MegaMan could jump and all the pixel-perfect possibilities, it was crazy.

How about Rogaman 7 on the FaNEScom?

I could care less, more, a whole lot, none at all, take your pick. Whichever is supposed to be accurate in the English language. I really don't care.

It's the same game, just from a different country. The jumping between Famicom and NES was accidental.

I beat it. It was INSANELY difficult. But then again, I think the original is hard as well.

I used up all my E-Tanks and everything, panicking on my keyboard, yelling "STOP BEING SO CHEAP" every time Wily stood near the ceiling of the final battle.

What kind of point is "I care a little bit at least" ?

Any thoughts about a possibility for a Mega Man & Bass remake?

It's not that good, it doesn't need a remake really.

What Mike said, though it would be neat, and I could only see it being made for the sake of making it 8-bit too.

Eddx, Google is your friend.

Man, just be helpful. I realize that helping newbies is annoying and sucky but you could literally almost answer any question on the site with "Google is your friend" and then what's the point of any forum? And then ru di doo di doo Google takes over the hworld.

I was being helpful. That was honestly the least asshole-like response I could think of.

I actually meant it as like, "Hey, this is how I would find it"(Because that is most likely how I'd find it), not, "HAY, I'M A DICK YARHARHAR DO IT YOURSELF MUTHER#####ER!"

Though, I can see how it would come off as a dick response, it really wasn't my intention.
