This topic exists in the hope that newcomers to MMM will not clog the forum with one-question topics, and topics that have already been raised several times.

Basically, it exists to solve simple pleas, so if you're looking for help in a X Series game, or you have a simple question about this series, ask it here.

Out of curiousity, when is the new X Source Book coming out?

I heard it comes out next year in March.

Don't know the exact date in March it's being released though.

And it was horrible thing that happened to the Mega Man community, yes.

We must acknowledge these tragedies, in order t prevent them from happening again.

The X series is headed in the direction of a holocaust-themed plotline, anyway.

They already made a sequel to one of those two.

I got a question about the Megaman X Collection. I'm planning on getting it as it's price looks really affordable for the amount of games. I've never played x5-6 and it'd be nice to try x1-3 again. I've heard from somewhere though that the collection is missing a few features from the games, anyone who owns the collection know if this is true?

X3 is the Sega Saturn/Playstation version..

Other than that I don't see anything different.

My only problem with it is that it takes beating all the games to unlock Battle And Chase. That takes me a long time because I lead a busy schedule and am usually doing at least 3-4 things at once.

You only need to beat X1-3.  And you can use passwords.

Oh yeah. But I have a harder time with those ones, especially 2 and 3. And passwords isn't really playing.

X2 is usually hard due to the X-Hunters, but with enough care and all the items you should be able to take them down with little difficulty.

Similarly, X3 has a few tough boss battles, but pick up the Saber and you'll be fine.

The older X games are easier for me. The bosses are ridiculously easy when you have their weakness. The last couple fortress bosses are a pain for me.

If you can get into it, it gets fun...

... but yeah, it's a poor racing game. At least they tried.

As for MMXC, I found X3 to be the hardest of the first 3, and Sigma's difficulty seemed got harder after every game.

... that is, excluding X6.

I kinda think so too now, but with my first couple of tries fighting him... that #####er wouldn't die...

And Sigma in X1 is definitely a peace of cake. Sigma in X6 was just about as hard as he was in X2. Maybe easier. It was pathetic.

And the one in X5 is pretty easy, his first form is.. His last form can be taken down pretty easily..

So I guess X5 Sigma is the only one that's classified as "hard" now? >.>

With Gaea Armor, X5 Sigma was pathetic. But otherwise, I'd need 2 Full Subtanks to beat him.

X6 Sigma was sad, and with Shadow Armor he was even more sad.

X5 Sigma is always pathetic. You can just jump in the top corner of the screen and he can't even hit you.

The multiple head business in X4 pisses me off to no end.

Hey guys, do you know damage-wise if the buster upgrade charge from X1 and X2 are any different? X2 has that double charge thing though I thought the charge from X1 was wider and easier to kill with.

The X1 supercharged buster shot did somewhere between 12-15 damage to non-boss enemies IIRC (1 damage being a single shot without dashing), while the X2 double-shot combined for like 12. Mostly similar, yeah.

X8 sigma is a #####ing joke.

I never got to far in X8, I thought the entire game was joke.

I know I may get killed for saying this, but I thought X8 was a huge disappointment after playing X7.
